Nevermind what I said, I watched the playthrough and it was my fault. Have to say, though, I never would've solved it, seeing how criss-crossing it is.

The map is sort of broken. I got stuck with a frankencube being captured in the tractor beam and no way to generate a new one, since the cube does NOT fall in the waste water (or however it is called) and the pedestal button is set to infinite, meaning it can only be used once.

Devilishly simple design. Hard. The dash for the sphere was a little too twitchy for my taste. Relying on the frakencube to do his job was humorous, novelty, but kind of risky to rely on. I never would have thought to use the frankencube that way. I got stuck once I had the two laser cubes. It looks like I'm supposed to use the two cubes to reach the laser catcher, then bounce out the room, but I couldn't get it to work at all. Also couldn't figure out what to do when I used portals to activate the laser catcher.

Super quick dash to sphere? Did you caught it like in walkthough? I think it good timed. The one thing I can do - add few seconds before sphere will die.

I'm glad I got to play this after the 'mean' faithplate was fixed. I dislike mean Portal maps with unnecessary tricks and super-tight timings.

You entertained me with this, but I think the sphere retrieval method is pretty mean. The runthroughs outlined by other players suggest that the intended method really does involve a fling and then a super-quick dash to grab the sphere before it hits the goo, with a miss requiring a whole new setup. That's unpleasant. A method for catching the sphere with a funnel would result in a better puzzle, imo.

Now that u got the sphere ball, take it back to the small room for its proper place and go back to the laser room, the 90 deg. angled panel should now open and release the 3rd laser cube.

with 3 laser cubes, assemble them as followed:

Now u should get out of this room with no portals needed to make this portal path:

Ok so ....


Getting the 1st and 2nd laser cobes r now easy to understand, after that u'll need the sphere ball. To get that u need a portal connection between the floor on the laser room and the floor on the main room (the specific tile which u jump to reach the pedestal button on the surface(!), this button releases the sphere ball).
To do that u need to 1st fly with the faith plate (with the 'mean-crouch' thing) so u could view both rooms from 1 location, now shoot those portals:

Jump from the orange to blue portals to hit the button, fly back from blue to orange to go back asap to the laser room, u'll have about 2 seconds to catch the sphere ball as it lands to the deadly goo.

Read comments again and add observation rooms. Now you can see all droppers. I hope it will help all test subjects to clearly understand what they should do.

GP^| BlacKy, yes, there was no visible wire, I just fixed it. I was confused by the wire from tractor beam. It passed close to pedestal button so I was confused and thought it's a connection to ball dropper.

Random(), most of people forgot that they can crouch :D

is any veteran-portal2 way to use the aerial faith? i can t reach the small tunnel to go to the other room.i hit my head to the dropper or to the edge of the tunnel.

What i dont understand is how the 45 deg angles surface in the laser room helps me with making a laser route from emitter to catcher. ?


Meatbag, i'm sorry if u didnt want me to say all that. just tell me here and i'll remove that spoiler. (altho if some1 doesnt wanna know they just dont have to look, right?)

Hmm.. I've been trying momentum jumping over that small hatch but couldnt make it. MeatBag said there is a button which drops the ball but i saw no 'wiring' to that place plus i kinda pushed them all.

This is what i know so far:


* After getting a franken cube, release it on the small room near red lasers to get the 1st laser cube, after that u can get another franken cube from the same way which u got the 1st (momentum jumping to the ceiling and pressing the pedestal button).

* While being on that small room, click the pedestal button on the floor to operate the angled surface to 45 deg.

*To get the 2nd laser cube, use a franken cube or the 1st laser cube with the tractor beam on the main entrance\exit room to push the weighted button at the ceiling.

*On the laser room, the big button on the wall does 2 things:
1) reversing the tractor beam's direction.
2) opening the exit door.

@Blacky i m still working on it, no ball in my hands yet, i have some ideas that i test right now, but i think will be wrong.

If ball destroyed you should press button for a new one :)

Random im begging u, tell me how to get the ball!!! use spoiler filter if u wish, i dont care. but do i have to climb there Lara Croft style? or just push a button so it'll fall over to my hands?

what a headache this map :P , tell me one thing, if the ball is destroyed, another one will appear, right?

I recorded playthrough and will be waiting 1-2 days before publish it. Maybe someone can pass the map.

Ok.. I already used hint 1-3, got 2 reflector cubes.. don't know how to get the ball...

Small update to easier access to the one of the rooms.

Here is the hints for all who stuck.
Hint #1: Use crouch when jump on faith plate
Hint #2: Your hands are longer when you hold something
Hint #3: Franken cube can move himself
Hint #4: you have enough time to catch the ball in the room with laser. Just think how to place portals
Hint #5: You have enough reflector cubes to send laser into catcher without portals
Hint #6: Angled panel will help you making hint #5
Hint #7: Reverse the beam!

alright.. i have the skills now.. still have no clue what to do.. I can reach all three rooms and only have the franken cube

Never made it back to the first room. Crouch before landing trick is really mean. I don't have the skills for that. Had to give up...

You've got lazy cube :D Kill him and get a new one XD Maybe you put him wrongly? In my tests he always ran.

i get it now... but there is a bug with the franken cube he doesen't walk on the floor it just sits there^^ i retried several times but he keeps sitting there. i dunno why

I don't think it will be so hard. Maybe I'll add walkthrough video 1-2 days later and move this map to my "hardest" collection )))))

Try to trace connections from buttons to droppers and etc.

This map doesn't require any skills except swing in portals to enter the rooms.

that's a nice trick for the jump, i little bit mean but nice^^ still can't figure out the puzzle though, got to the third room but there's nothing to drop those cubes and the sphere in any room. the forth romm is just unreachable ath this point.

Faith plate: crouch just before landing. Or it's a bad trick?
Solution not too hard, it's unusual. Maybe it difficult because I split it in two rooms?..

Did you remove emansipation grill without portals ?

your faith plate in the second room isen't working as it should. and i coulden't finish the map, the solution is either too hard or too well hidden.
