weird, this cargo station somehow doesn't have any cargo train traffic anymore since FD update.

Hey Avanya, I actually found the problem, Obviously not your mod at fault!!!! The Load Order Tool mod has some issues, one of which is that an asset can show up as included in LOD, buit in the in-game Content Manager the asset isn´t highlighted. Thanks for your reply! Love all your content!

@redwazza: Try unsubscribing it, wait for Steam to remove the file from your PC, then subscribe to it again. Hopefully a fresh download of it should do the trick.

Hey Avanya, been using this asset since like forever, but as of this last week or so, it doesn´t load into my game. The other one (782851663) does. Any ideas??? It is in the Load order Tool, Included, but neither I nor Find It can find it in game. Actually, all of the others are in game. UPS, FedEX, DHL etc.... Any Ideas? oh, and it doesnt appear in the LSM as un used, failed, missing etc...

@oli, Building Spawn Points does not work with cargo trucks at cargo stations/terminals/hubs of any mode (air, rail, or otherwise). I think that is something that mod creator is/was working on, but as of now, it is not yet a thing.

I wanted to move the span point with the Building Spawn Point Mod. But the cargo trucks are missing in the vehicles type list

Algernon, the author of RICO Revisited, helped me get this fixed. The problem had to do with the local RICO settings...

I have also tried now resetting the object using Move It! (did not work) and comparing this asset to the mirrored one in Asset Editor to see if there were any differences between the two that had occurred recently (I found no differences)...Sort of at a loss with what to try next...Any ideas?

Of note, I also tried unsubbing and resubbing the asset. And I bulldozed and rebuilt it after doing so...Did not fix the problem...

So, I encountered a weird interaction between this particular asset and RICO Revisited that very likely was user error. Correcting that error, though, is where I am in need of assistance...Somehow, after this asset spent a bunch of time operating precisely as expected, I ended up with a local RICO setting that made it a residential building and no longer a cargo train terminal. I noticed this when I exported the map in CSL Map View. So, I went back in and removed the local setting, but now, instead of reverting back to a cargo station, it is a level 3 generic industry building with no RICO settings applied, and there appears to be no RICO setting to make it a Transport building...Any ideas how I fix this?

Hi Avanya, thanks for the reply. Loading Screen Mod setting was the trick. :-) I didn't know it had such an effect. I see this now, as well as many other assets that I subscribed and forgot over the years. Thanks!

@gergefil: Nope, no mods or DLCs needed for this one. Make sure it's enabled in the Content Manager, and if you're using the Loading Screen Mod make sure it isn't set to only load assets used in your city.

Hi, I have Industries DLC (but not RICO). I don't see this asset neither as a train station nor as a warehouse in the game, even though the asset is enabled. Do I need RICO for this? Where do I find this in the game menu?

I only wanted to point out my experiences and was hoping to get any new pointers, as you have done. Thanks for that. To add to this, rest assured, experiences help me learn regardless how much time I put into the game. Time means nothing without experience. I appreciate everyone's helpful input as I hope mine is.

despawning trains is default vanilla behaviour. nothing to do with this asset.
the explanation is extremely easy: train comes in, trucks spawn to deliver stuff.
then trucks can go into the station for 2 reasons: 1) they are empty returning vehicles 2) they are full trucks with goods that need to be transported.
so, when a train comes IN, if full trucks are delivering goods to the station at the same time, that train will be filled and then leave. if no goods are being delivered to the station, the train will despawn.

this is default normal behaviour for all vehicles in the game.

not knowing this is why i suggest every new player to put at least 20-50h. into the game WITHOUT MODS before starting to use mods. please first learn how the game actually works before installing mods and then complaining it's the mod when something doesn't work like you expect, when in fact it's default vanilla game behaviour.

@bsbrdv: Whether a train despawns or goes back out isn't related to the station. That happens with the default one too. I can't remember which trains despawn and which ones go back out, but I've seen both in the unmodded game.

Making the track longer with Move It something you should always be careful about. There's a max length (I can't remember what it is off the top of my head), but anything longer than that and the tracks just break. Broken tracks would see no trains arriving though, so if you're still having them show up, but simply despawning, then that's unlikely to have anything to do with the station.

Avanya, I like this Distribution Center Cargo Station BUT (sorry, but I bet you I knew I was going to follow with that) when I first placed it, I placed the track next to the building as was expected. The first few trains came in but then disappeared. Then a few came in and backed out as I had expected them to, as I am sure you did. But it became intermittent, some disappearing, some working normally. I figured the approaching track might be too short, so I redid everything while making the approach a train length longer. Now none of the trains work normally. I have no problem in redoing things again and trying different things, but aside from trying Move It! are there any other suggestions?

@badnews0071: The trucks that drive in and out are whatever is going around your city. There is no way for me to control that, nor a way to set what trucks can spawn from the warehouse.

Would making or changing trucks into lift trucks for warehousing work ? They do drive in and out. I'm trying to zone for forestry never had the problem, the group cloud ( with tax /bans etc.) doesn't appear??

Definitely just start small with the workshop. It's easy to overdo it and end up with more than your computer can handle or be overwhelmed with too much stuff.

Very nice work, always wanted to try my hand at building mods...being a receiving inventory specialist for nearly 36 years I've seen hundreds of industrial motorized equipment. The latest being AV's Automated vechicle's...robots that take jobs :( Anyway just a note where to begin ;knowing to start in workshop already ...would help) if you'ld like some kind of pay or gift haven't done this communicating on gaming platforms before....thanks JJ

@dominic.hoffmann84: They work exactly like the default cargo train station. The only difference is the building looks different and the tracks are rotated 90 degrees. So you can set up two and connect them or connect them to the tracks on the map to connect them to the outside world for import/export. :)

Czardus has a nice tutorial for cargo rail if you are unsure of how to set up an efficient network in your city. :)

@Fabianz: They should drive into it like in the video. If you use MoveIt on the building, you likely break the invisible paths inside the building, which would cause weird behaviours.

this is one of my favourite assets ever, I use it in all my cities...

now I am looking to find something like this, but that has an actual functional warehouse aswell.

As a workaround i did delete the tracks with moveit and then draw a non-catanery track over it. Havent tested yet if the station still works.

But one thing that drives me nuts is that it does not draw the steel structure of the catanery - the cable is free-hanging in my game :-(

any chance you do something like this but with underground train tracks? im disgusted of how much space train tracks ocupy in the surface and disrupt the city design, so im trying to make all my important infraestructure underground
