I see comments on stopping the front 2 from swapping. Can I ask how do you stop them from doing that?

FM17 best tactics goes to this. But swap striker isnt a good thing, and i replace target man (which is not effective) to false nine (okay its stupid, but its works well!)

Best tactics of all! I won the Bundesliga in the first year with Eintracht Frankfurt, scored 80 Goals and Sebastien Haller became 2nd best Scorer with 28 Goals. After Chelsea bought Jetro Willems for 27mio. I now do have a big problem. The tactic relies so much on strong CBs.

Of all the tactics I have used on FM17, this is by far the most successfull. I would recomend changing to - Counter/Direct/Higher tempo/run at defence - when away from home, especially when going 1-0 down.

Why are both FBs set to attack on the picture, but the LB is set to support in the actual tactic?

Couldn't get this tactic to work consistently at all, until I stopped the front 2 swapping positions. Now I'm hoovering up the points. :D

@goldknight Usually a strong defender isnt fast and vice versa. This was chosen to make it harder to mark the two strikers if they other team choses a very deep defensive line which is the formations weakness. You can ofcourse turn it off but that was the reasoning behind the decision.

During the video i hear many many, too many times, things like, this is good tactic, i did this, i did that, but about explanations... rly few...

Thanks mate for your tactic..im still getting back into fm after 10+ years away..tactically ive found it very difficult and restarted 5 times now..want to take peterborough to the big time..anway 2nd season i did good but missed out on play offs using this..but my players werent up to scratch..so fingers crossed for season 3..recently watched alot of your youtube vids..your a fm god..fm never used to be this hard did it??..cheers anyway bud

i tried this with Boston United and got good results. Promoted in our first season with using this tactics and won the FF Cup. In upper league, it's not that easy but still got good results. My team always have a good possesion and so many shots. But usually it swaps the two strikers position. I don't know why and it always ruins my team's motivation. Any way to fix it ?

really good tactic havent found a better one. even working well on my swedish team, im beating good teams playing in champions league/europa league

fantastic tactic my friend this has transformend my season after using countless 4-2-3-1 tactics in which i have now removed as this is better than anything ive seen before , just one questain with the target man and poacher interchanging throughout the game would it affect the tactic if i removed this interchange ? its just at southhampton i really like to play a front pair of redmond as poacher and felliani as my target man which works untill they change . many thanks in advance and keep up your great work

This is the bomb. 8-1, 5-1 you own possession and score goals galore even when only half familiar. Well done.

I love this tactic! The instructions also work really well for a 4-1-2-2-1 In tight with a DLP as you DM. And it also works as a 4-3-2-1 Xmas tree formation with a shadow striker and attacking mid behind a target man support. Ive got two stright promotions with Pompy and my front 3 players in League one have all scored 25 goals. I have Conor Chaplin, Callum Gribbin and Hambo

Hands down the best tactic i've been using.
8 Years with Anderlecht got me 21 Trophies with 2 CL wins.

amazing with chelsea (19/20 season), won league/champions league. went undefeated on the league with 100 points final. most goals/least conceded/most possession stats.

Is there a reason why the two strikers swap positions?

Works in lower leagues too. Took Barrow to 2nd in first season exceeding all expectations. In Play offs as we speak. Unlike some tactics, it is possible to find lower league players to fill these positions more or less. Hardest ones to fill are CB and BPD. Got most goals in league and highest passing and possesion.

New to FM17. Quick question. In the notes it mentions creativity being a key rating for some of the CMs. Where exactly do I find that? Initially I thought maybe it was flair but, noticed the APA has both Flair and Creativity listed. Thanks and great tactic.

Well, great tactic, for my feyenoord team it really worked well.

Great tactic so far, had problems with the TM not scoring many though, and had some issues against teams with wingers or inside forward, countered this a bit by setting both full backs to defend, attacking mid to support and used a trequarista and paired it up with a defensive forward or complete forward upfront with a direct playing style, balanced width, dribbles less often and take the works ball into box off, really good tactic though, appreciated Reckonist, thanks.

whats the best way to seee out a game when your 1-0up with this tactic?

Starting to see results when I use this against certain formations, but seeing so many fouls,yellows and red cards which brings me weekly fines for not controlling my players - not sustainable at lower league. Any suggestions to reigning this in?

Trying this with bromley in the national league, shipping 5 goals a game via simple balls over the top :( lucky to score one goal every few games

Awesome tactic! Finished 7th with Sunderland in my first season and qualified for the EL, Anichebe and Defoe both comfortably in double figures for goals, Van Aanholt best average rating in league, Januzaj and Manquillo 2nd and 3rd on assists table. Cheers!

Great tactic used it as Liverpool and won the league 2 seasons plus CL. I also used with Lincoln and after 2 seasons find myself in League 1 after winning the vanarama league and runner up in League 2.
