To: Draco1122.. The upgrade station just upgrades the existing item.. Not makes a BP for it as far as i know. I would rather have the BP myself. But one you make a rebalanced version for single player.

Bad news. I reinstalled ark dev and went to put my backup saves in. Seems, I lost about a 1 month of mods and updates. Which without the mods files uncooked. I can't connect to this mod or update it. I will have to make the mod from scratch again and repost. I need to do some more searching but, so far it isn't looking good. Wouldn't have this problem they had a cloud on unreal. Not, sure how I missed backing it up so it maybe on my drives some where have 2 more to check.

Hi there! Like Aeren mentioned, there is an issue with the resource converter. We can't get it to work either. Put in all kinds of materials to convert, but nothing ever happened. We then figured, that it might need some energy to run, tried electricity, oil, sparkpowder, wood, gasoline, but still nothing happens. :steamsad:
Any idea on what to do, to get it running? Thanx in advance and kee p up the good work :steamhappy:

Haven't played in a while so I am asuming it still works. WHich really it should unless the dev changed the resoucres. But, if I remember right just place mat inside should just auto consume mat and turn it into other resource. Let me know if you have trouble.

Hey there! I was just wondering how exactly the resource converter works? I've put almost everything inside that can be converted and nothing happens. I've tried powering it to work as well, with gasoline and electricity, but nothing seems to make it work. Would love to know some details about it because there isn't much about it on the wiki. Thanks for your time in advance!

I believe this to be the best of any research mod that I have seen so far. It's simple, not game breaking, and easily modified to your liking.My only complaint is the random BP return of the recipe. It took me 23 attempts yesterday to get a metal hatchet blueprint and the one I ended up with wasn't very good. Only a 120/300. Perhaps you would consider breaking down the catagories on step further and splitting tools into their own recipe?

I also think it would be really cool if we could improve upon a BP that we already have. For example, turn a metal pick into a random BP with a recipe then turn that recipe into a better version through more research. If you begin with a red BP with 200/300 then the returned BP would be Red and >200/>300.

Nice mod. i installed it a while ago on my smal server i play on with a few friends.

I found a bug when reasearching the misc weapons when i get a blueprint for a electric prod it looks like a spear in inventory, a club in the tooltip has the cost of a club and acts like a multi use electric prod. wich is a litle OP. for the other sets i have researched it seems to work like intended.

We actually call them "useless stuff" because besides summoning the bosses there's nothing to do with them until now.
The term "apex parts" is ok (they are called like that in the game files, thats how I found them). Just a small explanation would be nice. "Place dino parts (like argentavis talon) in to extract blood in research mod. ..."
Sorry if my critiscm sounded too harsh, its a really nice mod and I love the ability to craft my own blueprints!

And I dont know if its supposed to be this way, but you can pickup those research blueprints and craft them in your own inventory.
Furthermore if you pickup the crafty station or fab a bag with the research blueprints will be left behind. You can place the station or fab again to get all research blueprints again.

After searching for two hours on what the heck "apex dino parts" are I found it. They are the things like argentavis talon, saurop vertebrea (from the bronto), Rex arm and megalodon teeth.

It'd be nice if you explained it SOMEWHERE, because I never heard the term "apex dino parts" for these items before.

I just looked into that and there are no engrams (except for the crafting benches) to override in the mod. I'm not sure how to disable them another way?

Just override the engrams then (set them to hidden?) Will that work for engrams not going in the player's engram list?

Great mod! Is there a way to disable some of the recipes? I run a partially primitive server (no explosives or advanced weapons, no metal buildings). Also, is there a plan in the works to allow customization of the costs? TIA, Kjetl

I figured it out last update didnt take on steam. We should be on 2.2a but it isnt it is still 2.2.. Loading dev kit now to upload. I will recook and reset guid as well.

@The [Rock] Fuzz tested in dev kit using give all engrams and items show when I search research and apex. I had what you are experiencing happen to me on my server it is a bad steam download. What I had to do was delete mod. ( So delete folder 773404379 ) Let steam redownload it. Now if you are using Ark server manager make sure you have Force mod copying checked in settings to prevent this error then update server. Let me know that worked for you. Did on my server. Will boot my server up next and test on it. That will take like 15 mins tho I have 69 mods lol.

Just installed locally to test it out. This is a very unique little mod you've made here. I like it. I'm going to install it on our server because it gives us exactly what we're looking for: A way to get blueprints other than what drops in the vanilla game! Thanks!

Hey, just updated on my server, seems we can't power the old fabricator, and we can't get blood to craft a new one, seems the extractor is uncraftable anywhere we can see, I've checked every crafting station and my own inventory but still nothing.

Excellent mod, this game has needed a research table for a long time.

After today's update I can't seem to find where to craft the apex blood extractor though. I have the engram, but the crafting entry doesn't show up anywhere for me. Any advice?

@The [Rock] Fuzz and everybody. I have a solution for the rex arms. I will make a table you place apex dino parts in and it will convert them in to apex blood. Then you use that to craft boxes. So any apex drop will work then. Going to try reducing the quality min multipier from 0.9 to 0.3 should make ascendant alot more rare. Plus for now double costs.

Oh the other thing, Rex Arms for the research table, could I suggest maybe swapping that for argent talons, as T-Rexs are near impossible to find on scorched earth (however argents are plentiful on both maps) even if this means upping the cost of the table. I've literally only seen 1 rex and it was an alpha. not sure if my spawns are whacked but figured I'd make the suggestion regardless.

@The [Rock] Fuzz Yea, game difficulty affects drop rates but I do plan to reduce the drop rate some. Not sure how much that will affect the drop on 20x difficulty tho. I will also increase the cost of the boxes to help. Look for the update around wed. this week.

Hey Draco, Love the idea of this mod, however I only seem to be getting ascendent gear, I feel the 50 fiber 5 obsidian price (just picking that one as an example) is WAY to easy to get for the insta ascendent gear.

I was wondering if there was a setting to either make the box recipes harder (say 10x the current mats) or make it much more likely to give lower tier gear BPs.

Either way Great Mod (As a side note, 20x difficulty server with 3x harvest rate. just incase that affects the mod)

Not getting the fabricator until level 50 is lousy. It is better to be able to research stone and cloth early and gradually move into the improved materials as you go through the game with materials you can get early then gradually changing to materials that can be farmed later.

Need to redownload his mod see if he made any changes. But, I will consider that since it does appear to have been abandoned for a second time. Only reason I didn't do my orginial mod like his is because I though he had it done. Tho, it would be a awhile about a week or so I am working on a few projects atm.

Should be close to right now on drop rate. Added Resource Convertor to make sand, clay, and, silk. For scorched earth items.

Well you can have Items with Stats you set yourself, just they dont show the coloration.

I have also made the suggestion to dev's to add that feature so it can be done. But odds are they have alot to do so heres hoping.
