I've updated this. I moved the hover pads to the feet so that we get a true 3 meter lift. This assists in better movement over terrain so that the feet won't get caught on any random rocks or such. I also used the 2x2 hover pad as opposed to the smaller ones as the smaller ones were not balancing the SCV properly and it was tiliting forward so now it is completely stable. Still a bit wonky to get used to useing when mining and still a PITA to get out of the holes you dig but it is functional.

Just a note for those who are frustrated with the controls when mining, if you hotkey the "auto rotate" command then when you hold that button down the vehicle will level out to the ground properly. This also works with SV/CV's as well. This will help immensely with the controls both while traveling and while mining. There is enough control here to "punch" with the drills to drill specific area and it works especially well when you lock the position. Getting out of holes you've drilled out can be a bit tricky but the boost is usually enough to hop out so long as you have a clear path. The other option is to drill on an angle and "climb" out, all of which is possible with the SCV.

It tilts forward easily and the drills are far enough out to work. If you hotkey auto rotate then when you hold that button you will level the SCV out. This is necessary because it's easy to get turned upside down while mining. It's also not a fluid process but it's more for theme then anything. Also the CC is still building :)

How do you mine with that? sadly EGS doesn't have rotors and or pistons which they should look at doing!
