Wouldn't surprise me, this is a little mod I made 4 years ago for mostly vanilla games. It modifies a few vanilla items, rather than create new ones, so other mods that change the same things may well be incompatible,

Had a bunch of mods installed, had a problem when I clicked on trading post it crashed the game, when I was scouting what the problem was with just this mod disabled I was able to click on the trading post.

Its a new buildings or it replace the vanilla ones ?
Chaddy Fazbear 30 Dec, 2016 @ 8:39am
Hmm.. strange. Anyways thanks a lot for your response, I'll let you know if I'm able to fix it!
Hex  [author] 29 Dec, 2016 @ 3:30pm
I'm afraid I experienced no such issues back when I was playing.

To my knowledge, access violations usually result when a program tries to read or write to an address that it can't (because it belongs to another program, or it doesn't exist etc etc) It could be caused by anything from bad software logic, to faulty RAM. Either way, it's a problem that should be well beyond the scope of a mod, given that mods can only use code that already exists, in banished a mod can't execute its own scripts...Or at least mine don't.
Chaddy Fazbear 29 Dec, 2016 @ 6:53am
Update, it crashes anyway with the same message. Is there a fix for it already maybe?
Chaddy Fazbear 29 Dec, 2016 @ 6:50am
The game crashes everytime a Merchant arrives. After that it says something about a fatal access violation. I turned the mod off once it arrived again and the error didn't pop-up, very nice mod but I hope this can be fixed. Good job m8!:steamhappy:

Thank you for updating us, without a suite of testers, it is possible for bugs to slip through that only emerge under certain specific situations. Comments like yours help us problem solve causes of bugs.
Danger Snoodle 18 Dec, 2016 @ 5:58am
After some time, i came back to this game... It apears that the previeus errors have disapeared (New save file). I NO LONGER THINK THAT THE CRASHES CAME FROM THIS MOD!:steamhappy:
Hex  [author] 22 Nov, 2016 @ 8:52am
@sharkton I've heard of this bug before, but I've been unable to replicate it on games that have only used this mod on my own system, so I have no idea why it happens, possibly some nteraction with another mod. I'm not sure.

@aidynmaster Banished has run its course for me, I'm no longer interested in making more mods. However, here's what I'll do, I'll make the source code available for anyone who wants it. I'll post a link in the description.

Love the mod, but it crashes when I demolish an empty mine (emptied before the mod) and when I build a town hall or trading post. These are the crashes I've had so far.
Jack Kenseng 21 Nov, 2016 @ 5:20am
I'd love you if you could make this compatible with CC.
Hex  [author] 20 Sep, 2016 @ 10:04am
This mod doesn't touch any of the townhall files.
Hex  [author] 11 Sep, 2016 @ 9:18am
It does.
Wen 11 Sep, 2016 @ 7:11am
Shame that this isn't compatible with CC. But does this allow me to have a quarry give stone endlessly?
Hex  [author] 7 Sep, 2016 @ 5:27pm
You're welcome.
imfrank 7 Sep, 2016 @ 11:05am
thanx for all the help.
Hex  [author] 7 Sep, 2016 @ 10:20am
Havent done any work tweaking the placement of buildings, but if it were me, I would start by tweaking the 'CreateDragDescription createdrag' function and see if that has an impact. Located within Template\CropField.rsc

Good luck and happy modding!
Hex  [author] 7 Sep, 2016 @ 10:12am
Oh yes, I've heard of mods like that, I think CC makes them a little more flexible (i.e. a virtualy but not quite flat piece of ground is no longer a problem. I could attempt a mod myself, I'll have a look and see if i can spot the line to change for you to experiment with.
imfrank 7 Sep, 2016 @ 9:37am
or at least answers. seems he still uses steam. i asked if he would upload the mod files so someone could take it over. it'd be selfish to say no.it's a cool mod. mountain fields. you can plant on mountains. thanx.
Hex  [author] 7 Sep, 2016 @ 8:39am
I had a feeling that would be the case. I guess you'll have to hope the author comes back.
imfrank 6 Sep, 2016 @ 10:04pm
but being that the kit just packs, i don't think a mod can be unpacked.
imfrank 6 Sep, 2016 @ 10:02pm
got it!
have to use dx 9.
so, do everything as normal. after starting with Application, gotta open Options and choose dx9.
add it to your guide. it may help ppl who can't figure it out.
thanx!

Same here RE: windows 10, though only just upgraded to the anniversary patch, but except for attempting to force cortana on me (disableable through regedit) i havent noticed much difference excepting graphical elements.
imfrank 6 Sep, 2016 @ 9:31pm
that's really cool of you. ty.
but..... i already have the newest version. lol
i too spent a few hrs looking. when the BuildResource ran i thought i was good. then i ran the Application & it gave me errors. i googled it with no luck finding the solution.
thx for your help tho.
if you do find out why i'd appreciate the help. and you can add it to your guide.
oh, i'm running windows 10.
Hex  [author] 6 Sep, 2016 @ 9:09pm
Oh, I bet I know what's wrong. I spent a few hours struggling with this until I googled and found out that the latest verion of the mod kit on shiningrocks 'modding' section is FUBAR, however, they have a more recent version available here:.
http://www.shiningrocksoftware.com/download/
For some reason they did not update that main page yet, At least, as of me starting my guide to modding that I wrote but have yet to publish.
imfrank 6 Sep, 2016 @ 8:45pm
thx, but i can't even run the kit. that's why i asked if you use it. i got it installed properly but when i run the application i get an error. idk what's wrong.
thx anyway.
Hex  [author] 6 Sep, 2016 @ 8:35pm
I do use the mod kit, but as a newby im not entirely sure how to decompile someone elses mod, I could try though, if you tell me what mod you're looking at. No promises though.
imfrank 6 Sep, 2016 @ 8:32pm
sure. i'd like to use your mod, so thanx.
btw - do you use the mod kit? i just got into banished. there's a cool mod that i'd like to try & fix, the author is retired. but it won't run. keeps giving me errors. thx.
Hex  [author] 6 Sep, 2016 @ 8:28pm
Thank you for the information, I'm not surprised, as CC is a TCM (Total Converion Mod), but I will add a note about it.Thank you for the feedback.
imfrank 6 Sep, 2016 @ 5:58pm
not compatible with cc
Hex  [author] 11 Aug, 2016 @ 9:06pm
