Hey Mr. Pink. Oh geez, I somehow completely forgot to add Research to these blocks. Yeah, I need to go through and tie all of these blocks into the vanilla research, so they unlock at the appropriate times. Thanks for reminding me. I'll try to double-check to see that all variants are making it into the research too.

since in survival mode the research is done tru quests now i think you might have to make us a little quest to unlock those missing parts variants...

it's working fine in creative mode, but once in survival something is wrong with the research. its somehow unlocked but i don't see the schematic in the research table

thx bro, in the game's forum bug's section a dev explained the problem. They apparently forgot to add certain pieces in the research and it's causing certain parts to not be available. It should be fixed next update.

I'm starting to think that is not your mod but the game acting up... I can't sroll trough certain pieces variant for some reason... some of those parts are stock vanilla to so it can't be your mod.

Hey man, great mod! I was trying to close the sides with stoneslope lowpitch and i could only close it halfway. Seems like we'd need a left and right version. Is it a bug or something you're working on?

Hey @Slye_Fox, absolutely. It's on the list and mostly ready. I just have to go in and change all the components to use the new tile system instead of the old large stones. Sometime this week it will be ready.

I hear ya. Hopefully it won't be as drastic as when they went from the flat world to the planet.
Honestly, I think the biggest thing I want for 0.6 is for them to do something about that awful color overlay when occasionally placing blocks (ownership area?)

Hey TheBoot, interesting. Thanks for the details on these glitches. I have been meaning to take a slow & long look through all the files anyway, so these will be at the top of the list to check & fix if I can. Hopefully within the next couple of weeks -- depending on the craziness that happens when version 0.6 of the game comes out! :)

Hi.
I was trying to roof a building and came across a couple issues.
1. I usually put wood floor blocks on top of the walls to create a ceiling. The corner and inverted corner roof tiles will not compound with the floor blocks. The regular slope tile will however.
2. When I was finished with the perimeter I wanted to use the roof cap to finish it off but it would not merge with the other roof blocks until I placed some wood floor blocks beneath it.

Excellent mod; this will be included in any of my future worlds. Of course like with most block mods the placement seems to be a little off/wonky. Most wall pieces like the shallow slope or peak can be placed 'inside' walls and don't want to snap to the top part of the wall without placing a foundation or stacking two of mod blocks on top of each other. Otherwise the generation of roofs, integrations with wooden galleries, almost perfect match with vanilla blocks, and fact that it doesn't corrupt or cause any performance issues is all very impressive. I definetly suggest adding this mod if you looking to extremely extend your creative freedom with whatever you build. (Add with Wooden Galleries to get the full experience) *THUMBS UP*

How strange... i tried it now, im on a different map, and it worked there. tried on the old one, and it didnt work there. so the issue was on my end. sorry to have bothered you! :cootcoot:

Thanks for this, CHIKUN. I'm trying to understand the problem. I have made two sets of roofs for all the roofing, both high and low, so that roofs will fit on halfwalls as well as full walls. Can you take a screenshot of what you are trying to do, and show me what isn't working? If it's something I can fix, I will do my best!

Excellent mod. one problem though, the half-tall walls wont have the roof to it, it hovers above. can this be sorted out?

Hi Pescatore. The mod now requires Research to unlock it. Research is finally working! At the Research table, look for "Low-Pitched Roof" research. It requires two schematics (Masonry and Wooden Defences) to unlock.

Hi,

there is a bug. In the crafting menu all items of the mod are disappeared. Only the category text on the left side is shown in the menu. The items, which i have attached to my buildings are still there. But crafting is not longer possible.

Hey R3v. I'm finally working hard again on this mod. I'm doing it in a couple waves -- first I'm cleaning up collision boxes and adding lots of new rooftops for the 0.5 version and up. But I'm saving all the old info so I can fix up a 0.4 version for you and others who want to keep it. I may just make that a zip file and put it up on Dropbox instead of the workshop, not sure what makes the most sense. But look for it in the next couple of weeks.

Hey man I know this might be out of place but the latest update broke the mod for the legacy version of the game, I know this is not a priority by any means but could you at least consider releasing an older version for the few poor folk who still play vanilla?

I'm still seeing parts that can't be completed due to still using old components. For example, the Low Pitch center section only lists wooden sticks as a component and can only be completed to 66% due to this problem. I tried unsubscribing and resubbing to see if that fixed the issue but no go.

I hope so. It would make sense for many modded parts to be tied to the vanilla "tree" (hope it will become a real tech tree some day ... not an unsorted list like it is now)

Unlockable from beginning due to a Keen bug, which I have noted in the Description text for a few months. We can't add specialized Research to pre-existing Research trees. Keen knows about it and will hopefully fix it in an upcoming patch.

Recipe is not learned (no star) even after leaving and reentering the research table.
But also not craft able (no progress)

Found another bug ... Finally played it in survival, Crafted the recipe in researcgh table. The first time I got an invisible recipe I couldn't use (disappeared but didn't unlock), after that I can't even craft it anymore. (have a screeny, but too lazy to upload it and link it here)

Yeah, I agree it would be nice to be able to do that. I wish it had been easier to make the "thickness" of the roof pieces stay the same when I reduced the angle. I know better now how to "stretch" pieces, but I think it may still have to be done manually for each model. That would be a total of 176 pieces to change -- all the main roofs low & high versions, tile & wood, plus all of the generated pieces too -- the stuff that pops up around the edges when you place a roof. Plus resetting all of the collision models. I can't put in that kind of time at the moment, but I do want to come back to this mod at some point and clean it up some. Maybe that would be a good thing to do then.

No, I just installed a bunch of mods ... and got some errors from many of them ...
The popup of the error log however was cause by another (an outdated) mod that caused a critical error. (though didn't load so it actually didn't touched yours)

The error messages came up at startup of the game.

Anyway ... There is something I miss. And that is a way to combine your mod roof and the vanilla ones, but not only the mixed blocks are missing, but also your roofs are thinner makes them where they collide look stupid:

Why I want that?
There are roofs (which look good) which have on one side steep angle and on the other a shallow

Other roofs have bend in middle start steep and then get shallow ... but if the thickness of the roof changes ... it all look stupid.
