I've never played Void wanderers, but to my knowledge there is alot of messy Lua involved. Which im not good at. I'm pretty sure i tried with once, but failed miserably so i dont think it will happen. Sorry for that :/

Ahh thats normal then. I would like to help you fix it but i cant really. Nothing to do about it. Its an old game so im not really surprised that this happens. :dummy:

Yes, once I stop flying it calms down and goes back to normal, along with not causing lag with further use of the same actors wings. If I swap to another myskan though, it happens on the first press of the jump key (wing flapping). It's very strange indeed.

Its funny because their wings dont emit particles that stay around. They dissapear, Does it happen just at the moment you use them and get faster once you dont? Because that would be understandable.
Every particle is visible that the myskan wings release. And they have really really low lifetime so they get removed quickly.
Keep in mind that the game gets slower the longer you are ingame and the more things they send at you. :cortex::ccgold:

It happens when everything is settled, it seemed like it's showing more particles than are actually visible or something, it's really strange.

Thank you! Both of you! The wings creates quite a few particles when used, and considering how CC handles each and every single particle the game tends to slow down when it needs to keep track of all moving particles.
But are you referring to debris that has been turned into terrain or debris that just havent settled yet?
I could understand it if they hadnt settled for some reason that you are getting lag. But not if they settled already. :cortex::ccgold:

This mod is really awesome, but for some reason once there's lots of actors and debris everywhere in scenes like base defense, the wings seem to cause a massive fps drop. It happens with both of the actor units wings for me.

yeah, the main reason it seems balanced to me is the fact that the weaponry and guys are very expensive. Most mods guys are as cheap as dummys and 2x as strong as browncoats. There is one request I have. do you think you could make a stationary hive-mind type thing? I think that would be pretty cool with the wasp-bug type theme.

Thank you! They are probably stronger than base tech, but consider that they are alien weaponry, i would say they are a bit stronger, but lacks when shooting from longer distances. I like to put much work in my mods cause i love cc and i want to release quality stuff.

Yeah, i'll keep trying. Nice mod by the way, i haven't gotten much time to balance test it againts the base techs, but it apears you put a lot of work into this aspect. balancing is something much of the CC modding comumity lacks, i'm glad someones trying.

Haha cool, yeah just keep modding and that will dissapear, youll learn to double check everything before to boot up the game. But forgetting is human so i dont see an issue if you miss something and it reminds you on bootup.

RandomCoderZ, I learned the same way, it does seem that if I had a person that knew the coading well I could've learned sooner. The hard part for me is that no matter how careful you are, there always seems to be an error lol.

What i did when i first started modding was that i just went into core code and changed some small things then loaded up the game to see what it did. I guess you learn everything more thoroughly but its a slow method.

What i found though on the forums was a simple guide mady by Crowguard, on how folders and stuff works, i guess you can follow it as a start. And if you have further questions you can just add me and ask me whatever and I'll help you.

oh youre absolutely welcome, i do love the mod but realized it was sort of like the type i couldnt initiate as a player/Ai but rather a resource pool to control the tide, like i dont know what mod made the constructor tool but half of the factions adapted it and it broke my game like the Ai will burrow underground and just set up block walls and its maddening as fuck.


this mod however doesnt lag or break the game, would be cool to see a gatling type weapon just in case i missed it, or like a weapon that fires a plasma bullet that burrows through walls/ground and then creates a small perfect unit sized hole that can help combat mods that try to create impossible to break through walls/blocks


but if i ever get into scripting and modding ill make my own unique faction both balanced and powerful

Having Human AI on tall characters as Myskoplex probably makes the Lua obsolete for their race.
Well I'm going to assume youre talking about the Myskan Cyborgs, yeah they do have strong hull, But they cost. Buy a dummy Blaster and it will shred a Myskan Cyborg pretty good.

This mod is supposed to be out of "This World". Its meant to be exotic and unusual from another world with different standards, just having to think outside the box when I made this mod was really fun. It was never intended to have loadouts or being able to fought as an AI opponent.
And the only reason it has this is because people requested it. I did my best to convert Myskoplex to work.
I was expecting people to note/dislike/mention their height, strenghts, inability to walk bunkers, strong guns, and other stuff that differed them from normal actors.
I havent worked much with loadouts or altering AI on my mods before.

hey i tested your mod and found a few things

for starters the enemy Ai will sometimes not attack and also just stand there instead of moving

also another note is that they are unbelievably broken, like good luck killing them without the need for bombs or a digger, their bodies dont seem to lose anything but pixels of blood and it is extremely annoying that at full AI they are worse than anything ive ever fought, they dont seek my brain unit either which sucks, other AI kick their ass at much lower rates of AI which is a problem, only thing to note on qualities of goodness is the flux digger tool, thats about it besides the other weapons which honestly are oversized to use

Thanks for liking my mod ^^. Making them shorter would remove their "Myskan" feeling. I am however working on a few bunker modules that fits their height, they are far from done though and progress is slow due to how everything is stressed in my life atm.

Yes i can understand you want that, somehow i feel like their lore makes them less weapon focused. Also i feel like im having a hard time finding out what kind of new weapons i should make for them that actually fit their race. Maybe ill try something, its not my lore so its hard to make stuff when needed to have that in mind all the time. I can try to find something but i cant really guarantee a gun that isnt alike the other guns.

When making stuff on my EXTREME mod i can just go wild because their concept is mine from the beginning. But Myskoplex is another story.

I would love to see you make more Weapons and Units (Actors) for this mod, it would be awesome
