i've always wanted something like this

I play a lot of heavy and play the cello in school, so this is actually perfect.

I imagine that it would have a stat kinda like Amputator, where you can play if you have enough kills, and it would give you a speed boost.

I suggest you try using "The Desperado" as the name of the gun.That name is a reference to the movie Desperado where they got the infamous guitar case full of guns.Anyways great concept <3

Oh :-( Well in that case it would be a bit pointless.

It's not unfeasible that a small animation could be added to make the case pop open. In fact it's a frequently suggested idea. the world model would probably not support additional animations, but in first person a set of additional draw/undraw animations could achieve the effect. Implementation however is all on valve's end, pretty much.

@Pogo: I just read the latest Kritzkast "Meet your Makers 2" interviews, and after I saw the picture of this minigun model I can here straight away to see if it was still on the Workshop. Nice. Congratulations on the interview.

A question: Does the instrument case open when the Heavy spins up his minigun, and close again when he spins it down? So that when he runs with the minigun the case is always closed. Or if that is not the case, is this concept even possible? I'm not a modeller myself, but it does not strike me as a very complicated movement, compared to, say, parts that spin around. The case just needs to open and close. Just an idea that struck me.

However, I'm not sure if Valve would even consider a weapon that might not be "sufficiently minigun-shaped" while closed? On the other hand, in a way the instrment case *is* minigun-shaped. So maybe I am overthinking things.

Reminds me of that one girl from RWBY, who has a case that turns into a Minigun.

I feel this would just be a reskin, BUT you could upload a song from itunes onto it. So while you fire, you can listen to whatever you song you want.
