The sword says to "place it in hot coals to turn make black soul gems" but I don't know how to do that, can you help?

yo the current wielder kinda refuses to die even with commands, I think Umbra made him too powerful lol

someone made a Russian version of this mod for Skyrim SE on Nexus and weirdly Credits you for the files but also states that it the files aren't from anyone else so you might wanna check that out.

Umbra decided to reduce its soul trap time to 6 seconds because it does not want to encourage you to switch to a different weapon for the kill. It thirsts for blood.

Why isn't it 120 sec soul trap, like in both Morrowind and Oblivion, instead of 6 seconds and some other uninterpretable crap?

This is the best Umbra mod by a long shot and i miss it badly in my current playtrough.

I've got to say, this is probably my favorite weapon mod in Skyrim, despite what people think I really like how made Umbra fit in with the rest of Skyrim with it's new texture. Not to mention I love the effect of soul gem conversion. Overall, this is a great way to tribute the fabled weapon that didn't appear in Skyrim.

Great mod pls add the other Legendary bethesda weapons forgoten in Skyrim like Bluebrand, Shadow bow, Anarerens Devil Tanto, Chrysamere .... you know :)

Seriously, to the people that are saying this is one-handed, it originally wasn't anyways concerning the fact that Umbra (both the artifact and its wielder) first appeared in Morrowind (just behind the mountain ridge of Suran where there is a lone Orc warrior named "Umbra" whom is waiting for a warrior's death). In Oblivion (the sequel to Morrowind), that is when Umbra was a one-handed sword......which just like the OP and author said in the FAQs...........(we) like to pretend that never happened.......

And the novelty book "The Infernal City" (where Umbra gets destroyed) is not part of the actual lore, it's fanfiction and of the C0da. (Unless someone wants to reiterate and correct me that the Infernal City is actual lore, which I believe it isn't at all)

Just wanted to say how much I love everything about this mod, from the soul gem forging to the voice in the sword. I actually turned off the music to try to make out the mad gibbering of the sword. Don't tell me if it's just gibberish, I wanna find out on my own. :)

Also, something I noticed, and maybe it's just a coincidence, but I think the sword actually gets slightly quiter after killing a bunch of dudes. If that's actually the case, good on you! That's right in line with how I imagine Umbra working. If it's not, well... still good on you because you tricked me! ;)

Can't say how disappointed I was that "Oblivion Umbra" was one-handed. Thanks for restoring Umbra to his rightful status, while still allowing the "latecomers" to have their one-handedness. But adding the ability to convert soul gems ... SWEET!

I was reading all the description, and your sarcastic humor is already getting on my nerves, instead of leaving silly answers just be serious and answer the questions normal like anyone else who's normal would do it, don't add any useless and weird stuff to your answers, and if you mention questions, take out the ones who seem at least a little serious and don't add all questions of people just to show that they might have no idea and make jokes about them, I mean how old are you that you're making jokes about it? 3 years?
