I need to clarify the first line of my below comment. Their not too strong, mainly becouse they get shot down like a heard of birds from arrow fire. Which is kind Justifying their cost on the campagn map as of currently. If you were to increase their armour, that would make them op. Becouse their charge is a whopping 70 i believe? I do appreciate this though as most unit mods tend to be way overpowered which this one was not so I still use it from time to time in my playthroughs. I do think you have to re-do their stats. Hope you concider my advise in my below comment. I have no doubts in your ablities as a modder becouse most of us do not have the skillset or time to do so. 1+rep for the reply.

I think you are on the spot as far as the recruitment cost. if you were to improve the armour on the unit much more, it would become overpowered concidering as the actual attack/charge stats are superior to even beserkers . If you used the round sheild swords for the base stats/cost, decreased the armour by 25-27 and increased the charge by 7 and the bonus vs infantry by 4, you would be closer to a balanced unit perhaps? This way the unit isn't overpowered but still holds a specialized use.

Most "Naked" units have that as a base, try that first and I think they would be just fine. The issue is that they die waaay to quick in melee. They should be about what Falx Warriors and Tracian warriors are, but only a little less survivable.

At least ten armor

they need some armour they are bit weak
Working Joe  [author] 9 Jun, 2017 @ 2:25pm
how would you adjust their balance? Are they too strong or too weak?

I really like the unit card, though I feel their stats are not very well done from a balance perspective as the title suggests. It's a shame becouse this unit adds alot of flavor to the roster. :steambored:

These guys need at least ten armor, same as mob and naked swords. Otherwise they look and preform just fine.

However the axe model isn't accurate. The axe shank wasn't rounded but elliptical for better stability when hitting....
