Negate. It should prevent you from taking damage from lava entirely.
In the same way that the poison resist augment prevents you from taking poison damage.

Does this negate or simply reduce the damage from lava?

It should let you swim in the planet core, but there is still an instant killzone at the bottom of the lava, and it is hard to recover your items if you die there.

thanks my stuff fell into the bottom of a lava ocean and this helped me get it back 11 out of 10 would jump in lava again

ive played it with fu, and a ton of other mods and it works just fine. no they dont have one of their own.

I have no idea, I do not use FU. But it should work as long as it's normal vanilla lava you're swimming in.
They might have their own augment though.

Updated to 1.1.
Added unLava Syrum, updated sprites, tweaked descriptions, and complexified ingredients.

New syrum can be crafted at the level two apothocary at the cost of a bottle, some volatile powder, a piece of phase matter, and burn spray.
The augment texture has been changed to something less lazy and more in-step with Starbound's artstyle, and its crafting requirements have been changed to be more sensical. It is still crafted at the atomic furnace.

This thing is awesome. It's nice being able to actually explore the lava ocean planets. Without any ability to get or even resist/lower the damage of lava in vanilla, it makes those planet types almost entirely worthless and a waste of space.

Nothing is more douchebaggy than informing a mod author that someone else made vaguely the same mod when the two clearly arent the same and will function differently when paired with other mods.

Well, that's good for Perfect EPP. Doesn't really affect me in the slightest; I made this for convenience, not to feel good about myself.
I don't use Perfect EPP and I'm sure there are others who don't, either, so I'm going to leave this up for that reason.

Perfect EPP does this better AND doesn't just give you immunity to lava, it does it to O2 problems, Poison, the dreaded Radiation/Cooking/Liquid Nitrogen planets and even givesl light! Sorry to tell you that. But at least Treasured Trophies sells the only material to get the thing: Perfectly Generic Items!

Should be. It doesn't use Lua or modify anything that was changed, and it hasn't crashed my game yet to have.

Is this working for 1.3?

That's the game, actually; even when you could get through core lava it would cut off the screen at the "bottom" of the map, and still does so in asteroid fields.

I believe it does, though to be honest I haven't tested it in a while. I wouldn't try it, though, since the bottom of the world is still lethal.

It doesn't work when you go deep enough the screen stops moving.

does this work against core magma too?

No problem @RebelNightOwl. I always thought it was kinda stupid how you could only have one augment per EPP. Also, you can tranfer augments between EPPs with this mod, too, so if you want to upgrade your EPP but don't want to lose the augments, craft a base level one and transfer the augments to it for a minute.
