Any plans to convert this for LWOTC? I'm sure it's not a simple task, but I really enjoy this mod and would love to use it in my new playthrough. Anyway, thanks for making this mod!

when i kill enemies while using concealed suppresor,other enemies of the pod cant see anyone,my other guys cant see anyone,LoS breaks,even when i save&load wont fix the issue,i looked through config files there are some options but i dont know which one will fix it or not,can anyone has knowledge about this,thx

something happen
when i kill the last member of a pod and no other enemy saw/sees me
but the suspicion level not resets to 0?
it work right in Global Suspicion and wrong in Individual Suspicion

is this intended?

I have 2 questions, I've been using this for a while.
1. I've killed all members of a pod with ab ambush ( 5 shinobis ) an I still role for detection, is this intended? As I can take down pods, I only use this mod for picking off one enemy at a time with a stealth shinobi or killing drones. Is this how it should work or am I missing something?
2. you mentioned pistols in the desc, but how do we silence a pistol?

I wonder if there is anything I could do to make the soundmapping work with the Halo Reach Weapons mod? Kinda annoying and immersion-breaking when all the silenced assault rifles in the squad go click, click, click and then the silenced Halo sniper rifle goes BOOM!^^

I don't know if this is still being updated, but it seems I can't use it anymore. I have this problem, where I silently take out one enemy in a pod, then the others start looking for me. But when it's their turn and they move... the game just stops. All the animations go on, but no one does anything afterwards, as if waiting for something to finish, and it never becomes my turn.

The author doesn’t support basegame mods anymore because he has only the wotc sdk installed. But it’s probably a mod config that stopped it from working, so I would check the last mods you have added.

Recently the suspicion level doesn't show at the top right corner of the screen, and passive doesn't decrease the suspicion level(with LW). Could author check it? It's time for updating.

Using this mod and the Katana pack unloaded mod (both great!) for LW2. When silent kill for melee and concealment is retained, enemies search the area around the body. When kill with weapon (e.g. sniper rifle) and concealment is retained (suspicion within boundary), enemies run right towards sniper even if not activated (as per tactical UI mod). Any ideas on how to make weapon kill act like the melee kill?

I suppose it may, though I'm sure there may aswell have been a couple of people who might've had the wrong idea including me where as they've had to spend a while in order to try and figure out what's causing problems. I'm glad you took it in to account though, stealthing is definitely a thing that XCOM should have!(even though I'm often not one for stealth gameplay in video games)

I changed the description, but its generally not a good idea to use a mod that has Long War 2 as hard dependency stated in the side bar of steam without Long War 2. This should be fairly obvious.

Yeah like what Shurenai said, I spent more than an hour in order to just figure out which one of my many mods was causing conflicts and crashed my game upon launch, it'd be really nice if you could make it a little more clear.

Goth Skunk, perhaps this is intentional. Maybe a better strategy is to keep a few units who stay in concelment, who scout ahead, and help you plan out attacks with your revealed units. Then after The revealed units whittle them down some, they fall back so that the enemy needs to chase. It's at this point that that the concealed units sets up their ambush, and strikes when the enemy gives chase.

Okay, I have a beef.

The 'Ambush' mechanic needs some tweaking.

As of this moment, I'm playing Long War 2 and I'm about to assault the Blacksite. Every member of the squad with the exception of the Shinobi has brought a suppressor on their weapon. I'm at a point in the game, however, where really only my Death-from-above sharpshooter can one-shot most enemies, and that's with Precision Shot active.

Ambush only appears to work if every enemy tagged is killed by the shooter in one shot. So if six friendlies shoot 3 targets and kill them all, but it takes all six friendlies shooting to do so, squad concealment will end.

That's ridiculous.

How can I tune the mod to fix it so that it works the way it ought to?

On reading this line, I understood it as "If you do not use LW2, You can use CovertOps Gear to get silencers", Meaning "COGear <In Place Of> LW2" in order to use this mod.

But on reading your responses, I realized that you meant "If you do not use LW2, Use CovertOps" Meaning "For a vanilla game, <Use That(Covert Ops), Not this(Tactical Suppressors)>"

If that makes more sense.

Basically my mistaken understanding was that this mod required silencers to do its work, And that it procured them from LW2 in order to function, But that CoverOps Gear could be used to add silencers to use this mod without LW2.... Just my tired brain failing.

Ahh, Okay, I misunderstood the line "If you do not use LW2 you can sub to CovertOps Gear for silencers." in the description as saying COGear could be used >In Place Of< LW2, instead of the more intended meaning of use that not this.

My bad :) So whenever I switch over to LW2 I'll switch from COGear to this. Thank you for helping me figure that out, Been trying to figure out what I was doing wrong for a good while.

CovertOps works for vanilla, Tactical Supressors only with LW2. Maybe you need to clean your config folder.

Had it downloaded/subscribed, but not enabled, Description seems to imply that CovertOps Gear could take its place by providing the suppressors without LW2, and I wanted a bit of a refresher course on game mechanics with the standalone Long War mods (SMG/Leader/Perk/Etc) before diving headfirst into full on LW2.. Would that effect it any? (And if so, Why would it still cause the crash when those are all disabled?)

Having an issue with crashing on launch when this mod is enabled, Whether just this and covertops is enabled, or all the mods I use.. Game launches to main menu fine with this disabled though, So I'm a bit baffled... Any thoughts?

Found a good bug :D

1. Be in a mission with concealment
2. Save
3. Have soldiers in a position where they can see two pods.
4. Activate one pod (kill an enemy) without breaking concealment.
5. Do anything to break concealment (miss, not a one-hit kill, wander into red square)
6. For example, while the shooting animation (that will fail to kill) is playing, reload.
7. AI breaks: as long as game is not closed (but you can even alt-tab out and Hibernate your PC), all enemies will just stand there, and will never reat to anything.

You can test after reload: awakening mini-cutscenes do not play, enemies do not scatter on discovery on that or any future missions, the only thing that sometimes happen is if you have the ADVENT Scouts mod on, they may sometimes fire on Overwatch.

Have been able to reproduce repeatedly.
Do not fix. ;3
(seriously, Long War takes a long f*yay*ing time to finish if you're a compeltionist like me, I kinda wanna move on already...)
