Nice mod, level 86 in legendary mode I could not progress very far in adept mode the enemies still overwhelmed me quite fast. I used various weapons, paralyze had no affect on any of them.
Wound up coc whiterun to get out never getting to the end of quest.
Thanks for the mod it was very tough.

Enginseer89 6 Aug, 2017 @ 12:23pm
I remember Lyran: "Leave this castle or die mortal... like all those before you!"
A_Random_Panda 11 Nov, 2016 @ 9:59am
if you cant get out of the dungean use the coc console command and put in the city you want to teleport to
Pastrana 25 Jun, 2015 @ 2:05pm
Lyran can't be killed by melee or magic. the urns have to break to kill him. or at least, thats how the game Baldur's gate worked.
Pastrana 22 Jun, 2015 @ 10:51am
I remember that place in Baldur's Gate DA 2!! You needed to be so OP to survive that place!! I hope he uses his quotes from when he chases you through the basement! "You will die here, mortal, as have all those before you!!" "Your life will come to an end in this chamber, mortal, as did mine." "RUN, FOOL, RUN!!!" Those quotes are the only ones i remember, possibly because i spent a few months before i crushed that first vase.
Hugo 22 Dec, 2014 @ 8:33am

Skyrimmaster21: Haha, you're quite lucky. I was checking my comments when you posted this! Once you read the letter that you receive from Urag as soon as you install this mod and load your game, you will learn a new spell. It is called "Portal to Lyran's Hold". Cast this spell and you will be teleported into Lyran's Hold. Thanks for taking an interest in this mod!
ZeginXX 18 Apr, 2013 @ 4:03pm
where is Lyran's hold, there is no Quest marker
Gallantfuzz 22 Mar, 2013 @ 7:11am
I just added it on I am a ok level player not a high powered one yet.
HighWarlordBob  [author] 21 Mar, 2013 @ 8:55am
inglett2011: No, this mod does not require Dragornborn. Thanks for taking an interest! I hope you enjoy :)
Gallantfuzz 18 Mar, 2013 @ 3:04pm
Question: This requres Dawnguard? Because I do not have that DLC. I am Looking to add on to my game time. Just board with the main quest line looking for more action.
Hoshino Kirby 8 Jan, 2013 @ 10:40am
alright I understand thanks!
HighWarlordBob  [author] 7 Jan, 2013 @ 12:59pm
dragon rider: There are no problems with the mod that I know of so far. I put that warning there so that people are aware of the fact that mods can cause problems, whether it is because of conflictions between mods, or simply because of a technical problem in the mod. That being said, this mod has no known issues so far. By itself, it functions flawlessly. I have tested it many times to ensure this.
Hoshino Kirby 7 Jan, 2013 @ 10:11am
he your mod looks awesome on the screenshots but i don't onderstand way you said
" WARNING: Make a back-up save or two before installing this mod. I don't want to be blamed for what might happen because of some stupid technical problem." way make the mod so that there can't be any promlem?
Governer Workshy 29 Sep, 2012 @ 4:36am
I've gotten into Lyran's study and found his chest, and even after reading the Grimoire the quest marker doesn't move or update and all it does is increase my Alteration. I've enjoyed the mod so far and it's been very, VERY challenging, as well as very rewarding, so thank you for that :)
jordyexists 2 Sep, 2012 @ 3:33am
It might have also been caused by a corpse resisting the spell resurrection beam and still giving me the active effect while it wasn't tied to an actor; unsure about this, but I do remember that the ghostly armor corpses would resist the spell when I used it.
jordyexists 2 Sep, 2012 @ 3:32am
The console command you listed removed the spell from my known spells, and left the 4 effects remaining. I might've used the resurrection beam spell to reanimate them, since the active effect's title is 'Resurrection Beam."
Even without the spell known, with the active effect still active the townspeople still treat me with fear. However, opening the console, clicking on my character and then typing in the command 'dispelallspells' and hitting enter did get rid of the active effect and solved the problem.
HighWarlordBob  [author] 1 Sep, 2012 @ 5:23pm
jordyexists: Thank you for bringing this bug to my attention. I am not quite sure what could be causing this. I do however know how you can remove the effect manually.
