I could have sworn this house had a mine attached to it... But I can't seem to find it now...

I love this mod but when I got into Grey Ledge Manor I found 4 skeletons chasing the chickens and the chickens were killed :( also how do you get on the roof when I tried I went straight through the ladder I found the only way I could get up was to use the command "tcl"
and great mod keep up the excellent work.
Cullen Hawkins 20 Jul, 2013 @ 2:20pm
saw this on a youtube vid thx for the house with no load doors keep up the great work :)

What i'm hoping to find is a mod that makes Weather have collision detection because I think Morrowind had it when I stand under a roof I don't have snow or rain or other crap magically phasing through the roof and walls it actually stopped and I could realistically stare out into the bad weather instead of being a part of it under cover...

I dont have heartfire, didnt see the point if i could just mod a house ino it. I then realized i hated most of the houses i found. So many load screen and doors. This is perfect, i show up, drop off, make things, drop off loot, and im out. It feels more like a house then any other house mod ive seen so far. Also the amount of details to naming each chest, great work!

Great house! but it conflicts with the hearthfire dlc. I went through all of my mods and found this to be the only one conflicting with the building of the new house Heljarchen hall. Not sure why, but once I disabled the mod I could build the foundation and everything else... I won't pretend to understand it, I am just here to report the bug

For everyone having problem with this mod and heartfire DLC... grey ledge manor II has no conflicts as far as i know =D
KRUZiiK 11 Nov, 2012 @ 4:32am
I have over 200 mods... but this was the only mod that conflicted with the Hearthfire DLC (houses showing up...) hope it can be fixed... really like this mod :(
babserdiquack 16 Oct, 2012 @ 4:02am
....all the walls and floors have collission planes - i really don't get it - made the doll 'no respawn', checked for any behaviour skripts and disallowed movement. i will try the premade mann., weapon racks etc. mod you recommended but i don't have high hoped for it to work - how did you do it in your grey ledge manor? the mannis there always worked perfectly for me but i can't seem to find the difference between yours and mine. It would also be nice if you could take a look at my .esp if you have time and are interested - thx again for your help
babserdiquack 16 Oct, 2012 @ 4:00am
Hi wreznor - sorry for asking on your profile but i wasn't able to access the steam workshop for a few months now - my house is finished now, except the navmesh and i still have the mannequin problem - i copied yours - the behaviour is as follows:
first load: i find them walking around the house, upon clicking on the activtor, they appear and freeze in a 'free-fall' position; second load: they all are where they supposed to be and their body posture is normal; third load: the mannequins on the first floor are stuck in the floor up to their waste and the ones in the cellar are are gone up to the ceiling...
Jela'n 9 Oct, 2012 @ 2:18pm
Unfortunately Grey Ledge Manor will crash on me with Hearthfire enabled. :( Hope it can be
fixed,
Nick Manstein 21 Sep, 2012 @ 2:51pm
... just a pity that my spouse Ysolda is stuck under the floor. Only her head is peeping out.
jwaz 16 Sep, 2012 @ 5:46pm
Great house! So many people over do it when making player homes, adding thousands of chests and mannequins.
Nick Manstein 13 Sep, 2012 @ 2:29pm
What a beautiful place. And you can look outside through the windows. That's what I miss by all the other houses in Skyrim. I love it. Great mod!
hiddenite 7 Sep, 2012 @ 8:09pm
I like the house, but can't use it because of the buffer the area causes
wreznor  [author] 27 Aug, 2012 @ 9:58pm
Riddle 78 --very strange...wish i knew what would cause that. i didnt move the mountain or the cliff, i just built it on top of it, so that has me puzzled. as for the daedric artifacts, my other mod 'dragonius tower' has a room dedicated to displaying all of them. its a huge place and quite a bit different than grey ledge.

@wreznor I enjoy this mod. It has everything I need without being too confusing. I noticed it's a bit lacking for trophy collectors such as myself (I've yet to find a home that allows you to put all of the Daedric Artifacts on display),but that's a minor gripe. I have noticed a bit of a bug, however. Whenever I arrive at Grey Ledge, there is always a long abberant strech of mountain texture somewhere on the property, most often in the main room of the house. Any idea on what causes this,or how to fix this?
Stoic 14 Aug, 2012 @ 12:38pm
nice but can you make a basement with a werewolf a man and a woman to torture which will be revived everyday and chained to the wall
Max1mu5 8 Aug, 2012 @ 3:15pm
this is my favourite mod house. it would be lovely to have maybe 2 more maniquins somewhere, maybe in a storage room, but good job
parapet 5 Aug, 2012 @ 2:35pm
I love this house, but it started doing something odd today. The armor on the mannequins was invisible when I entered the house. It was still on them, and when I took it off and put it back on again it was visible. But once I left the house and came back in, the armor was invisible on the mannquins again. Odd bug.

