Found another crash, if you go all GTA on everyone and get your weapons, then loop around and kill the scientist with the shotgun, it instantly CTDs

I haven't finished the map yet, but I will say in spy04, that music that plays when you fight the guards and scientists, is probably about the most kick-ass song I have ever heard play during a fight XD

Maybe? I know that the " A Spy On A Way Home" has a crash with a teleporter, but a crash with the crying scientist, this is the first time I hear about it.

So if you could try it by disabling that scientist mod and see if that stops it from crashing, would be great.

Can it be related to the Character Expansion mod? because all the scientists are messed up because of it (dirty, injured, some with barney vests).

Hmm, seems like the latest patches has caused this to become quite unstable.
I still want to update this, will see if I get time to do so during the christmas holidays.

You can try just moving into the lasers, I think I included a failsafe there.

it was designed when the game was still in early access.
I will probably do a full recompile and fancy the maps up more, when I have time and energy for it :)

You can turn off the music in the settings - sound tab of black mesa.
The sequel allows the player to choose if they want copyright or vanilla bms music.

Is there any way to change the music to copyright-free music?

No idea why that would happen, the new update must have broken a lot.
I'll see about getting a new update out sometime this month.

whenever i try to talk to the lady at the door in the beginning the game crashes

When I talk to the lady at the beginning and do the normal talking option, the game crashes before she finishes speaking for some reason???

Make sure you're not ingame, the texture pack is quite large so it takes some time to download.

It may be because I'm playing this and the xen beta but it's a little broken unlike the original upload.

This is one of my favorite maps I've ever played. It is unlike any other map! Great Job!

Yeah, that command is both a blessing and a curse. I use it at the start of each level to get the custom sounds to work, but it stops all currently playing sounds, so I have to tell ambient sounds to play when the player reaches their area.

Thank christ for that "snd_restart". Had a game crash and then the "oh you poor boy" voice clip wouldn't play.

Yeah and one in the endgame.
The gameplay was designed around that the player shouldn't have a use for the crowbar, as it just slows the player down due to them stopping when they use it.

Is there only that 1 crowbar spawn in the corner of the shipping container? I found it but it seems weird to hide the only melee weapon like that.

It's weird that you get the error message since it should only occur on multiplayer.. But could be worth testing it.

I have 4 gb RAM, which should be enough to run Black Mesa. I have my games saved on a hard drive, though its not nearly half full. the error message is "Buffer overflow in net message".
What can I do? Is it my pc's fault?

Hey, up front I really love this mod, especially the times when the player is put into these big areas full of enemies, but unlike in Black Mesa, i never got frustrated or felt it to be unfair (I am playing on Hard difficulty). However, at the part where you reach the Quarantined Zone filled with headcrab zombies, the game, at seemingly random times, stops, after which Black Mesa sends the error message: "Disconnected, error in net buffer" or something similar. I didn't see if someone else had this problem. Can you help me?
