Updated to the latest version, i only lightly tested it but it should be working. I also tried to streamline the mod so that it would work better with other mods

I'm running 3.7 so I know this isn't officially supported, but this is the latest version of the mod I could find, haha.

Anyway, Detection Array modules don't show up if this mod is active. The tech shows up but it doesn't unlock anything. Disabling this mod fixes the issue.

wait my mod was still working up until now? Wow, i am surprised lol, i have not really played in a few years, i can try to look into updating it but i am very out of practice and do not have the time i use to have so i make no promises, but i will try

I made an update, it id based on what AgiantPie suggested, so they are not FREE persay but cost 0.01 energy, i tested it a bit and it seems to work, however i did not get to citadels. I do not have as much time to play as i use to so I am hoping this fixed the issue

I think somethings wrong with the mod it costs thousands of alloys to build an outpost was working before the update and i use no other mods could you look into please.

@Robert I made my own fix to the strange outpost high cost bug. If you set the base outpost upkeep to 0 and the upkeep for the other levels to 0.01, then you don't encounter the huge alloy cost problem. Starbases will then have a very tiny amount of maintenance, but even late game it doesn't reach 1 energy credit per month, so it's effectively nothing. Possibly a more reasonable hack than giving citadels a discount of several thousand alloys.

after some trial and very frustrating error, i found that whatever the lowest upkeep = 0 (in this case being the citadel) it would use that alloy cost, because when i changed the cost of the citadel it then started using the cost of the starfortress of 1250 alloys, I have NO idea why because it was working fine in 2.2.1, i was playing it last night without issue. Until i can figure out why it is doing this i had to combat it by changing the alloy cost of the citadel to 100, i have no idea what that is going to mean for the actual cost of the citadel, my guess is that its going to just cost 100 alloy, but who knows, this was a weird bug. I will TRY to figure out how to fix it, but until then, that was the best fix i could come up with

what it looks like is it's giving the price for the star citadel for the base outpost option. citadel is 3500 alloy upgrade cost.

As a heads up, the mod is jacking the costs of starbases up to 3500 alloys. Tested with just this mod only.
