The fasces has been wholeheartedly adopted by the existing democratic government of the US, it would make perfect sense for a fascist successor state to use it. Right now there are two massive ones flanking the American Flag in the Capitol Building, a pair (minus the axe blades) on the Lincoln Memorial, a pair on the official seal of the United States Senate, and so on.

It takes a while to realise that these are just flags, so they don't need updates.

The Facses are not particulary unamerican. Many diffrent governmental seals include fasces

Fasces are used in the United States, just not in vexilology. If you look at the chamber of congress, you'll see fasces everywhere, most prominently behind the speaker of the house or the President during the State of the Union.
