Disregard last post. Got PFM working. Will hopefully have a preliminary release of TWH2 spacing out this evening.

Yes I will eventually release a version of this for W2 + Mortal Empires, it'll just take a bit because I'm without my gaming rig. Sorry!

Man I am missing this mod in WH2, are you going to update it & bring it in for Mortal Empires?
Abokan 9 Sep, 2017 @ 1:42am
Many thanks for the work done:steamhappy :steamhappy:

there was an older hero character in a mod which had ravens(bats) as small side bodyguards, it is gone, but if it returns as ravens for an instance, would it be a spacing problem.
there are also the battle brothers mod with specialised units few in number. im just going to test it a little bit before starting a campaign. ty a ton for making loose formations, i have already seen the effect it has with ranged fire onto them being rather random in damage output.

As far as I know this shouldn't alter the spacing characteristics of lords/generals
vaa 28 Aug, 2017 @ 7:12am
is unit spacings table altered for custom heroes and lords in general. if they were to have bodyguards of a sort attached to them or riding mounts they werent used to in vanilla.
IntrepidH 27 Aug, 2017 @ 8:08pm
no worries, I like to stagger them toward the front with my mauraders to eat any charges anyways so makes sense in a way I feel, thanks again for this sick ass mod, it really helps make the game a spectacle more-so!

It did not need to be updated.

Unfortunately, Norsca Spearmen do not use a horde formation like other norsca units on account that they use 'normal' human spacing shared with other spearmen units. To change this would require altering another set of DB entries and I'd rather not invite a needless mod conflict for one unit.

Will this mod get updated?
Ciel 10 Aug, 2017 @ 10:46am
Awesome! Thanks, Force! :D

Before anyone asks, I will get around to updating this mod when Norsca drops and Warhammer II. Potentially, some norsca units will just reuse the existing templates for norsca and chaos units, so marauders may keep their varied formations. I hope chaos knights have their template so they can look more professional, but we'll see!

As for Warhammer II, I'll work on that whenever it is released.

Sorellum you wont get anything like unless you play darth mods

Any chance of making cavalry units overlap eachother less? Noticed this with the Empire demigryphs in particular.

super random question since you are a decent modder, Are you able make the soldiers to fight more chaotic and without restraint, not caring much about holding the line and formations? Loose formations that dont reform? Likes ur mod!

Loving your work on this. It makes so much sense. Thank you again :)

Hey guys updated for Bretonnia. Peasants are mob like, while just about everonye else has normal spacing. It's nice to see a horde advancing before more tight formations. Deus Vult.
Murph 3 Feb, 2017 @ 7:56pm
This mod is amazing! Orcs appear as a savage horde on the battlefield now. Definitely increased my enjoyment of the game. Thank you!!
Opposing Farce  [author] 26 Jan, 2017 @ 1:27pm
@Falxmen,

Yes, it should, UNLESS the mod used a brand new template for unit spacing. However, in my experience almost no one ever takes the time to make a new template. IE, if someone added a new orc unit, they just copy and paste the same template the other orc units have. Ergo, the new unit is spaced like all the others.
GONZO 21 Jan, 2017 @ 2:40am
will it affect orc and vampure units from mods
Darth Tater 18 Jan, 2017 @ 11:55pm
Nice mod. Playing with Savage Orcs right now and it fits perfectly.
soylent 16 Jan, 2017 @ 2:54am
Great Mod. I love it!

Love it. Works like a charm. Thanks :)
IntrepidH 7 Nov, 2016 @ 10:16am
I''ve used this mod with dozens of other mods with no issues thankfully :) (i imagine its a table that doesn't conflict with much else) but this mod is PERFECT, thank you for making it, it feels so much better seeing undisciplined warriors march against trained armies (especially zombies! http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/190668859946040613/8BBC48EF9ED53993EBDCEE69A0461838F68EAF18/

QTE 26 Oct, 2016 @ 4:20pm
mod compatible with "Proper Combat" ?
Opposing Farce  [author] 21 Oct, 2016 @ 11:06am
I'm out of town this weekend and will not able to update for the new patch until next week. I think this mod should be fine, though. The new goblin units may be in oerfect formation until they are included.
siddgeir 11 Sep, 2016 @ 1:35am
I love this! Get a boomstick mod to beef the 'splosions, and things get...messy.
AtticNote 5 Sep, 2016 @ 6:52pm
Thank you thank you thank you! :steamhappy: Works just as I hoped!

@pleeb2 : I have not noticed any struggles with climbing ladders yet.

@davyboi : I'll try to make some tweaks, I noticed the same, although it didn't bother me all that much. For some insight, this mod affects the "close_formation_spacing_variation" variable for some units. Think of this as the 'randomizer' for unit spacing within the unit itself. This pairs with two other values, "close_formation_spacing_horizontal" and "close_formation_spacing_vertical".

These are your 'fixed' values for unit spacing within itself. So, theoretically, if I increased these fixed variables there would be no clipping, however now the footprint of the unit is increasing and it's beginning to have a more adverse affect on gameplay.

I recommend you download the pack file manager tool and take a look, and make tweaks to your liking.

That being said, right now the spacing randomizer has a value of '4', and I'm going to try to make it '3' to see if that helps.
Manbjörngris 16 Aug, 2016 @ 2:15pm
Great mod man but just to bring to your attention there are some heavy clipping going on. Goblings standing on each other's toes and what not.
the wanderer 16 Aug, 2016 @ 5:53am
you don't see a herd of cows forming up in neat rank and file.... great mod
k|Aquila Mars 16 Aug, 2016 @ 2:12am
Thanks for this :steamhappy:
pleeb2 15 Aug, 2016 @ 9:54pm
Do they still climb up ladders at the usual pace?
