Found in the 3.3 patch notes so yes this mod is now obsolete: * Scientists currently researching a technology can now gain new traits as they level up.
Tanaka 16 Mar, 2022 @ 10:56pm
Does this still work or was it implemented into the game in 3.3?
Elitewrecker PT 20 Jan, 2022 @ 4:18am
Gonna be implemented with 3.3
Ravemaster99 2 Dec, 2021 @ 4:29pm

BladeRnr 25 Nov, 2021 @ 5:36am
Still seems to work fine for 3.2.

Hope it works for 3.1.2
Delta4Phoenix 22 Sep, 2021 @ 5:16am
Can anyone confirm if this still works?
djvandebrake 18 Apr, 2021 @ 2:57pm
Using this with 3.0.1 and it appears to still be working. Researchers getting traits!
Pyrus 3 Mar, 2021 @ 2:17pm
I've seen my researchers getting traits on the current patch, so this seems to still be working
Longprao 30 Oct, 2020 @ 10:03am
When I have this mod turned on, stellaris 2.8.1 beta just stucks on the small flash screen
:D_TOASTY_D: 4 Jun, 2020 @ 3:03am

joakim.westergaard 18 Feb, 2020 @ 11:17am
Still working with 2.5?
Seapanda 20 Oct, 2019 @ 3:15am
Are there any expected issues with compatibility of this mod with 2.4?
Jaskyl  [author] 31 Aug, 2019 @ 10:58pm
@Viper Infinity. Nope, this adds/changes scripts so it would prevent achievements.
ViperInfinity 31 Aug, 2019 @ 3:19pm
ironman compatible?
Plerion 8 Aug, 2019 @ 12:36pm
Thanks for the update!
Jaskyl  [author] 7 Aug, 2019 @ 10:41pm
I like to make sure that nothing has changed each incremental patch, but it rarely does. I suppose 2.3.* would at least remove the annoying red mark.
AL|EN 7 Aug, 2019 @ 11:57am
Jaskyl For next update, replace supported_version="2.3.2" with supported_version="2.3.*"
Jaskyl  [author] 22 Jul, 2019 @ 4:54pm
@atletikus. I changed this mod to use its own files so there shouldn't be any direct incompatibility (i.e files being overwritten). I haven't used Perfect Start myself so I'll have to have a look at what it does.
atletikus 22 Jul, 2019 @ 9:03am
@Slynx Jewel Never said it was. You simply have to be a bit less of a rigid thinker than you seem to be and turn your researchers out on pasture when you encounter said anomalies, then back in with +1 trait regardless of maximum traits. Easy when you try XD
Slynx Jewel 22 Jul, 2019 @ 7:19am
good for you. bet there are no events for the researchers in science tab XD
atletikus 22 Jul, 2019 @ 4:36am
@Slynkx Jewel No, traits can also be gained outside level up through anomalies/events. Just gained one single trait (psionic expertise) through levelling up from research on 100s of level ups.

I'm using the "Perfect Start" mod which also affects researchers, so checked for compatibility issues by not loading the aforementioned mod (and "Ruler Agenda and Traits" mod by same author), and now my researchers gains trait as advertised by this mod.

Any chance of a compatibility patch made to this mod? :)
Slynx Jewel 20 Jul, 2019 @ 1:56am
it's working for me. so maybe you just wasn't paying attention?
after all they gain traits only during level ups
atletikus 19 Jul, 2019 @ 9:35pm
Not working for me. Researchers never gain traits.
Jaskyl  [author] 24 Jun, 2019 @ 6:55pm
No changes again, just the number :).
RedSaber 24 Jun, 2019 @ 6:45pm
Tell us when you can update to 2.3.2 ;)
AprilsRealm 12 Jun, 2019 @ 3:26am
@Arturia, thank you! ^_^
Jaskyl  [author] 11 Jun, 2019 @ 4:56pm
Yep, nothing needed changing. Just updated the number :)
AprilsRealm 11 Jun, 2019 @ 8:20am
Is this mod compatible with 2.3.1?

and if so, will the version indicator be updated soon?
Jaskyl  [author] 4 Jun, 2019 @ 8:51pm
There were a couple of lines that needed changing for the new version :). Updated to 2.3 now.
Pink Photon 4 Jun, 2019 @ 7:07pm
Can confirm: There's an error message about this mod being outdated with the new DLC, but it still works.
ziyakaz 19 Jan, 2019 @ 9:36am
Thanks for responding. I'll test again once I start playing Stellaris again.
Pink Photon 5 Jan, 2019 @ 2:48pm
Thanks a bunch! For such a small thing, it really bugs the heck out of me that this isn't in the base game.
Jaskyl  [author] 4 Jan, 2019 @ 7:47pm
Hi everyone. Sorry for the lack of response, I've been away for a while. The mod doesn't appear to need updating due to it being in separate files. I've updated the version number however for those that get annoyed by the red marks (like me). Let me know if you come across any issues.

@ziyakaz: this mod uses the same probabilities for gaining traits as vanilla, so it's not guaranteed. There could perhaps be a conflict but if you're explorers aren't gaining traits then that sounds like another mod's fault. This mod doesn't touch the explorer scripting anymore.
Slynx Jewel 30 Dec, 2018 @ 5:23pm
@ziyakaz it's working though
ziyakaz 30 Dec, 2018 @ 4:21pm
Decided to try this out in a game. Don't think it's working. No scientists appear to be gaining traits, researchers or otherwise.
Slickcharms 16 Dec, 2018 @ 7:28pm
Does this mod work anymore? Will it be updated?
Sophia Ferddinand 12 Dec, 2018 @ 7:09am
Does it work with 2.2? Thank you for your great work!
Yuki 8 Dec, 2018 @ 8:29am
Please update
Great 6 Dec, 2018 @ 3:28pm
Does it work with 2.2 ?
Plerion 1 Oct, 2018 @ 4:17am
Thanks a lot for keeping this updated!
Jaskyl  [author] 18 Sep, 2018 @ 7:24pm
The mod has been updated to improve compatibility with other mods. There may be some issues with mods that add new traits to scientists though, in that the researchers will be restricted to vanilla traits.
Jaskyl  [author] 22 May, 2018 @ 6:01pm
I'm going to be updating this to 2.1 soon. For those who are still finishing games before moving to 2.1, you can find a legacy version here :). https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1392508444
Saber 28 Apr, 2018 @ 5:13pm
This is a neat idea, thanks for putting it into a mod!
Jaskyl  [author] 27 Apr, 2018 @ 6:22pm
Just a minor update to bring it in line with 2.0.4
Faren (Lawful) 2 Apr, 2018 @ 11:26pm
Resubbed :) Glad to hear it's workign again
Jaskyl  [author] 2 Apr, 2018 @ 5:56pm
Yep, all fixed now :).
