There is another mod but it's red coloured, that person does offer alternatives but they're green, cyan and removed...
kelstr  [author] 20 Jun, 2021 @ 3:20pm
I think someone made a version for WH2
Ciaphas Cain 20 Jun, 2021 @ 10:16am
Kelstr will this work in Warhammer 2? I love how you've made the eyes more present here!
thaygiaomap2000 21 Apr, 2019 @ 6:08am

Whysofurious 10 Oct, 2017 @ 8:23am
@jpinard http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=877625548 at the bottom of this page :)
suggestion: download both movie files from here and from that mod, since this one will increase intensity too, so you get a very cool effects ;)
jpinard 10 Oct, 2017 @ 8:00am
@Kelstr - below you said "To be honest... f this mod. There's another mod where someone did what I wanted to do !! increasing the draw distance... I use that mod myself :) so you guys should too"

I've looked and cannot find the mod you're describing. Could you post a link or help me find it? Thanks!
kelstr  [author] 23 Apr, 2017 @ 1:11pm
Thanks so much for your kind words, sadly I burned myself out on Warhammer mods lol so I'm currently learning how to mod Stellaris "amazing game, highly recommend it" .... just giving myself a break before TWW2 ;)
Whysofurious 23 Apr, 2017 @ 1:02pm
Anyway i take this opportunity to thank you kelstr for all the map improvements you give to us, so much immersion from clouds, mist, darkness and light :)
I've read somewhere that you are planning a beastmen mini camp. overhaul with the vampires, i really hope you can do it, it would be awesome!
kelstr  [author] 23 Apr, 2017 @ 12:52pm
That's it !!!!
Whysofurious 23 Apr, 2017 @ 12:16pm
@MrWhite I think that maybe he is referring to this http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=877625548 (bottom box 'Movie-type Mods')
MrWhite 19 Apr, 2017 @ 1:31pm
And what is that mod you are using?
kelstr  [author] 6 Apr, 2017 @ 4:53pm
To be honest... fuck this mod. There's another mod where someone did what I wanted to do !! increasing the draw distance... I use that mod myself :) so you guys should too

ToiletBowlPepe 14 Mar, 2017 @ 2:41am

kelstr  [author] 22 Feb, 2017 @ 10:58am
Yes, the glowing eye effect is only visible very close distance... I've tried to make it show futher away but currently not possible :( This just increases the INTENSITY of the effect close up
NoSkill 22 Feb, 2017 @ 9:26am
the glowing effect sets only in on very close distance.
Is this mod intende to be used with ur VC night battles mod?
kelstr  [author] 16 Feb, 2017 @ 12:24pm
Which unit are you lookin at?
Villein 7 Jan, 2017 @ 4:08pm
I have downloaded the file and they have been extracted/placed into the Warhammer data folder and the eye glow remains the same.
kelstr  [author] 7 Jan, 2017 @ 3:45pm
all you have to do, is download the file... and place it in that "data" folder... THAT'S IT :)
Villein 7 Jan, 2017 @ 3:44pm
Ok...I downloaded it and it shows up in the pack file manager. "Vampire_skeleton_eye.pack" is now present in the pack file manager. What I've been doing at this point is clicking on it and selecting "Extract Selected" and then extracting it to "J:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Total War WARHAMMER\data" which made the files appear in the "Warhamer" file's "data" subfolder and did not work. Now if extracting isn't akin to placing/putting into the data folder then thats the issue.
kelstr  [author] 7 Jan, 2017 @ 3:35pm
OK...

When you sub to this mod... it will create the mod in the "mod manager" that (mod) is blank/empty. It's just there so I can monitor how many subscribers there are.. as well as giving you a graphic in the "mod manager"

The actual mod you have to download from here...

You download that file... and put it into your "data" directory.

That's all you have to do. I'm using this mod and it works fine. The most noticeable difference is on the skeleton soldiers... with and without is dramatically different.

Hopefully that helps :)
Villein 7 Jan, 2017 @ 3:16pm
I appreciate all the help kelstr but I can't get it to work I have no idea what the problem is. The pack file was in the data folder and the vfx folder was located there too. It also wasn't showing up in the mod manager anymore. Maybe its mod compatibility issue?
kelstr  [author] 7 Jan, 2017 @ 2:35pm
/http://www.mediafire.com/file/b2i9t3cqjqwnu4t/Vampire_skeleton_eye.pack

