Let me know if it isn't working. Seems to work for me.
there are also the battle brothers mod with specialised units few in number. im just going to test it a little bit before starting a campaign. ty a ton for making loose formations, i have already seen the effect it has with ranged fire onto them being rather random in damage output.
Unfortunately, Norsca Spearmen do not use a horde formation like other norsca units on account that they use 'normal' human spacing shared with other spearmen units. To change this would require altering another set of DB entries and I'd rather not invite a needless mod conflict for one unit.
As for Warhammer II, I'll work on that whenever it is released.
Yes, it should, UNLESS the mod used a brand new template for unit spacing. However, in my experience almost no one ever takes the time to make a new template. IE, if someone added a new orc unit, they just copy and paste the same template the other orc units have. Ergo, the new unit is spaced like all the others.
@davyboi : I'll try to make some tweaks, I noticed the same, although it didn't bother me all that much. For some insight, this mod affects the "close_formation_spacing_variation" variable for some units. Think of this as the 'randomizer' for unit spacing within the unit itself. This pairs with two other values, "close_formation_spacing_horizontal" and "close_formation_spacing_vertical".
These are your 'fixed' values for unit spacing within itself. So, theoretically, if I increased these fixed variables there would be no clipping, however now the footprint of the unit is increasing and it's beginning to have a more adverse affect on gameplay.
I recommend you download the pack file manager tool and take a look, and make tweaks to your liking.
That being said, right now the spacing randomizer has a value of '4', and I'm going to try to make it '3' to see if that helps.
