@Hal-ium The Performance version also includes optimized textures. The norrmal, non-performance version just includes the uncompressed version of the package. Both packages will help you to get better performance (as it's not only CPU dependent, also Disk I/O), but, for sure, the performance will also avoid the struggle of your GPU.

Would this make any difference on a GPU limited system? I've got a laptop with an i7 4810MQ (4 core 8 thread 3.8GHz) but the graphics are only the intel iGPU, a 4600. I currently get 50-60fps in most scenarios, large areas with lots of props can drop it to 40 and combat may drop it to 30. I'm also running linux and skyrim is running on proton, so I'm not sure how easy it will be to get the .vbs files to install properly. From the description it sounds like this mod helps mostly CPU limited systems, and I'd just like your thoughts on whether it could make a difference for me before I go breaking everything because linux.

Game runs SOOOO much better. Before I was lucky to get 30+ fps but my game is now running 40+ no sweat. Even big battles with dragons attacking everyone run smoothly at around 35 fps whereas such battles used to run at 15 or 20 if I was lucky. Great mod and just removes that worry I used to have in the back of my mind as to whether or not I would overwhelm the game with scripts. 10/10 Would definitely recommend.

Also I am running both of the performance versions.

For all of you guys who are having problems while installing it or using it:

After all this long time, I finally got some free time to create a new partition on my PC and install a fresh-new Windows installation on it for testing this. That means that I had a completely fresh Skyrim installation (no mods, no SKSE, nothing, just vanilla). I followed the instructions of my own mod's descriptions to install each of the BSAOP version, and they all worked perfectly on new games and even existing games (which I had because they were downloaded from the Steam Cloud's backup)

So, I discard any problem on Steam's side or Skyrim's side, because as I said, everything went as expected in my clean installation of Skyrim. I would like to help all of you who are having troubles with this, but please, check that you followed all the instructions properly.

Have a nice day!
PS: I'm posting this on every BSAOP thread, I don't want this to be unnoticed. Sorry :)

Kal-El, what would there be pictures of? Its the vanilla textures, uncompressed. It would look exactly the same as the high res DLC.
