I had little knowledge of the in-game economy so i made the crafting receipe quite bad now I think bad, if anybody has any ideas what the recepie should be, leave a comment. Also if I update this, I will remove it being craftable in a smelter
player.addperk 10f13f
After doing that, you can craft this version of the skeleton key.
but now you dont need to spend perkpoints to get the unbreakble picks. ofcourse you are screwed when you endup in jail.
I can understand where your're coming from, the next time I work on a mod, I was planning to seperate this mod into 2, then I can put more work into getting the skeleton key to work, I would have to see if I could trigger the add.perk value when the player recieves the item
This is thinking very far into the future, I only made this mod to try out the creation kit, I still can't believe so many people use this :)
Making your own lockpicks is interesting, however with the amount found in chests, houses, and shops, this mod quickly loses viability. Once your lockpicking is high enough to never break a pick, you'll only EVER need to carry 1.
Don't like the skeleton key in any way, feels cheap to have 200 lockpicks in a single item. Also, there has to be scripting problems with having the skeleton key in skyrim as its quest forces you to give it back.
Edit: This mod has potential for warrior/mage characters, as lockpicking likely isn't a skill you would be investing points into.
I will be updating my mod soon to change the skeleton key to be only craftable when you have the right perk, this should fix problems with the key breaking, because you don't have it (which I still don't understand why)
@ Treodeo
Making it craftable in the workshop, it will give you exp, whereas the smelter doesn't
Also, my first version of the mod let you craft the key and lockpick in a tanning rack :)
@prepboy
His stupid what?
And a drumroll! *little man whispering in my ear*
WHAT!? You are out of drums!? How is that even POSSIBLE??
Sorry if I dissapointed you, Warmo. e_e
(LOL, I Love Roleplay. ^o^")
I may edit the mod so it can only be craftable when you already have the perk, as I guess you will be given the perk when you unlock the key legit in-game this is done by doing the thieves guild quests
@President Brobama
This won't conflict with that mod, I could create a new mod where a skeleton is really easy to craft but its not supposed to be like that
I may change the mod so you need the perk to craft it, I can't find a way that the game will give you the perk when you recieve the item after crafting it
Maybe you should complete the quest this item is in before crafting the skeleton key
Hmm I might do that but im not sure lol
