I gave the thumbs up for design.
you say:

but you have lots of relays & franking cubes,
that you are not using.
you could delete some or asign functions to the relays. (8 functions for each relay)
or a bit of both.
I have gone over the limit myself & know it can be anoying & frustrating.

Better if there were a more interesting puzzle to solve, like placing 2 Frankencubes on cube buttons and the player on a normal button to spawn a third franken cube (reproduction) and use the 3 Frankencubes to open the exit door ;)