In order to do this, you must type [help "<insert effect name here>"] in the console (without the brackets, but with the quotes around the effect name). The console will output a list of all the references to the effect. Search through the results, ignoring the magic effects, and find the spell with that name. It should be accompanied by a series of numbers and letters. Finally, type [player.removespell <insert spell ID here>] in the console. This should manually remove the spell effect from your character. I hope this works for you, and if you have any additional questions, please let me know. Thanks again for bringing this to my attention, and I hope you enjoy the mod!
jordyexists 31 Aug, 2012 @ 8:51pm
Also, I found another bug. It seems after using Lyran's staff to raise a few permanent zombies, even after they were dispelled (I summoned another 10 temprorary conjures, then another 10 permanent conjures which I killed just to be sure) the townspeople and merchants still act as if I am travelling with a summoned creature. (Generally telling me that my magic scares them.)
In active powers it still shows 4 cases of the appropriate buff (I forget its name off the top of my head) with a duration in the 40-thousand hour range if I recall correctly.
It sounds like the buff is not being removed correctly when the raised creatures die, hence why the townspeople are still treating me as if I have an army of revived Enslaved Dremoras from your dungeon following me around.
If you know of a console command that would allow me to remove the effect manually, I could do so to confirm or deny whether the NPC's reactions are linked to the buff or something else which isn't apparent.

Hi everyone! Sorry my recent inactivity. I've been quite busy the last couple of weeks with my return to school, amongst other things. Hopefully, I'll be able to get back to work on the next dungeon mod sometime soon. I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying this mod, and I hope you'll enjoy the next one!
jordyexists 29 Aug, 2012 @ 3:05am
My fault, found the right urn. Cool mod!
seneca37 29 Aug, 2012 @ 2:12am
Good quest. Finally some challenging oppenents (I'm lvl 81). Just one request - I really wanted to kill Lyran myself. After being constantly harassed by him, I was ready to spend some quality time fighting him. THANKS!
jordyexists 28 Aug, 2012 @ 11:46pm
I'm also having the problem with the quest not updating properly. Lyran is there, and has been hounding me for a while, but I have reached his ostuary and destroyed most of the urns (most, because it has opened to a room filled with urns which seem indestructable and do not explode in a puff of magic when I use them.) The quest still says I should be looking for his Ostuary. Something isn't scripted properly or was defined incorrectly.
Otherwise this was quite a good mod, definately one of the more challenging mods I've seen! Thanks for making it!
kaeptnjoker 27 Aug, 2012 @ 4:03pm
I just tried reloading to a save before I entered to ossuary. The Journal doesn't update, and the urns don't appear. Now something is definitely broken! =P
kaeptnjoker 27 Aug, 2012 @ 3:56pm
So I destroyed all the urns in the ossuary but nothing happened. There was and is no questmarker. The journal was still saying find the ossuary so I used setstage to advance it a bit, next stage was destroy the urns (which I thought I had seen already) Seeing as I had done that already I went ahead and advanced the quest another step. And apparently that was too far, because it now tells me to take the key from slain lyran, who has yet to show himself. (coward!) Any idea what went wrong and how to fix it?
kaeptnjoker 26 Aug, 2012 @ 12:40pm
Wow that's one tough dungeon! About 4 dozen kills and 150 arrows (that's not counting the ones I could recover) in this mod teaches me an important lesson: Even if you fancy yourself deadly and invisible, you should still save your game from time to time! -.-
Mistslicer 11 Aug, 2012 @ 4:29pm
HighWarlordBob, this MOD sound epic but the skill level to play is out of reach of many, how about turning it down so more of your fans can get in the game? Thanks
HighWarlordBob  [author] 7 Aug, 2012 @ 1:25pm
To all those who are interested:
I have just begun work on a new mod that will recreate the Molten Core raid dungeon from World of Warcraft in Skyrim. I intend for it to be a challenging low 60s dungeon, as it is in its original form in WOW. You can expect lots of fire and lava, and lots of epic encounters. However, you will need to have the Dawnguard expansion installed in order to play this mod. I hope to be finished with it soon. Wish me luck!
Mistslicer 6 Aug, 2012 @ 4:36pm
HighWarlordBob Many thnaks for considering a MOD to address Maven Black-Briar dispicable ways. I am having nightmare just dreaming of how good it will feel to see her squirm. Lets see now, a servant, freeze her, sell her off as a comfort woman, oh my, all sounds good.
