@SunSu Draconis There is a WOTC version by another modder, it pretty much does the same thing and allows you to recruit Psi rookies from the start.

You can open up the class data in the mod folder and make sure that forced number in deck is 1, or download commanders choice, or select to train them in the gts

Sooooo, am I just really unlucky? I've leveled at least 30 rookies since getting this mod, but not a single one has turned out to be a Gifted yet. Granted, I am running another class pack, plus LW2, alongside this, but Gifteds seem to be pretty uncommon.

For LW2, to use Heavy Weapons in EXO or WAR suits you must add this line to the XComClassData.ini for each of the three current classes:

+AllowedWeapons=(SlotType=eInvSlot_HeavyWeapon, WeaponType="heavy")

you cant train Rookies but use this MOD with the use my class MOD youcan create a character pool rookie in one of the three classes. i think that gives some measure of control the only thin is the rookie you make won be gauranteed to be there at the start. Thanks @Alterd-Rushnanohave been needing a mod like this for one of my pooled character instead of waiting for psi chamber to be researched

Go to the mod's XComClassData.ini, and change each class' NumInForcedDeck value to 1.

So, let me get this straight:
-Psi Rookies can be "rolled" (or recuited, however you want to call it; the mechanic that randomly decides a Rookie's class) just like any other class
-Train and level up like just like the average XCOM soldier
-CANNOT be selected via GTS

Did I get that right?

@Alterd-Rushnano What do i need to modify in 'Xcomclassdata.ini' in this MOD to make these classes not appear RANDOMLY but as a trainable soldier? I use commander's choice and would like them to be chooseable. (Still dont like the Psi rework LW2 did.)

Unless you modify the 'Xcomclassdata.ini' in this MOD, these classes will only appear RANDOMLY. This was the last thing I could do to keep Psi Ops's balance....

Especially
LW2! If you can train this class the way you want it, then the LW2 balance is fundamental and terrible! (No one will want a Psi operator!)

lol sorry I still don't get it? Is it random? So Far I know NOT to Use Psilab/GTS. I have tried to bring a rookie and auto level them and it didn't work. Do I need both mods? I'm NOT useing Commander Mod. I have also tried lvlupbarracks/debug, didn't work either. Soooo I'm slow and sorry but what is the process? Do I need to start a fresh game? Thankyou

-Can NOT be trained at guerilla school and psi lab(Remember, They are Innate-psychic!)

This means that even if you subscribe to the 'Commander's Choice' MOD - it is impossible to intentionally select this Class. (You are the Xcom Commander, not the Elder!)

Great mod! I really dislike the way psi soldiers are trained in vanilla game without ever needing to go on a mission, and God knows when I'll get to proper psi training in LW2, so it's nice to use and level up psi abilities right from the start of the game.

On the side note, it would be nice if those soldiers would be able to use offensive psi-PCS in LW2 (currently only proper psi soldiers are allowed to use them I believe).

Is there a way to edit the files to make them be able to be trained/treated just like another class? I really love this class and I want certain soldiers to be this class and not randomized.

Interesting mod. I think that having soulfire so early on is a little too good to be true, but overall the balancing looks pretty reasonable.

PSI stats is only show in PSI Operative. Its unseen in any Mod PSI class.

However when you use Insanity, which is the only PSI skill use PSI power as accuracy,you will get how many PSI power your PSI soldiers get. The MindMerge and SoulMerge are another PSI power base skills from LWPP. The more PSI is, the more shield you get. It seems that PSI power is less important than upgrade PSI AMP. Most PSI skills performance base on PSI AMP tier, except Insanity and MindMerge.

Therefore Hacking bunus item would not improve PSI stats and PSI skills.

They are good as-is, don't need nerfing or buffing. Thanks for the heads-up that their psi abilities scale with their hack stat.

If anyone wants them weaker or stronger then just edit the ini files to your liking. They are a very fun class imo. Great job

Suggestion: Tune the aim of the Psi units to either be the same/less than the base units/LW units. Your machine gunner psi had more aim than the LW gunner for example in the first to ranks (I'v eonly gotten them that far). So far my only complaint :) well, and that they seem to have the same weight for being chosen when Rookies rank up. Is there a way to tune those weights so they are slightly less common than the LW classes?

Very interesting. I am thinking about combining your mod with this one to replace vanilla Psi Troopers with them while still keeping Shadow Ops or Paragon for my normal soldiers. Worth a try!

One question: Does "The psi stat is currently not shown in the armory but its there and scales the same as their's hack Stats. (Consider your skull jack)" mean that using a Skulljack on a Gifted will make it better at using psi abilities?

@d.yeda out of my 7 psi rookies, I have 4 sniper rifle based, 2 canon based, 1 rifle based. I haven't leveled much yet since I'm playing the large roaster style (thus the 7 psi rookies in that roaster). So for the moment all I can say is it works fine.

No, They are just unseen, but the soldier's Psi stat is properly changed to 50, when you changed their class with Commander's Choice. I checked with Cheat Engine.

커맨더's 초이스 모드나, 캐릭터풀 만들때 구분이 잘 안되는데, 각성자(저격병), 각성자(기관총병), 각성자(돌격병) 이런식으로 뒤에 어떤 병과 기반인지 붙이는게 좋을 것 같습니다.

Strictly speaking, Gifted are three independent classes with many common psi skill.


Just as Rangers, Gunner and Sharpshooters do - their weapons are fixed from the first promotion. :-D

So I am a bit confused by the third tree. It changes based on weapon? What if we change weapons for a different mission? Does the tree update each time a weapon is chosen, meaning we could choose the skill for a rifle at one level, then put a cannon on them for another level and choose a skill made for a cannon?

음, 아사리 종족 모드 때문에 Partially Gifted 를 깔고 했었는데, 아사리는 오히려 이 모드클레스로 놓고, Partially Gifted 는 지우던가 일반병 중에 AWC 스킬 구리게 나온 애 한테나 써줘야 겠네요.

Thanks for your work Alterd-Rushnano. I don`t know Mind Merge & Bastion are in XCOM2 aleardy. Mind Merge is very usefull for a exposed teammater, Bastion save your team when on fire. Never seen a enemy use them before.
