Dunno about mid or late game but i quit playing with this skill tree after a few floors since it is so overpowerd which makes playing booring, dosnt feel like a survival anymore even on rogue difficulty.
Its a Duck Right
Yep! In my very quick-and-dirty testing, the sight debuff made a HUGE difference. I found a boss monster that there was no way I should have been able to beat (given that I just debug L'd once and p'd down the floors, thus I had no equipment) and the lasers were doing probably 2-5% of its hp per, but I hit it with the sight debuff first. It wandered around in circles trying to find me, unable to figure out what direction it was supposed to go. This gave me the time to unload the many, many lasers I shot it with.
As for the mana-upping... Ehh. It doesn't seem that major to me. The mana returns I was getting were along the lines of "3-10" which could've been explained by regular mana regen, even. I haven't extensively tested this, though (I make sure it all works as I expect it to and check low-and-high ends of scaling to see if it's massively over/underpowered) and there might be tricks getting stuff on the order of "a lot"?
Just want to ask you if the laser debuff's mechanics are intentional. When it is lifted, you can end up with more mana than you had before as your max mana rises back up.
I dont even have time to play all chars, start too many , never get anywhere heh.
But i do love your sets. Keep em coming. Looking forward to a mage set from you. (Hint, Hint)
Ha! Deaf knight was built around recasting short buffs as its play style. This is more beam-spam style stuff.
They are definitely different skills, though I guess if you're just screwing about early it'd be hard to tell. LAZIK debuffs the target's sight, so you can use it on a far-away but tough target to keep them confused as to where you are. 'Lazor' is more directly damage and leaves that fire mine around for further harassment. Don't give up yet - you're about to get the actual beam lasors!
Wast just testing this skill test really, only tested to third skill since i havent decided on a theme yet for this. But i cant really distinguish the effect of lasik and lazor. At least early both are very much a kill button :D Have you considered making a a completly different power? like a self vision/trap vision buff instead for lasik?
Anyway, i really love your sets, they are very thematic and usually quite well balanced. (And appropriatly silly).
Hope you make a more wizardy set sometime, without so many cooldown skills. Some of your sets have nice but short buffs that requires ALOT of recasting (like deaf knight).
But all in all, great skillsets. Just have to figure out so many themes now. (I always do theme characters).
Are you sure this isn't just an effect of the -mana debuff "hiding" the mana pool? Still, I slightly tweaked the debuff and 30-second testing didn't seem to reproduce the result, so I uploaded again.
P.S. I'm impressed that you got in there before I managed to go with the real text! Have a kudos.