HighWarlordBob  [author] 1 Aug, 2012 @ 1:13pm
brendagf2002: When you load up your game, you should receive a letter from Urag gro-Shub. Reading this letter will begin the quest and teach you a spell which teleports you into Lyran's Hold.
TheFinalScone 1 Aug, 2012 @ 2:03am
so where can i find Lyran's Hold
HighWarlordBob  [author] 31 Jul, 2012 @ 6:31pm
I just released a new revision that adds in some nice, eerie blue mist to the dungeon, as well as numerous delicate icicles to its ceilings. I hope these additions bring some life and variety to the appearance of Lyran's Hold! :D
HighWarlordBob  [author] 31 Jul, 2012 @ 4:53pm
dextonl: The Maven Black-Briar mod is a brilliant idea! I've always hated her guts as well, and I'm sure many other players share our distate of her. If I happen to grow tired of adding small tweaks to this dungeon throughout the next few days, I'll be sure to remember to try and make a nice little quest to put Maven in her rightful place. Thanks!
Mistslicer 31 Jul, 2012 @ 3:33pm
HighWarlordBob I know you are busy, so thanks for taking the time to respond, I certainly appreciate your feedback. Creating a lower level dungeon is great incentive for me, so no rush on this because your slate is full. If you should ever run short of ideas, please consider a MOD that will allow for removing the Mavien Black-Bria from the Jarl seat in Riften. This woman is pure evil feasting on the sweat of others and in the game there is just no way to give her a good "ouch" where it hurt. Again thanks and looking forward to many more good MODS from you
HighWarlordBob  [author] 31 Jul, 2012 @ 1:07pm
dextonl: Thanks so much for the compliment! I truly appreciate your feedback. On the topic of level recommendation for this dungeon, I actually had a friend complete this dungeon recently as a mid-60s character. So it is certainly possible to complete the dungeon and its quest with a character lower than level 80. Perhaps sometime soon, I'll make a 50s or 60s dungeon so that a character lower than level 80 could have an easier way of building up to this dungeon. In the meantime, I wish you well! :D
Mistslicer 30 Jul, 2012 @ 9:35pm
HighWarlordBob, thanks for the feedback. I am only a Level 53 Dragon Born, tried taking on the quest but had my buns handed back to me at the entrance. I have a long way to go to get to level 81. I am tired of killing dragons and bears and it takes too long to advance farther in the game when there is no really good quest line to follow (finished the game) and most of the open quest lines are broken for me, such as returning the Thief Guild to it's former glory, joining the college of Winterhold even though I am the Arch Mage and continuing some of the Companion Quest (kill this animal here or there or the Leader in a Dungeon). Sigh! This MOD looks awesome.
HighWarlordBob  [author] 30 Jul, 2012 @ 3:40pm
jmoots2: The letter teaches you a spell that teleports you into the dungeon.
dextonl: It is entirely possible to become level 81 legitimately. That is the current maximum level in Skyrim and can be reached by increasing all of your character's skills to 100. All that is required is a lot of time.
Mistslicer 29 Jul, 2012 @ 8:18pm
Did you say Level 81 Warrior. That must be a type o error. What did you tweek to get such a high level?
jmoots2 29 Jul, 2012 @ 4:26pm
As soon as the game started, I got the note from the guy in the library at the College of Winterhold. But that's as far as it goes. Where is it... no directions of where to continue the quest??????????????????
HighWarlordBob  [author] 28 Jul, 2012 @ 7:18pm
All In One Pancake just made a new title image for me that looks much better than the old one that was up just a few hours ago. Thanks!
HighWarlordBob  [author] 28 Jul, 2012 @ 4:01pm
Hi everyone! I've been working on this mod for about half a month now and I finally just released it publically. This is the second mod I have published and I hope you all like it!
For those of you who subscribed to the mod in the few moments after it was published, you may have a bug with the portal pillars that should allow you to leave the dungeon. I just now released an update that should hopefully fix that problem.
Thanks to all who come and try out this mod in the future! I had a lot of fun making it and I hope you have a lot of fun playing it.
jeff 24 Jul, 2012 @ 6:52pm
Super awesome.
