Hey dubs, gotta report something, this mod uses the glasses from ReBuild: Doors and Corners (https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3262718980) , thats awesome, but the addon for this mod dont (https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2016959026)

Maybe someone else make the addon when he continued your mod and now that you updated it he forgot about it, i should report it to him too

Here's a feature request, I'd love to have a vac barrier skylight that would allow for shuttles and orbital drops into a pressurized room on orbital bases. That way animals can be purchased without exposing the poor things to vacuum.

Also, this mod and Bad Hygiene have been indispensable for my asteroid base. Solar heaters under skylights are providing most of the heat, indoor gardens (with swimming pool and hot tub) are keeping up moral and the farming "domes" are producing more food than they can eat. It's an orbital paradise. My colonists thank you, Dubwise!

for some reason my pawn go to make glass with steel and then no glass is made. they finish the craft and go grab more steel to make more non-existent glass... i don't have many mods installed and get no warnings on startup

There is a bug I think, skylights dissaper on grav ships when you move maps.

you can build Indoor gardens where colonists can do outdoors activities by making a 100 cell room with at least 50 cells covered by light from skylights and at least 10 beauty plants. If another roomrole overrides it then remove the buildings that add points for that role

Might be a dumb question, but can I make indoor gardens on space stations and asteroids and the like? I think it would be cool to use this mod to make a space station with a garden, rather than just using the shipborn meme and calling it a day.

Hi, quick question, do the skylights also allow scanners (ground penetrating, orbital, long range) to be build and work from inside? I'm was looking for a roof-mod that would let me build hatches like an observatroy roof, that links to the scanner and only opens when needed or not in space, since I mainly want it for Gravships. The skylights would work fine if they'd allow it and can be used for Gravships. I know there are mods that just let straight up build indoors but I don't really want that.

Thirded with the solar in glass setup, its nice to be able to enclose spaces for vaccum and repair. i have a ship where my solar setup is interred in the middle area and i wanted to combine that space with some of my other structure parts that cant live in vaccumn

@yellowdotchuck Put solar panels into a separate room and use the Zone tools to remove the roof? It's not like you can use the space anyway, so it doesn't matter if it's exposed to vacuum.

pushed a fix for spawningWipes, so it wont destroy things like plants when built in the same cell

Not sure if this is something you can fix on your end or not but currently races with the photosynthisis gene (from vanilla expaneded: Phytokin) count as out of sunlight while under a skylight.

I tried to give them a skylight above their bed but it doesn't seem to work.

yes they are air tight, but they aren't working with solar panels yet

Hi Dubs, I really am interested in making a greenhouse in my new run using this mod. I found a few things from other mods that would be really fantastic to see combined with this one for that to come into fruition, but I think that the authors that were making patches are MIA at this moment. Would you possibly consider folding in compatibility for your mod together with Glass + Lights and also Rebuild Doors and Corners? Or at the very least only Doors and Corners?

I did find the following patch mod, but again it seems the author is a bit unresponsive right now, as they had info reported to them back in 1.5 even that there were issues with the compatibility claimed: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1610803364

I really love the aesthetic choices you could make with the combination of these mods, but obviously we don't need 3 versions of glass running around. ;)

Follow-up PSA: in fact they will cut plants (immature pumpkins, at least), if your gardener gets to the garden before your builder does

PSA: pawns won't sow under a skylight blueprint! I set up skylights over my garden room but didn't have someone crafting glass (d'oh!), and kept wondering why no one would plant anything. Not sure if it's by design, but it's fine, just make sure you have the glass before you start setting up blueprints. Can I just say, I love Dubs mods :steamthumbsup:

For some reason the skylights stop working completely after a reload, not allowing light through anymore. I have MultiFloors installed, so maybe it's causing this issue?

Unless you have an auto-cut mod, no and never. And cutting and nuking are different things.

Well, new skylights still nuke the plants underneath them. But looks like colonists can sow under them after a reload buttkick.

@Dubwise v1.6, can't grow anything under a glass roof, and the glass roof destroys any plants directly underneath it once built.

Is it intentional or some sort of mod conflict that the Skylights more or less "suddenly" stopped working for Dub´s Hyiene´s Solar Heaters?

My game started crashing if I try to remove skylights or a drop pod breaks them. I have to use Dev mode "Destroy" to remove them.

with this mod i see the shadows create by sunlight INSIDE of the building and the trees is not auto cut after building a roof

I'm not sure if it is caused by another mod or this one, but whenever there is a drop pod raid on my base that drops the pods where the skylights are the game crashes. Not entirely complaining because I think this form of drop pod raid is stupid, but I can see it being annoying for others.