download that... it won't show up in the "mod manager" but it will work :)
Villein 7 Jan, 2017 @ 2:11pm
Sorry to keep pestering but the .PACK file "vampire_skeleton_eyes" is in my Warhammer's data folder and it is not working. Any idea why this would be so?
kelstr  [author] 7 Jan, 2017 @ 1:30pm
It's a .pack file type... so you would need PACK FILE MANAGER if you want to open/edit.
PREDATOR 28 Dec, 2016 @ 1:50pm
thanks man
kelstr  [author] 28 Dec, 2016 @ 1:34pm
Link fixed... just have to remove the / at the front and paste into a browser
PREDATOR 28 Dec, 2016 @ 12:13pm
wait do we still need the link/pack file? I dont have the file just noticed the link is removed
PREDATOR 28 Dec, 2016 @ 12:11pm
appreciate the effort
kelstr  [author] 28 Dec, 2016 @ 12:10pm
I've tried a few times to change the shader this VFX uses... but no luck :( I'm trying to increase the draw distance of the eye glow, to be like the skeleton horse glow... so you can see it from further away... I'll keep working on it
PREDATOR 28 Dec, 2016 @ 12:06pm
thank you man!
kelstr  [author] 20 Dec, 2016 @ 8:07pm

Update pls ?
Unnamed_Shadow 8 Dec, 2016 @ 6:47pm
Maybe give Mousillon Vampires a red glow? We got the Red Duke. Would fit.
Aristocratic Astorian 26 Nov, 2016 @ 2:24pm
does this work with tomb king skeletons
Daelin 21 Nov, 2016 @ 7:32pm
As a very passionate vampire counts player, this is a must have for any vamp camp! I'm so bothered by why CA decided to remove a perfectly fine glow, because now it's almost non existent!

When I do play a vamp camp I'll be using this mod along with your other Vampire mods!
Love it bro!
creme_de_la_bear 14 Nov, 2016 @ 11:23am
neat, I was annoyed to find the effect was massively toned down. cheers
Sworcus 12 Nov, 2016 @ 2:01am
Kelstr, i'd like to sincerely thank you for all the time you put into your mods, to make this game that much better. I meant no disrespect.
kelstr  [author] 7 Nov, 2016 @ 10:08pm
Again you are wrong. If you zoom in with the way the game is in Vanilla... you can barely see the effect of the eyes glowing. This mod increases the intensity of that effect.

Yes the draw distance sucks right now... but this mod makes the effect much more NOTICEABLE when you're zoomed in.

Frankly I don't appreciate you saying this mod is pointless if you don't understand exactly what it does. As modders, we work within the limits of what we are allowed to do.

ALSO... in previous versions of the game "pre-updates" the skeleton eye effect... were JUST like this mod. They scaled DOWN the effect in the latest patch, so this is my work... reverting it back to the version that was much more noticeable.

Thanks
Sworcus 7 Nov, 2016 @ 9:57pm
"The draw distance is hard coded by CA and us modders cannot edit that"

Again, this mod is pointless. It does not improve visual effect unless you are zoomed in a great deal. I'm sorry, just trying to save peoples time, but it is true. If in the future "if" draw distance can be edited, this mod would be extroardinary.
kelstr  [author] 5 Nov, 2016 @ 3:16pm
Actually you are incorrect. This mod increases the strength of the visual effect.

The draw distance is hard coded by CA and us modders cannot edit that just yet. So this mod is not useless.

Sworcus 5 Nov, 2016 @ 12:11am
This mod is absolutely pointless at the moment. To see units eyes glow, you literaly have to be zoomed in all the way. With reasonable camera distance, you will see nothing.
Yerbamootay 31 Oct, 2016 @ 1:25am
I can only see the blue eyes if i zoom in really close to the unit. Does this have something to do with my graphics, or did you make it this way?
Bellator 21 Oct, 2016 @ 12:11am
Thank you!~
Daelin 14 Oct, 2016 @ 7:57am
Kelster, I'm a beginner modder, only made one mod for personal use. Was wondering if you could explain how you change colors of textures or anything really in the game via a mod. Do I need to extract the dds of the current model and open it in photoshop and edit the color there?
kelstr  [author] 30 Sep, 2016 @ 10:09am
@Guvenoren yes and no.... you would need to reference the animation that has this VFX... but depending on the head of your unit "human head or skull" we might need to edit the VFX file... so yes it could be done... but it might be quite a pain for you.

I've tried to add NEW vfx files to the game... I wanted to make regiment of renown units have red glowing eyes !!! But the game isn't letting me add the VFX files :(

I did make red glowing eyes for all vampire units and it does look cool tho hahaha
Guvenoren 23 Sep, 2016 @ 10:14pm
Also, is there a way I could add it to my custom unit? They have the exact same model as the Black knights but they don't have it. Cheers ;)
