Also I should mention the one that comes in vanilla have a much lower tri count. Still, the look is different so there's a trade off. Good to just have both versions.

A Californian thanks you very much for these! I LOVE walking around the neighborhood in May/June when these trees are in bloom...honestly, the experience is comparable to when leaves fall in Autumn. We locals literally refer to then as 'Jacaranda Season' and there are groups/events based around them. Some people actually hate them because of their constant shedding of the purple-blue flowers...and if you don't clean up after them, they rot and turn super slimy -_- But beautiful asset, thank you!

You have saved my mexican city with your trees haha thank you bro! I wish you made a great bougainvillea too! Also known as Camelina, such a beautiful pink tree. Also there is another one pretty common here in my city called Bahunia Variegata (Orquidea de primavera). Great job bro thank you!

@SpartanLibertarian There's a slight difference. You can check them out side by side. And if this question also concerns other trees, the workshop versions sometimes come in packs while the base game is only one representative.

With this now added to the base game, is it okay to unsubscribe?

Now I too can make a hurricane of jacarandas.

@MrMaison this one and your red/gold fall trees are my go-to trees to bring an area to life. Got a dreary concrete-jungle area of the city? Bam! Blooming Jacarandas transforms the area and makes everything feel more alive. Thank you for all your awesome contributions to the workshop!

Same here, you're doing an awesome work, but colors are kiiling it, this should also have different slightly different shades of purple and not just a monochrome

@MrMaison
Thanks for the "distance" hints. I'll try them.
And I'll be keeping an eye out for your next flowering tree.
:^)
MrMaison  [author] 18 Oct, 2016 @ 12:14am
HGscMENTOR- Thanks. I do plan on making more flowering trees in the future. As for distance, Make sure your graphic settings is on high if your system can handle it. Or use Lod Toggler mod to make screenshots. That mod makes lods kick in at a further distance.

I do have one question about the jacaranda, though. It seems to dissappear when it is a distance away and then reappear as I get closer to it (for example, when I'm doing a first person walk or drive). Is there something I can do to make it stay focused like your weeping willow or acacia tree?
Beth2020 17 Oct, 2016 @ 9:38am
LOVE this tree - thank you so much for making it. I've replaced the previous Jacaranda tree I had in my parks with yours. The other was very pretty but not realistic enough. Thanks again for a wonderful tree.

QUESTION: What are the chances of you creating a pink-flowered blooming apple tree or cherry tree? I'd replace the present pink-flowered trees in my parks with one by you in a heartbeat if you created one. Just a thought......

Great tree...... Thankyou

Finaly an Aussie tree.

Reminds me of my childhood here in australia too like gfv1974 said!
MrMaison  [author] 9 Sep, 2016 @ 4:46pm
Giovanni- There's only one tree here.

REVO- lol I only make 2048 textures if the situation calls for it. This tree have small delicate flower petals that would turn to mush at 1024. I can safely say most of my trees will stay at 1024 and below as long as they look good.

Fantastic as always.
Eva 8 Sep, 2016 @ 8:37am
Did you include multiple Trees ? Or Just one ?
MrMaison  [author] 8 Sep, 2016 @ 5:18am
My apologies everyone. The textures are in fact 2048 which is why it's over 9mb. I suspect the textures play a huge roll in file size. The amount of color range also effects the size of an image. Since this tree is have more color than most of my others, the texture size is bigger. I corrected the texture size in the description.
SonOfNitrous 8 Sep, 2016 @ 3:06am
+1 to TPB! If smdy "wants optimization" - buy a better PC :steamhappy:
Elias 8 Sep, 2016 @ 12:14am
nice as always. but i don't understand why it has nearly 10 mb? 1024 texture isn't that much. can someone explain that to a noob like me?
Katalepsis 8 Sep, 2016 @ 12:03am
No it doesn't. If you optimize this is becomes ugly as hell, like most other trees in the workshop and the game. If you've got a problem with 2k tris trees, just don't use them. Amazing tree MrMaison!
Cleveland 7 Sep, 2016 @ 11:01pm
2k tris. This needs heavy optimization bro.
