AI Core Carriers

Personally, I'm fine with cores being somewhat renewable, especially if it takes work to do (because game balancing).
We'll bang, OK? 6 Feb @ 3:53am
Any way to make it not a single skelet, but a small squad? 3-5 weaker 'helpers' and a squad leader with core.

Muchas gracias gran mod

i will now enslave the strongest skeletons
AccursedAlarm 5 Jan, 2019 @ 1:41pm
I cant seem to find them in the flood lands 😓

Great mod, hell I think reducing them to 80 combat skills from this mod and just removing the AI cores from the scrapyard would be an improvement to the current situation both lorewise and gameplaywise

Nevermind, can confirm it's still working on experimental. Just rare. Proceeded to get my ass kicked as well, along with 6 mercs I hired so there's that...
Eudae 4 May, 2018 @ 11:02pm
@Lexa's, bit late but I also have not found any on the most recent experimental branch. Although, maybe they're just rare? Wish I knew, I only came across about 10 spiders and 2 normal skeletons.

i'm not finding any

Its been a really really long time since I've looked at the mod, so I'm not certain, but I think I gave them their own faction so they'd be neutral to everything
Innocuous 10 Jan, 2018 @ 7:57pm
Are these guys still tied to the Skeleton faction?

buckt5ooth stop pushing your ideas into other mods and make your own, thier is definatley something wrong with the code around AI cores as the only ones i have found after 500 days where in worlds end and i had to steal them to get them , every other safe the same as wrold ends has not produced AI cores.
i dont mind it being hard but for some one who in real life dsoent liek theft to force to steal from alllies is not a good thing, I am not american thier fore do not like stealing from allies

That's a very good point! I like your mod, as it is, it's fantastic--don't get me wrong.

It's good enough, as it is. It's just that it's also good enough to inspire some serious creative thought about how far your ideas could be taken.

I hope you don't mind that? It's meant respectfully, and I certainly don't want to detract,
in any way, from what you've already done here.
Waladil  [author] 19 Jan, 2017 @ 1:15pm
Frankly, PNut, all that is well outside the scope of the mod. I made it purely to patch over a bug in the vanilla code, it took me only about an hour, and what you're suggesting is a multi-day major project.

If it's possible to trade with them, then maybe the Carriers are actually still able to make AI-cores, and they're keeping the secret of their construction safely hidden from everyone else, in order to prevent wars and other technological disasters.

Just a thought, but maybe this Faction could be led by a single individual "Super-Skeleton" or whatever. Something truly mighty, but if you managed to defeat it--which ought to be beyond-EPIC--then it would drop an AI-Core blueprint. At the same time, all other factions would instantly become extremely hostile to you, regardless of your former relation with them.

I'm not sure if all that is actually possible to mod?...but, it could be so cool, if you were to turn these guys into something with some heavy and compelling story-points, behind them?

Thanks for everything!

The AI-Carriers themselves seem like they could make for very cool "Boss-Monster"-types. I think I'd make them into something Leviathan-sized/Leviathan-like--only significantly tougher--and, give them some tough, well-equipped, well-trained elite Skelly bodyguards, as well.

I'd probably keep their number of bodyguards small, but I also think it would make sense that the AI-Carriers would gather some Skelly followers to them.

Attacking one of these groups should make for a difficult fight, in my opinion--even late in the game--but, if you got on their good side, might they become trading-partners? And, if they did, might that then cause some other powerful Factions to become hostile to you?

I'd love to see these as a tiny-but-powerful (if perceived as being mythical), Faction. One that would still be very rare to encounter members of--although, obviously, one that was still present on every world. I like the idea of them being nomadic, wandering Skelly "monk-aesthetics", that remain on the move, to avoid allowing their technology to fall into the wrong hands.

Even--or especially--if the only option is to fight them, then I'd still rather it be an EPIC fight. There might not be very many of them around, but the few who are, are likely to be some of the oldest, toughest, smartest individuals, on the whole planet, after all.

(I saw that there's a mod that allows up to 50 squads, and 250 total individuals, and it would be nice if there were things out there that could actually challenge such a huge group!)

I like this idea, and I hope that you'll continue to expand on it? I think these guys could make for an extremely interesting Faction, as some of the very few extremely-high-technology groups around.

Personally, I'd prefer if they were even tougher, and better-organized, as groups? But, with more options for obtaining the AI cores from them, than just fighting with them. Stealing, of course, could be an option--although, it should be damned hard...

Maybe there could be quests, that you could perform for them, in exchange for AI cores, or at least the right to trade for them? Or, possibly some kind of "Shrine of Technology" building that you could construct, that would allow you to trade with them?

is still still okay?
Waladil  [author] 13 Nov, 2016 @ 7:45pm
@Ashycre, it was made in 0.94.2, should be compatible for the forseeable future -- Kenshi's modding stuff is actually really stable. It'll probably require some editing for balance when the skeletons are a more real faction, with actual cities instead of a few wandering characters, but by then it may be extraneous anyway with official methods to gather AI cores.
Ashycre 13 Nov, 2016 @ 7:30pm
Will this work with the experimental version?
Slavic Hors 11 Nov, 2016 @ 12:17pm
Nice? Yes. IMMERSIVE? AF! workalot moder-san :steamhappy:
iokimg 8 Nov, 2016 @ 2:57am
Have you considered changing their faction? Now sure I want to lower my Skeleton rep right now. Of course, it does make for an interesting choice.
Doomsday2233 7 Nov, 2016 @ 6:57pm
nice mod
