Subscribed, love it. You are a genius. I feel like it could use Full Nelson as a skill though, let it temporarily lockdown an adjacent monster.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you guys.
Opting for the beta fixed the wrestling countdown.

This was the only skill that bugs out. The cooldown simply doesn't depreciate ever. I'm not sure what you mean by the workaround, Kaidelong. Do you mean to remove it from the quick bar and put it back in?
Kaidelong 20 Mar, 2013 @ 6:40pm
In the meantime, there is a workaround. Switch the skill out while it is stuck on +1 cooldown, and back in, and it should show the correct cooldown value again.
Kaidelong 20 Mar, 2013 @ 6:39pm
This should be fixed in the current beta release. Get it here: http://community.gaslampgames.com/threads/dredmor-1-1-3-beta-feedback-thread.5193

If cooldowns for mod skills still don't work, go ahead and report the bug.

Unfortunately, I don't believe I can do anything about that. It goes through the game's cooldown method, not through anything I created. All the mod does is specify how long the cooldown is. It's much more likely to have something to do with the actual game rather than my mod.
Neikun 20 Mar, 2013 @ 12:37pm
My piledriver isn't getting any cooldown. I use it once, and the counter stays at 9 for the rest of the game.

@Kaidelong
I suppose. I might bump the cooldown on From Russia With Love or shorten Vodka's length if I did that. Probably the latter, because I like artillery spamming zoos with From Russia With Love.
Kaidelong 16 Jul, 2012 @ 4:02pm
No I wasn't proposing to reduce the cooldown time. It just doesn't seem neccessary to remove the buff, since you only get to use it once per vodka anyway and it's a nice, powerful buff.

@Kaidelong
I could shave a little off the cooldown timer if you'd like. I could also add a crafting recipe.
Although I'm not bringing it down too far cooldown-wise. To bring it down past about 200 would probably mean I would have to make it so you can't make it into aqua vitae.

@grahamz1
Glad I could help.
At the moment there isn't a way to have the amount of vodka scale with any stat, sadly.

@MrMime
Ahhhh! Ok. I didn't know that. Thanks 8-).
Kaidelong may have a point. Considering how infrequently you can conjure Vodka, and how many of the skills require a whole bottle,, the modl kind of encourages spamming the space bar in order to be worthwhile.

There may be a few different ways of handling this -- you could either reduce the effect of Vodka, while reducing the cast timer (greatly). Or you could change it so that the number of bottles of vodka you can summon is related to your skill level. Of you could unlink some of the skills from Vodka and simply control it with a longer timer.
Kaidelong 16 Jul, 2012 @ 1:04pm
It also removes the buff last I tried, meaning you need to drink a vodka before each one. I think this might be overly conservative, especially in combination with the cooldown time.

@grahamz1
Did you drink vodka first? With the 1.1 patch, FRWL requires you to have the buff from vodka on. I might have forgotten to add that to the in-game description, though, and I can change that if you'd like.
Haldurson 16 Jul, 2012 @ 7:44am
"From Russia, With Love" doesn't seem to do anything in my game at all -- I just got the skill for the first time and I've tried it on a few different mobs, and my character does a casting or whatever motion, but nothing else seems to happen.

I've seen that happen with one other mod when there was a conflict with spell i.d.s. I don't know in this case if that is what is happening or not, nor do I know which mod may be causing the conflict. I don't even know if its one I've installed recently as I've not tried that skill before today.

On most of my characters, I wasn't seeing vodka in vending machines very much, but I can see how it would be a problem. I originally made the cost low so that you couldn't sell the vodka from your skill in bulk for a ridiculous amount of zorkmids, but at this point it seems unlikely someone would do that (Vodka used to be a lot less useful, to say the least.) I also think I'm going to nerf the buff timer to 10ish. But yeah, that sounds like a good idea and it should be implimented soon (this thursday or friday.)
Kaidelong 2 Jul, 2012 @ 1:32am
Vodka needs a nerf. Perhaps make it more expensive to buy.

@Bubbleman
I'm kind of screwing around with the HP buffs. Keep in mind this is built to be maxed fairly early, and you need a little boost to provide survivability in builds that don't use alchemy/fungus with it, since tanks lose the ability to use fleshsmithing effectively. I was changing it back and forth from +3/+3 and +5/+5 and I decided I liked +5/+5 better.
From Russia with Love is a special case. It's meant to be a zoo killer for melee characters so they aren't forced to mindlessly drill M1 to defeat them. But with a high cooldown it became mindlessly spamming M1 for 30 turns, then clicking M2, then resuming the M1 spam. Although I do recognize the problem now- in my playthroughs I found myself using it for single target damage a little too much. I'm fixing this in the patch, which I'll upload tonight. It makes From Russia With Love use the Vodka buff like My Way, and nerfs the damage a little bit.

While crushing creatures for the motherland is unspeakably fun, the attacks seem downright broken. From Russia With Love in particular, with its very small cooldown and massive range, and the massive health buffs throughout the pack. Still, a fun skillset for what it is, pure distruction. Another thing of note is that combining this skill with throwing/crossbows makes the lack of magic pretty much a nonfactor.

I'm working on the final touches of a "Wrestlemancy" skill tree. I am a little bit sad that you've pioneered the field. I'll have to try it to compare!

Is the vodka fermented from rye or evil sentient potato?
