Some have special portraits, I tried to be as diverse as possible using in-game assets. Nope, they have their unique set of abilities (generally similar from what is expected of that faction) and different stats, it is not just the "unique" name.

Doesn't matter, hero data this is very specific, shouldn't conflict with most other mods.

Yes, Is one of the mods features, I cannot disable the same hero appear twice, however the odds are quite low as you have a massive pool of heroes. Still happens from time to time, and yeah, there's no I, II, III... Is intended.

Hey, I tought this mod disables the doubled heroes (example hero I, II, etc.) but you can still get the same hero multiple times. Just with the same name and no II or anything. Is this intended?

Yeah, some ugly conflict there, the modification to the hero market is pretty straightforward. If two mods go after the same part of the game (in this case: heroes) is likely that if not designed specifically to work together, you will get an undesirable outcome. Just put the preferred mod up in the load order, so it can overwrite the other mod when conflict appears.

Nov 22, 2020. Tried this mod for the first time. It did the opposite of what it's for; reducing total heroes to about 5. Read comments for advice. Moved mod to last place in boot order. Same thing. Still takes away the heroes I was getting from other mods, and even has fewer heroes than vanilla.
Removing mod for now. Will check back in later, to see if any updates.

yes, sometimes mod load order is important, but there might still be some incompatibilities that are less noticeable so be wary

Could you make this compatible with Heroes of Auriga? HoA uses basic units as heros and this and that mod conflicts which causes the custom heros to be invisible if they have the model of a basic unit. Oh and you can't close the hero inspection menu if it's one of said custom heros.

hi thanks for your mod. i have a question tho...ive tried diverse heroes mod but i absolutley HATE when enemy factions attack using a hero (model or not) that belongs to my faction. so my question is .... will enemy factions use my heroes or will each faction only have access to there heroes?

example - my faction mezari runs into a broken lord army using a mezari hero.

Not sure how that's possible, as the kapaku heroes should have some tag disabling them if you don't have the expansion.

Just looked through your localization files, and the hero name is in your files, so I believe it is coming from your mod, though I can't confirm that your mod caused it to show up. Still, any thoughts, and solution to avoid having to start a new save without this mod?

Not 100% sure it's this mod, but I somehow managed to get a Kapaku hero even though I don't have the mod, and when they level up and I go to edit them, they aren't there, so the UI won't let me exit and I have to use /quit to get out, losing my progress. Thoughts?

Please consider bringing back the numbered naming system. I really liked it, and it feels odd now that it's gone. Also, like "Not Thanatos" said, it's confusing with more than one hero that have the same name.

It kind of sucks that this mod makes duplicate names not be numbered anymore because I cannot tell the difference between two heroes with the same name now.

I can't change how the heroes appear using this kind of mods, only the size of the hero pool. That must be done in the core assembly (DLL file).

I like the idea @Kaiver, but I would like it to be expanded to also include any race whose capital the player in question has acquired. That way, you could get other faction heroes, but only if you control their original capital.

Can u create the possibility (option) to Race specific heroes in market ?

It would be cool addition. In my opinion - it more logical and immersion to be able to choose the heroes of only their own race.

What u think about it like a mode creator?
