For the wood I'd suggest you take an example from the already existing wood textures in TF2 such as the fences', walls', or weapons'. The trumpet I think could use more colour (1 more could be enough) so we can tell the parts of it apart like the buttons, rings and the mounthpiece, because now it looks like a single piece rather than an assembly.
Too gross? I'm pretty sure these head models are actual models that Valve made for Meet the Soldier.