If I have suggestions for a quest, how should I get them to you, Wreznor?
Úlfur 31 Jul, 2012 @ 10:32pm
you can add a second floor to the wind mill and place stuff there and mabey a horse stable..
wreznor  [author] 31 Jul, 2012 @ 9:23pm
Wolvenspirit --- always open to suggestions.
Úlfur 30 Jul, 2012 @ 10:14pm
@Wrenzor if your oke with it I can som up some suggestions for you..
roboSTERNE 30 Jul, 2012 @ 8:53pm
Wreznor - I'm not sure how complex you can get, but I do like your idea with a cave nearby; finding a journal, then a will, then the key (maybe spicing it up a bit with locations and text) or maybe having the player do something a bit more complicated; have the house kind of run-down and inoperable at first with a quest to do repairs. Maybe some wood, hinges, glass... etc.

If you'd like more suggestions I can try and brainstorm up a few ideas.

Also, thanks for getting back to me and addressing my question! :)
wreznor  [author] 30 Jul, 2012 @ 8:42pm
Wolvenspirit --- always open to suggestions.

Sterne --- wanted to have a courier quest but i can't seem to get it to work. May try again from a different tutorial. I don't know...maybe put a cave nearby, sort'a mine/dungeon thing? Any suggestions?
Úlfur 30 Jul, 2012 @ 6:22am
@wreznor I just downloaded your mod and now im in the house and
I LOVE IT!! it's briljant and no waiting screens :D
are there going to be more updates?? and if so may I make some suggestions??
roboSTERNE 29 Jul, 2012 @ 7:45am
I'm excited for this mod; seems like a really great idea. How far along are you in developing the quest to get this house? I know if I install it i can just get it, but I'd rather work for it a bit :D
wreznor  [author] 23 Jul, 2012 @ 9:18pm
you can also check out my newest No Load Door home: "Heartwood Manor" on Nexus only (it uses an .esm file for sorting/storage and wont work on steam), I used an occlusion cube inside the barn to display a lot more items with less resource use -- mannequin version is a little slower because of the navmesh inside the cube, but check it out in the ck and maybe you can use that to have more stuff.

Good luck!
wreznor  [author] 23 Jul, 2012 @ 9:10pm
babserdiquack -- hello again. as to the containers, no special settings other than making sure they are 'norespawn' containers, unless you want some containers to actually respawn some items. A great resource to use for mannequins, bookshelves and weapon displays is Eldiabs "Modders Resource-Weapon Racks-Bookshelves-Plaques-Mannequins--"
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/11618

contains all those items in a single cell that you can copy and paste. Saves hours of work.

