@DarkSedas i ended up trying out the stargate mod in creative and it seems to me that the stargates work, you can dial them and all goes well, also a question i have is that i run my game with a scarce ores mod where earthlike doesnt have gold silver uranium etc, the rarer ores are locked to other planets to encourage visiting them. do the stargate ores replace silver, gold, or other rare ore spawns? i have not found a single naquadah or trinium anywhere on earthlike so im wondering if they arent found on earthlike by default or if moving silver gold plat etc to the other planets also moved the stargate ores too

Is there a problem with the gates? On Saturday it was working normally and today the gates cannot find a connection to others. They light up but nothing happens when you go through

Hey Mod team, quick question. When it comes to the problem with Pistons and rotors, is this only for grids where the gate is placed or the entire world?

Had a bit of suprise when i was testing the gates mod in creativ and the rotor and hinges of a diffrent gird that was not part of the gird where i had placed the gate went haywire. Also, wheeled grids where also affacted for some reason :/

As of the eighth of September, space engineers apex survival broke the Star gate mod
-star gates, cant detect other gates preventing dialing
-super gates, cant detect other super gates preventing dialing

i found a zpm and i'm trying to place it into the hub on my station, but there's no inventory access to it? i saw a post on the separated energy mod that there's a conveyor in the bottom of the hub but even with a conveyor there I still can't move items into the hub? is this how it works, or am I missing something here?

Can confirm, pistons/hinges/rotors i.e. all subgrids explode on usage of these stargates when placed.

The ships in the mod seem to spawn in unmoving without AI. The weapons also seem to spawn in without ammo. Is there a way to stop the ships from spawning?

Has anyone tried to make the X-302 fighter? because I tried and I think I did the math along with the guns on the game it feels almost impossible

I found a issue with both stargate mods, yours and Sherbert's.
If a Sabiroid tries to follow you through the gate it will cash a multi player server and the game. I don't know if this is known but I've tested it with both mods and each react the same. The only way to prevent it I've found is to make the stargate area inaccessible to the Sabiroids. Safezone's don't keep them out either, I didn't try any type of shield mods.

Why does the MALP not even work it doesn’t even move (it doesn’t move when placed down even in midair and i cannot even drive it) i can only view its camera like a normal space engineers camera would work but other than that it doesn’t do anything

do you gotta do a certain thing to make it work or something? please help

it's the best mod you can add to a space engineers game as a stargate fan i find this mod really successful and incredible even if i think naquadah should be slightly rarefied it only took me a little research to find some but otherwise bravo

Can we have an "everybody can use" checkbox added to the Stargates and DHD please? I wish to assemble encounters where Stargates don't care about faction ownership. As a stepping stone to that I figured out how to add them to NPC economy stations, but they naturally take ownership of the Stargate, which is a problem for me.

so... i don't remember where i saw it... but i swear there was a Mod Block which basically was a Naquadah Generator that actually looks built to power up a Starship, idk where it went and its kinda sad cause it was amazing

The super gate breaks my game lol whenever i put another block on the same grid it completely breaks my game. i don't know if i'm not supposed to build onto the grid after i made it but it does

@skye there's an internal command for "/stargate hide supergate" - I can't imagine this is the only command, and yet I can't find the others anywhere; I shouldn't have to download another mod to do something the first one (potentially) does with a little configuration; but the documentation on this mod is sparse and disconnected.

Actually, he's pretty responsive on Discord; though I'm not sure if he still actively develops for SE.
Hopefully, in 20 years we'll be on SE2, in which case somebody will recreate this.

As for your issue, have you tried searching for mod that can restrict blocks or types for admin only? There are a few of those, for example:

Is it possible to make it where only admins can place Stargates? For reference I'm using the Gates Standalone package with Supergates already disabled (because of the bug), but I noticed you can still make the neccessary materials even without the ores mod.

@skye, The DHD Computer comes with a quick dial and manual entry, maybe that's better for starters :P
