Just a heads-up: do NOT use this mod. It's horribly out of date, and it wipes leader traits from a lot of leaders.

I used both mods and they both worked great and the icon showed up

No it does not clash. You have no idea what you are talking about.
Nothing clashes since both mods work completely fine. If you'd looked at the fourth screenshot you would see that the designer does not show up in the research information window, but the bonus does apply once researched.

I can see the bonus when I hover over the designer, but it does not seem to carry over to the actual aircraft when I research them.