I think i put the windows on afterwards. I originally just copy-and -pasted the main structures and flooring and added the little stuff when in the exterior cell. I didn't have anything get out of alignment, although nothing was at 90 degrees once in the exterior.
babserdiquack 23 Jul, 2012 @ 7:27am
...I also would like to know how you overcame alignment issues when copying the whole thing to tamriel? I marked everything in my int-cell, then copy and paste in tamriel but when i rotate the house most fine-aligned objects snap out of the the alignment - e.g the windows you used or for that matter everything that has an inside and outside part. I wonder if there is a way to put all the objects of an int-cell into one bigger object - like a zip file or similar - so you only have one object to mark in tamriel - there is no way (except ctrl+z) you can remark the house and all of its objects if you lose the focus on it - i can't even find all the objects in the cellbrowser when i'm outside - as always your help is very much appreciated - thanx!
babserdiquack 23 Jul, 2012 @ 7:20am
Hi again - i redesigned the house using as few objects as possible in the construction to fight possible lag issues. I'm now in the process of furnishing etc - my question now refers to mannequins, containers, weaponracks etc. - is there anything special to be aware of when using the interactive objects in open space, eg. containers - did you implement any special settings or alike so that people won't lose their stored objects etc.? As you recommended i made the house in an interiour cell and copied it to tamriel - i also did the mannequins and weaponracks etc in that cell and then ported them to tamriel.
Mr.Ichy 16 Jul, 2012 @ 8:39am
Love it just wish it had a storage room with some more chests and book shelves.
babserdiquack 15 Jul, 2012 @ 1:06pm
ups..skip the last question - just found out that my I/O routines are scrambled - tampered with them a day ago while programming university stuff ..due to this i couldn't unpack the bsa files today - sorry for premature questioning...
babserdiquack 15 Jul, 2012 @ 8:14am
hi wreznor - i rebuild a little :) i have a question concerning static items - i did a little decorating and it's a real pain when using ingredients for example, which are of course non-static - i wish to make them static but so far the only thing i found in forums etc is that you have to download something to export the mesh, then make a new static item and state the mesh in question there but isn't there an easier way by editing the item perhaps? just wondering if you know something about that - thx in advance...
dark navi 8 Jul, 2012 @ 12:16pm
This is by far my favorite house. I dont want something huge where everything is spread out. This is compacted with all the essentals. Thanks you!
babserdiquack 6 Jul, 2012 @ 3:17am
thanks for looking at the screenshots! yeah i thought about the lag issue - will test it frequently from item to item. At the moment there's no noticeable lag - but of couse that's to be expected since it's not filled. However i always suspected that this house will be a version for middle to high level cpus - sort of a contrary to your light-version but i certainly will limit my enthusiasm when it comes to decorations and stuff. I was hoping you could include it on your nexus Grey Ledge side when it's finished, so that people can choose from the different versions. Take care!
wreznor  [author] 5 Jul, 2012 @ 6:15pm
babserdiquack --- looks great! Reminds me of a football stadium, especially the middle!
However, you might want to test it out and see if it lags any, especially once you start filling it up with stuff, all those objects might wiegh down the cpu. But it looks quite remarkable expecially up on the cliff. Good luck!
babserdiquack 4 Jul, 2012 @ 5:06am
Hi wreznor - it's done - the base is standing...i uploaded a few screenshots - there are still some minor issues i just discovered ingame - flickering due to overlapping and some floorboards etc are a little bit out of alignment because i probably marked them accidently when aligning other things - just did not want to go back to the CK and fix all of i right now, also the placement of the house in the world is just for testing and of course not the final one - i hope you like it - enjoy!
babserdiquack 29 Jun, 2012 @ 11:54am
ah thanx - i just saw it - i guess theres no way to remove them - you would have done it otherwise..
wreznor  [author] 29 Jun, 2012 @ 10:49am
In the ck, click view, then collision---what you'll see are the guides for the logs are built into the structure (it is a sawmill)--- that's the invisible barriers you're hitting-----nothing in the creation kit is as easy as it should be......
babserdiquack 29 Jun, 2012 @ 7:02am
screenshots are online now...
kevski_23 29 Jun, 2012 @ 6:46am
@wrenzor, Thanks for the effort. Yeah I know the plant regrowth in skyrim is a bit derpy, and at first I thought that was it, but after playing Skyrim for a few weeks (real time, at least 4 hours a day) and mining the ebony ore mines (that are rumoured to take the longest to respawn) at least 5 times I was starting to think that wasn't it.

If you can't find an answer it's ok, maybe I'll try GL:2 and maybe thatfixes the problem.
Anyway thanks for the effort again!
babserdiquack 29 Jun, 2012 @ 6:37am
found a new thing - right in through the middle of the basic structure lead some invisible thing - i can't see it in the creation kit but i bump into it when testing it ingame - i posted a picture on my profile - i took the basic house structure and attached it to the front entrance - with the ramp side towards the door - so you have to walk upwards a bit - with this i hoped to avoid the problems of having to build in a second floor - do you know anything about this barrier in the middle of the structure - it nearly goes all the way along the symmetric axis, it's not high you can jump over it or walk on it .. thanx for the input.
babserdiquack 29 Jun, 2012 @ 5:12am
thank you for the prompt answer - got it and will try it myself - as for the location-your right the spot is perfectly even - i ran through the world yesterday to find some alternative places as i love the woods of riften but the terrain is kinda rough there - a few good spots in the riverwood area though - thanx again - will get back to you...
