Here's an idea: what if it fires entire flaming aerosol cans instead of flares? It could function like the Demo's Loose Cannon, only for the Pyro. If the can hits someone, they get lit on fire, but recieve no impact damage. The can can bounce around like a cannonball, and explodes after a while, causing both explosive damage and igniting anyone around it. Though the can has no damage penalty for exploding after bouncing, it will have a longer fuse than the Loose Cannon's projectiles.
