Does anyone know if there is a version of this mod that can be used with the new version of skyrim? I recently redownloaded the game and would like to have something like this.

This looks really good honestly but its just too big, overwhelming. JUst need enough shelves for each unique item and maybe each common item because the armory and archives especially are just way too big that instead of collecting the 500 books or so you'd need much more to fill it and the armoury doesnt need three wings its big enough with one. some sword and shield racks like above the beds in hoses would look cool too. still looks fantastic so keep it up.

If you cant find the marker on map just load the game exit the game delete this workshop add this workshop and load your safe, it should work it worked for me

There should be a map marker, but, if you follow the road north from Whiterun on your way to Riften, you should see it. Its right next to the Troll cave and just below one of the Stones (can't remember which one it is).

To me this is one of the best player home mods available for vanila Skyrim. I really enjoy the role of Museum Curator, and explore to find the rare and less rare object in Skyrim.

A few minor tweaks would make it really perfect. Falling through the stairs when going outside. A few extra beds for the working staff. The interor is concidered as "dungeon" and so the mod extension "Climates of Tamriel, dungeon hazardous" make the interior dark and dull. Disabling this mod extension makes a huge difference in atmosphere. And a big "drop-all" chest near the entrance would be pratical (combined with the auto-sort mod). (Fake) visitors would be cool.

I wish there were display stands for dragon claws. Every single dragon claw display mod requires dlc, despite both dragon claws and palyer homes being in vanilla skyrim.

one of the preist mask displays is glitched. the ninth mask from the base set will not display. could we get a patched to fix this please

I personally never listed this mod on the Nexus, so I'm not sure why it would be there. I have no problem sharing as long as people acknowledge the source.

Fair enough! Is your mod perhaps listed on Nexus, as there are ways to integrate it from there. I just fell madly in love with this one. It's such a gorgeous mod, none of the others come remotely close. Thank you for responding.

I have not played this game for almost 4 years now and I don't plan on getting the special edition. if any updates are needed to make it work with special edition then I would be happy to let someone else make such revisions, assuming anyone felt like doing so.

This is by far the best mod out there for hoarders like me. I tried quite a few others, but none come close to this home/museum. Its the overall ambiance with the beautifull displays, verry good layout of the rooms and the quality of the details that make me want to roam around this place every time I visit. Only little bug is that my mannequins often seem to float in midair.

I know you said it got fixed in an earlier update, but for some reason my armor isn't showing up on my mannequins. The only fix I know of is to put the armor back on the mannequin and it'll show, but I really don't want to do that to an entire room. Is there a fix for this?

I have had only one problem/bug with this mod and that is when i try to put a weapo in one of the display cases it is sitting in midair and unless its a dagger flys everywhere if i close the case(and yes it is floating in midair as i put it there), I tested with all types of weapons that could fit, vanilla and moded, please tell me whats wrong the only mods i had on when testing were different weapons mods and the DLCs

I wanted to warn everyone of a recent disaster I had with this mod. DO NOT use the dragon priest mask display in the vault. !!! I put 4 masks on display and when I removed them from the display to return them to my inventory, they disappeared. Now it tells me I do not have item to put back on display. Just FYI.

Funny thing, I just started my fourth playthrough this weekend and realized the Museum has been my "home" since I started this back in April. I keep trying others but this place is just right. Thanks again for making this place happen. PS - lighting is fine on mine. Only issue I've had was back in playthrough #2 one of the chests in the armory went evil and caused CTD's when I clicked on it. Bypassed it for the rest of the playthrough. Refreshed itself on the third playthrough. Reason? I think it was an item (bow or arrows) that probably came from another old Mod that was deleted and the item left a code trace that led to the CTD's?... Then again, maybe it was just fate? Talos was upset? Some Deadric bad spirit code that got into the system? It works now, that's what is important.

thanks for subscribing. sorry to hear about the darkness. the screen shots were taken in the vanilla game, there should be plenty of lighting. perhaps you have a mod that affects lighting or some mods are in conflict causing lighting errors? anyone else have lighting problems?

Great mod! Im using it to store quest items I won, as well as some memorable stuff (like the skull that you find on the pedestal on the cave when you get out of the game). The ONLY problem I had so far is that the lighting is VERY dark. I can't see the bookshelves properly without magic or a torch and a lot of display areas are under too dim a light to see anything. Any help with that would be grand.

Hey, I think a Mod I was running, Adventures and Travellers, was causing the NPC walkthroughs in the Museum I mentioned in a message before. I deleted it and noticed the activity stopped. That mod populates the world and probably doesn't have the code to recognize some other mods like yours.

Hi together,
first of all thank you for that wonderful mod -I restarted the game only to be able to put all my things in the museum when I find them
. But there is a problem I put some clothes on the dummies in the armory; then I removed them and put different stuff on them. Now everytime I come back to the museum the first clothes reappear when I reenter the museum.
Another thing is that some weapons do not correctly stick in the weapon-holder but fly horizontally in the air at the location of the weapon-holder...

They sort of walk through like ghosts, don't really open the doors so much as just stick their face through (from the inside) and start talking to me while I'm getting ready to enter. Then they step out and move on. Traveler NPCs mainly. I've got some funny screenshots. I feel like they're walking through without realizing where they are. I don't know if I have any mods that intentially let npcs into player homes. Also I noticed that this is a recent phenomenon. Didn't occur during my playthrough. All good though, I still love The Museum!

that is really strange. the crossroads only connect to player homes. maybe you have a mod that lets NPCs into the player homes? otherwise, NPCs should not have access to use those doors. also, unless you bought the player homes and have the key, no one can get into those homes.

Here's something odd I've noticed after a long time using this: Travelers are starting to catch on and use the crossroads. I find them cutting through when I get home after a long day killing dragons and they're like "Can I help you?" It's a funny moment.

Hey, I also experience this: "3.when i leave my home i get stuck inside a rock." I step to the left and jump forward to land on next big step down. No big deal but it would be nice to see it fixed. Good luck Rocketman1018 - hopefully you can resolve it. I'll keep an eye open for updates.

lol, if you think you can! go ahead. all of those glitches happen in vanilla game, they are nothing that I introduced. its been a while though, maybe someone found a way to fix them, but, I haven't even played this game for about a year so I have no idea. good luck.

this is my first week with the mod and iv experienced these bugs
1.manaquins floating to celling and me losing my stuff :(
2.the wepon cases will not fit anything inside they just kida float on top.
3.when i leave my home i get stuck inside a rock.
Dont get my wrong this is a pretty awsome mod and some of the bugs listed above are mentiond in the description

This Museum mod has been my main Hub since early in the game and I love it! It's perfect. It's really practical; I do all the organizing, forging, planning and whatever I need to do here. The crossroads function is interesting. I make use of it when I can. The main Musem showcase area - Just Mindblowing! Reminds me of being a kid and going to the Chicago Museum of Natural History (or later going to the NY Museum of N.H.). And the central location, near Whiterun, is very convenient. Thanks for making this!

I have put the priest masks on the display and when I remove them they are not in my inventory!

if and when TES: VI comes out, I will most likely do more mods in the future. I have been learning 3D modeling for use in Cities: Skylines so I will be able to all kinds of things.
