EDIT: I just figured out that any amt of turbines placed will cause a large amt of sim speed droppage. PLEASE FIX.

There is a major problem me and a friend have experienced with this mod. It should be pretty easy to fix. It took us forever to figure this out.... whevever we placed more than 1 geothermal turbines on our station the sim speed of our game would drop down to .50. After the reducing the amount of turbines to 1, the sim speed went straight back up!

Would you be able to make an admin block using the same code that is just a single block with no effects and a higher power output? I ask because that would be very useful for safe zone bases or outposts that are neutral. I in particular am trying to make a gate network with the stargate mod, but I don't want AI, meteors, or animals to be able to damage the gates. I also don't want to have to refuel the little gate stations. I know I could just stack a bunch of the geothermal plants underneath the terrain and call it a day, but that would take a lot of space and I'm not sure if the smoke effect will make it above the ground or not.

So, I followed the exact setup in the screenshot, and put ice in the Geothermal Assembler. on the actual power plant, I still have one yellow light and one green light. What am I doing wrong?

Found the issue with turbines not registering occasionally - updated with fix.

I dont at this point, next time i load into the world I will create one.

The only requirements for the turbine are:
1 - The Plant is online and working (otherwise turbines turn themselves off - lights will go red).
2 - The Plant is functioning (turned on, has fuel, in voxel and in atmosphere)
3 - Turbine is anywhere on the same grid as the plant and there are no more than 10 turbines per plant

If the turbine will not turn on, in the Custom Data it will give a little info on why - for instance No GeoThermal Plant found, or Unable to register to GeoThermal Plant (means plant either isnt functioning or there are already 10 for that plant and a second plant wasnt found), etc etc

This mod is awesome!! Im using it with a mod about a machine that creates ice using energy and while on planet surface, and it works great. I can make ice, turn it into energy, and keep making ice.

Initial testing with the turbine upgrade for power output is done, not just cleaning up the model for it, getting better textures, and build states. Should have it released within a day or two!

@L337gamer21 I've always thought coal would be an awesome addition to types of fuel.

im 99% sure you could copy paste the uranium ore and name it coal to get it spawning in the world.

big thick dirty clouds of black smoke would be fitting. :)

But the real challenge would be getting it to only work on oxygenated planets with reduced effect on low oxygen planets.

could even go as far as making it so you can pump oxygen into it while in space. :P
