there are literally no errors in the log, i have no idea why it isnt working, the pngs are "vulperafemale" and "vulperamale" and using both lower and uppercase didnt fix it, both in the folder and in the script. also replacing vulperamale and female with "humanmale" and female also didnt work even when i pasted the appropriate images into the folder. plus the image is the correct size 25x24 iirc

There can be a few reasons why your icon is not showing, and it can be unrelated to the image itself.

Are there any other errors in your log?

so i have the icon set up as "characterImage" : "/interface/title/vulperafemale.png" unchanged from the template, but its still not showing up, what do i do, and how do i fix it?

Ah I just used 'myfirstrace' as an example. Choose a name that will be unique so you don't have a clash with any other race. Doesn't have to be 'Axolootl', but if there isn't another race with that file name I don't see why not.

And you are spot on about the hairstyles

and for me not to do so many hairstyles for each gender, do i just delete the ones i don't need plus the names of those hairstyles on the .species file?

I do have a question... i named the species my first race. all the assets that have 'myfirstrace' in them, do i need to rename them to 'Axolootl' to match the .species file?

Am I able to make multiple Race Mods with a single subscription. I wouldn't be super surprised that the solution would involve copy-pasting the folder containing the mod.

Might be a dumb question, but... HOW exactly do you use 7z to open this?

Fixed the treasurepools.patch file

Removed the items that are found in the starter treasure, and replaced it with the line

{"pool" : "starterTreasure"},

This allows for other mods to tweak the vanilla starter treasure, and have it apply to the custom race.

I am sorry for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall of the race mods that have my error in them >_>

I think the AI race used an older version of my template where I made an error naming that booster file, or something. It rings a bell.

Go to ships\[RACE]\blockKey.config and make sure 'bigboosterflamesktest' is bigboosterflame[RACE]

Where [RACE] is whatever the ai race calls its files.

This mod should only clash with anyone who didn't change the metadata file for their race.

I am assuming you downloded from the chucklefish or nexus website? Because I have not made this mod available to sub to.

Check your log file. Its called starbound (no numbers)

I managed to get around this bug by going into admin mode before interacting with the SAIL and using /spawnitem shipT1. Not sure why this happened.

When i started up the game after creating a character, there was no teleporter on the ship. I also could not enable admin (or even any commands, nothing showed up when i typed them)

Could this mod be clashing with other mods?
