Seeing as this was updates last in 2016, the game and how crew are handled has changed, a LOT. So I wouldn't be surprised that this don't work anymore.

This will only work with non vanilla races -- though you may be able to find a patch.

I have not tested this in the new update, and it's fairly likely it broke. I recommend the build your own ship mod for expandable ship crew sizes.

If this mod does still work, you'd probably have to upgrade your ship following the update for it to take effect. Sorry :(

I think this is bugged with this update. I had about 30 members in my old ship prior to the update, and when i log in, half of them teleport out (and it says they are inactive in the crew section).

So i figured, well, let me unsub, boot the game up, resub, boot the game up and make a new vanilla character, worked my way upgrading the ship and hiring new crew mates. Nope, capped out, its bugged unfortunately.

Nvm I made it work with FU but when I got second tier ship I was not able to get any more than 2 crew members and I could not upgrade, How to fix?

Mmm, but I think my vanilla final tier ship broke it... I cannot do anything then...

I mean I am playing with some friends and I know just with only a few more members is all I want but SB kind of adds only two per upgrade on the ship and thus it feels lame to not have a ship more lively than it is.

Well good because I know I rather go with this mod for myself because I find the crew size to be quite lackluster to the actual size of my ship.

I'm pretty sure this data is client side and tied to your character, so yes.

Dang, hopefully when, or rather IF they update the game they add some more commands, like setting your max crew size. If I can use commands to spawn monsters over the max level, then they should let you set your max crew over the max level.

Hmmm :/ unfortunately I don't really know what to say. This mod has always been kind of hit-or-miss, the way chucklefish handles crew size growth is really difficult to build around so any number of things could be breaking in your case.

are you using BYOS (build your own ship) or are you playing as a non-vanilla race?

It appears I also can't hire crewmembers who you can in the vanilla game either ( ex: human, hylotl, bla bla bla ). I only upgraded to tier 8 AFTER I subscribed to this mod, so I don't get why it won't work.

Ok, so is there a way to make this work if you can't normally get the race as crew, but they ARE in the vanilla game? Cause like, Alpaca Deadbeat and Agaran are in the vanilla game, just not as crew, so is there a way to make that work?

you said you did playthrough with the BYOS from FU,I played the BYOS from FU, Even I add more than 12 crew beds, but I still can't recuirt more than 12 crew :( , is it my problem?

well if you dont have a big project in that ship of yours then just reset your ship

no im not using a modded race and i cant remember anything that changed my ship into something else aside from that tier 9 ship mod (which im now stuck with) and nothing else

ok i may have made some misunderstanding i didnt download the actuall BYOS mod is just downloaded the sit mod (here's the link https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=923219852&searchtext=sit+mod) this mod can go trough anything which makes me able to get out of my ship and build wathever i want so for short the original game ship still exist. meaning the BYOS shoudn't bother me at all. Its something else thats making me unable to get more members but i dont even know a clue of it. i really wanna have this mod and i hope you can find a way to fix this.

Its not working for me :( after i downloaded that t9 ship mod my ai still keeps saying that i still need to kick off my crew for more space even tho i upgraded it too t9, and i can't just delete my ship and start again because i did a BYOS and it takes more than a day to rebuild. i really wanna have this mod and im running out of ideas so it would really help if i could get some options on what to do. srry for the language if mistaken.

So I recently did a playthrough with the BYOS from FU, and yea, you have to follow FU's progression there and add crew beds.

The BYOS from FU requries you to build crew beds that add crew member capacity.

it's not too terribly complicated to do, you're welcome to emulate what I did here to make it work with BYOS
