The code for this one is incredibly out of date...it would take a rewrite to get it on rep which, while it wouldnt be too hard (the mod is rather small), I dont think it's worth it as is rn.
I may do a more modern iteration of this one someday, as I still like the concept....no promises tho.

Hey, it only took 4 years for someone to notice it. If you dig long-ass descriptions check most of my other mods, most of which have equally larger descriptions, usually just 1 character away from the limit.

It has a lot of bugs in rep, but, yea, it does work kind of fine if you use the challenge....It's way too buggy for me to say it's compatible with rep tho.

I've tested it in repentance. It seems to work? The only thing broken seems to be the bosses. Chub only had the head segment and did not seem to have an AI. I'm terrible at the game though, so I never did get very far.

Tbh, no, that would require the mod to be recoded completely and I havent touched this mod in 4 years. It's not even pported to rep yet, dunno if it even works there.

It's the only Rebirth dlc that actually managed to hype me so far, so it's looking like it's going to be the best dlc.
If you are asking whether or not my mods will work with it then I'd say yes, I'll make sure my stuff works with rep. Ideally I want my mods to work with both Rep and AB+, but some of my future mods may only work with rep (I still have 1 more big mod for AB+ in the pipeline tho).

I may come back and remake this one one day, I really like the concept but theres so much I would do differently nowadays(specially after the API improvements we got over the years, take in mind this was done mere days after release).

Nah, crash dumps dont help at all most of the time. What helps is knowing what wave were you on, what other mods did you have when the crash happened and what monsters were on screen.

Havent touched the code of this one in 3 years, so I'm not exactly surprised. Still, I cannot do much with a "crashes often" report. I remember this one having it's fair share of incompatibilities, so try running it on it's own and it shouldnt crash. If you ever get any useful info about the crashes I can look into them, just let me know.

If I had to make this mod on today's day and age I'd just make this configurable. The good news is that I do want to revisit this one sometime and remake it from scratch. 99.9% of this mod's code is completely obsolete now, the api was a lot shittier back then and I didnt know how to do much with it since.....noone knew, I pooped this sht days after the game released, lol.

You can play it on easy, there is no time limit there. The time limit is there to prevent breaking it too early and make active items more attractive.

Thats weird, it should be around the time the first pickup spawns. With that info alone I cant really know what happening(it works fine for me) so here go a few questions:

What difficulty are you playing?, Do you get to see the pickup spawning?, did you try opening to console to see if any errors pop up?, what are your system specs?

Be carefull with overheating tho, I had one of my computers toasted and I always check my temps after that,
I recommend Coretemp to check the temperatures, you can set it so theres an icon in the taskbar that tells you the temps and it even gives alerts when the temps go too high.

As well as that minor fart in memory, pills such as "I'm drowsy" and "I'm excited" last way longer than 10 waves. I had to struggle the first 50 waves because of an "I'm excited pill"..

I went ham and ran 200 waves after the crash with MM :3

No, I simply did too many things at once. Right as wave 21 was beginning to spawn, I popped MM and that made my Laptop fart out a crash. It does that when it overheats :3

Hmm, that really weird. Wave 21 should be pretty safe and MM is a safe item too, at least, I couldnt reproduce the problem....
Do you have any other mods that change mama mega, active items or any specific monsters? (specially one that adds new variants of monsters). If you have way too many mods to check, try to head up to "C:\Users\<YourUser>\Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+" and open the "log.txt" file. Search for lines that contain the word "error" or "err" and paste them here. That could help identifying possible mod incompatibility issues.

You know what?, thats not a bad idea at all...dunno about spawning the button but it could be made that holding a certain button for a certain period of time teleports you to the endless room with your current items.

Short answer: No, as of now you can only play the endless room on the challenger of by pressing the button at the start of a run, but I do like the idea so, who knoes?

I'll clarify again that the crash has nothing to do with the items unless you are using other mods (you say it's not the case I'll discard that). Unless you are in wave 200+ and/or have a low-end pc and/or a very specific set up you shouldnt be crashing just by having those items.
If i had to make a guess, I'd say that you are crashing when you fire your brimstone over the mob spawners (marked with the Xs) and kill a lot of monsters in a short period of time which overloads your memory and results in a crash.....again, if this is whats happening, theres nothing for me to do, your pc/set-up cant handle the mod.

Again, if you have time, try enabling whatever other heavy mod(not a single item one) and get the same items that you get when you crash with this mod, you'll most likely crash too.
After some waves, this mod gets pretty heavy, with a lot more monsters and sht going on in a tight place so performance is an issue, not one that I can solve or, to be honest, are interested in solving at this stage.
