when i activate this mod, the bloody trincket spawns every time and their cards are too common

Three of (Suit) should just spawn three of those types of pickups around you, for game balance's sake. e.g. 3 of Diamonds should spawn 3 coins (some have a chance to be nickels, dimes, lucky pennies, or stick nickels, obviously)

I went into the config file and noticed
local xThreeChance = 12
local BlCardChance = 25
and quickly changed it too:
local xThreeChance = 1
local BlCardChance = 1
Which seems to have helped. Still find atleast 2 3x cards a run tho, which i don't prefer.

things you should use bloody card with if wanting to kill yourself (list incomplete):
- hemathemesis pill
- literally anything if you have no red health

The description of the end goal sounds amazing... sadly it has too many issues to justify keeping it for now. A few constructive criticisms... The "three of " cards are much too common and easy to get, making the "two of " cards seem rare but unimpressive. Main reason why I kept it for so long was the idea of the bloody card... but it has its issues too. I was surprised to find that the card went in my trinket slot. I had a different card at the time, and I tried to use it, but the bloody card activated instead. Before I figured out what was happening, my confusion and attempts to get the intended card to work caused me to use the it enough times to kill my character and end my run. It's pretty clear that might not be ideal... I think it would make more sense and cause less problems to make it a one-use card rather than a trinket. Hope I helped, and sorry for the long post.

These spawn way too much... I thought they completely replaced other cards bc of this. But still it just makes it way op and should instead be rare cards in my opinion

I'm afraid I have to agree with the others here that the cards added by this mod spawn way too often. Bloody card spawns at least five times per run, in my experience. Besides the excessive spawn rates, I really like the idea of the Uno cards, card shop, and the other plans you have, so I hope you do return to fix this mod.

Is there any way to lower the frequency of the spawns? If they all appeared less often, these cards would be fine.

Great idea but everything still spawns wayyyy too much. These would be some great rare items to add though.

Just had a weird interaction - bloody card trinket + full health pill, instantly killed me from full health (I didn't have any red hearts though, just around 8/9 soul and black hearts). I just heard several damage noises in rapid sucession and all my health went. Not sure if bug but very annoying interaction.

i wouldnt say having your trinket spawning 4 times a floor is a proper solution :) even your cards are droping way too often

We kinda hacked our way in, and added some functions to have a chance to replace existing trinkets in rooms or just randomly drop them at room completion. Isn't the most elegant solution but it works ;)

Did you guys actually figure out how to make custom trinkets drop? Last I checked they didn'tunless you spawned them in the start room.

Updated the mod, finally cards and stuff does spawn in, and we added a new trinket for you to play around with. With Saxarok we'll now start and adding loads of new content, since the foundations of the mod are now built, and we got our functions ready. Expect very frequent content heavy updates, hopefully!

We have yet to look into it, it will be added in as we find the way to add it, as soon as we get a few cards and features in to get a bit of content to play around with we'll work with the major and more complex features. As I said, suggestions and help are still really appreciated, so keep an eye out for everything if you'd like to suport us!

@Merlo I don't think it's possible to properly add new special room types yet. The people on the modding of Isaac discord or reddit may have found a way, but I do not know it.

Gavin's idea actually solves a problem we had with the deck of cards not spawning custom cards in, the way we're trying to implement cards. It could be done easily, but some cards like the threes would be left out from the normal spawn.

Also, when the shop will be integrated, we will try and make it so that it does not replace libraries.

a way to balance this, is to make it so it can't spawn naturally. It must spawn from (insert deck of cards copy here), the uno cards or the card shop

Yes, good ideas and a lot of potential! My suggestion would be that always keep in mind the overall card balancing of the game! An issue I see coming with mods is that you can unbalance your game quite easily if you're not thinking about it, but since yours is a mod focusing on adding more cards, you are able to have more control on that area.

One unbalancing example I can think of is that tarot cards may become too few and rare in comparison, although I'm not sure how to deal with that, maybe having similar deck cards being alternatives of each other rather than additional cards so their number doesn't increase that much in raltion to tarot cards? Having cards with combined effects of both groups? Well, anyway, good luck!

Tried to see how often they'd spawn using the deck of cards and the unlimited charge debug command. Couldn't get any of the 3s to spawn even after about 100+ rolls. Are they not coded to appear using the deck of cards?

Now do these appear as often as any other card or is the chance of red-back cards unchanged and these have a chance to be among them? I'd personally prefer the latter.

Seems like a great mod with some awsome potential!,in case you need more ideas for it,here are a few:
Royal Flush:Causes: the Flush! effect,the Lemon Party pill effect, or a Golden/Rainbow/Black Poop will spawn.

Bloodied Card: A trinket that allows you to use cards infinitely...at the cost of a full heart every time after the first use. Description: Power > Life.
