TTN Warhead

Transmutation is the process of an atom or it's components or transcripts rapidly changing from one form to another, often with the gaining or shedding of massive amounts of energy, causing temporal wakes of destruction (Literally incinerating or crushing anything in the area).

Thermo-nuclear is the process of a super-heated secondary (and more powerful) nuclear reaction,

think of it like a small boom (the initial blast) and then a millisecond later, BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM.

Zpardis the function as per the description with the largest blast being limited to 30M (the vanilla ones are 22.5M)

was curious if theres any way to have a option on them which would enable or disable damage to voxel's and potentially to block's.

would be kind of cool for less preformance hindering minefields, trap's and potentially homemade cannon's / launchers

The default large warhead has a explosion radius of 22.45M that is a 18 large blocks diameter. There is no difference between the Fission and the Hugh other than the model, they both have the same 30M radius or 24 large blocks diameter.
On the small blocks the default is only 4.5M (or 9 small blocks diameter) so the medium and large are more useful.
personally i actually use the Large Block small warhead a lot for mining (as mentioned above)

Not that i know of, you may be better enquiring in the Keen Discord if there is anyway to do what you want, i do not know of a way i am afraid. I just know when i look at the source code for the Warhead definition it is hard coded, so nothing i can do

@[WAVE_]#21Thif47 the maximum explosion radius is 30M as mentioned in the description. This is implemented in a way that a mod cannot exceed that, no matter how hard i try.

Also, blender version? I'm somewhat new to blender (just got a bunch of SE addons for it all set up). All i see is the MWM files, and i can't seem to do anything with those.

depends on the armour level of the station you are attacking (e.g if its light then it will likely destroy a lot of it, but if it is heavy then your mileage will vary

I have identified the exact bug. If you select either the Hugh or Fission warhead and press the hotkey it will crash, this is a keen issue it happens because keen have detected that the group contains both small and large blocks, however some of the blocks don't have small versions and when it attempts to access the small version it hits an Index was out of range. I cannot 'fix' this problem i can only hack around it by making trying to mess with block pairs to make something that is selectable as the small block version. Going to try and follow up if they can fix it

I suspect it is the Fission and Hugh warhead that are causing the crash as I have defined block pair names but there are no block pairs for the small, I will investigate further down that route

doesnt matter which model, and im on stable branch. through further testing i found that its only when i manually change grid size using a num key. automatic changes from looking at other grids doesnt cause issues.

@shaddap i cannot control the location of the blast it always radiates from the centre of the block. Have you tried the Large Block Small Warhead?

Could you make a small detcharge that blows up the block you place it on, and only slightly damages others? I think precision payloads would be really nice for sneaking into places or disabling systems.

So I created a lovely model for the Fission Warhead

However during testing I found that although I can increase the explosive power (more destruction) there seems to be a cap on the radius :rshout: that is around 50M/20 Block
This kinda makes the new block a bit pointless do you want this block in just set to the cap and hope Keen eventually increase it seeing as I have made the full model?

Nothing against you, you're doing it properly in accordance with the "SE".
I appreciate everyone who contributes to this game, with new ideas and improvements.

Many settings in SE just feels "banging on the head."

And this issue is a little puny.

  The reality is much different, 10KT thermonuclear warhead, sand and gravel into the the subsoil at deep test gouged approximately 160-200 m cavity. That's why I'm a little irritates setting the SE, the MT warhead did not even reach a fraction of the efficiency in the real weapons.

Thing is with explosives is larger quantiy is actually lower effciency (hence why needing 30 for the huge blast) as you have to cover more area expontially as the radius gets bigger. Explosives produce a volume of gas, not a radius of explotion so 1 explosive will create a radius of 1 (volume of 4.19m3), but 2 explosives doesn't create a radius of 2M it would create a radius of 1.26M (volume of 8.38m3). The reason the large medium and small warheads are linear in my mod is that i had to fill in the gaps between what keen had done so it had to be linear or it would not add up. However teh huge being outside that range i used a volume calculation to determine how much was needed. Given that calculation a 100M blast needs 187 Explosives!

Logically Warhead greater efficiency, while preserving the current dimension: Possible to use another type of explosives. (Adding more, a certain quantity of uranium ingot).
In this way should you it can move in other ranges of performance. But it is purely up to you. I think that now is just right, as your mode.

That was me, just a memory of the old SE.
At that time it was still possible to significantly increase the effects of explosion, connecting war head to a container filled explosives.
Today do not know if such an extreme explosion caused a loss to the game and crash the server.

@Gideon Uploaded the 'Jamie wants big boom' Edition so you can now have a 50M/20Block range (it uses a relative amount of explosive based on final volume, 30 explosives)
I don't feel comfortable making any bigger than that as a normal warhead, maybe the 125M/50 Block should be thermonuclear blast using reactor components and a different model?
