Admittedly, the second aimbot section where the vault is proved to be a bit tedious to get everything compiled. At the same time, however, the mod served as a sort of introduction to using batch commands in the console.
Good work with this map, though I'd suggest you try and debug it some and find a way to deal with some of the known crashes in this map ^^;
I got all the way to the end, and when launching the safe through the skylight it bounced off the roof. I rebooted the level, and when I was placing the autocase on the arm outside the window, I dropped my deck into the abyss. So only things I should have been careful for caused me problems haha. Great design, friend.
Not sure if there was any reason to go into that room other than to get inside but I managed to complete the mission without it.
an easy fix would be to include a small objective in that first room, such as photographing something...>Thanks so much for the content!!
The crash seems to be consistent for most people, occurring when the level is restarted and then either one or more launchers are placed
One possible workaround for this would be to include jump pads instead of asking the player to place launchers, however it would take some of the fun out of it in my opinion...
Let me know what you think! I'm open to other suggestions too
I just shot some windows out and had a pretty easy go of things. I feel like i cheated myself so i'll have to give it another go
The naming scheme isn't consistent with the base game e.g. window_2 skylight_1 although controller1 uses the right scheme. I think it is cool that different companies might have different naming schemes so that might be something you were going for. It just isn't consistent in the level but it is probably something easy to update either way!
Really cool level, I absolutely love the autocase, it is my favourite mechanic. All the program swiching introduces a lot of difficulty which I love, I feel like you really hit a good spot with testing out "hard" difficulty of this mechanic without it becoming not fun.
Thanks for the info, I updated the script so the washer should reset when the player presses F3 to restart.
Regarding the crash, does the game crash when you place a launcher and try to adjust its trajectory?
I also included the DarkRadiant map file so if anyone is interested they can have a look at how it was put together. If you have any questions about how I created anything in the level, let me know
