One of my absolute FAVORITE mods!

Well, your doing good, keep it up :D
Hex  [author] 11 Sep, 2016 @ 9:42pm
Thank you. That's kind of the philosophy I am working with. Subtle changes that don't easy-mode the game.

I have to say i like your mods, you don't just slap things together and make what is essentially a cheat, just minor things that end up improving, but not breaking the experience. Hats off to you.

I am glad you found it useful.
Keen 25 Aug, 2016 @ 12:18pm
Fantastic! I did wonder why it cost stone to move stone XD This is much more logical!

Thank you! This will be a big help to make a town in the moutains
Hex  [author] 6 Aug, 2016 @ 1:41pm
You're welcome.
Also I've updated this mod. This was my first mod and I've learned some things since then. Other mods that change the tunnel in some way (but not the cost) should now be compatible.

Thank you Xez! I will try it out the next time I will be playing.
*psst* go search for SB Official @ youtube.

The changes may be too dramatic, let me know if you think the stone outputs needs to be dialed back.
Uroxus 5 Aug, 2016 @ 1:31pm
Thanks for that! Will certainly help with my stone-less small population :D

Inital Upload, increased ooutput of mines and Quarries, makes them last longer, and makes them slightly safer.
Hex  [author] 5 Aug, 2016 @ 9:35am
I'll see what I can do, I personally felt the production rate was too slow for the number of people you'd have spending/losing their lives in the quarries and mines.
Semirotta 5 Aug, 2016 @ 2:18am
Xez suggestion; Create a mod that enchances Quarry (and Mine too?) to give out 3-4 times the stone they give now (I think that would be legit) and make the death chances 50% lower. Also if possible; make the Quarries removeable so it wouldn't leave the hole behind so the ground could be used into something else after it's done? :D or make them infinite, you would need one place with 3-6 quarries for proper stone production depending on the needs. They would never run out of stone = no need to remove and make new ones to waste space. There already usually is very limited space :D I have trouble going past 900 pop cap even in modded game at times without any map largerer etc.
Uroxus 4 Aug, 2016 @ 10:28am
@Xez that would be quite a helpful mod. Most of the deaths I'm getting now are literally from 'rocks falling on people'. I've got the maximum amount of people working in the quarry, all educated and only get 280ish per year :I
Hex  [author] 4 Aug, 2016 @ 9:01am
I thought about it and came to the conclusion that even if the negative stone values worked, it would be easily exploitable. You would get your stone at the beginning of the process, giving you no insentive to put the man-power in to finish them. What if quarries were tweaked to be less dangerous and more profitable instead?
Semirotta 4 Aug, 2016 @ 7:58am
Quarries suck, I never use them until I really have cleaned the whole map from stone. They kill so much people and give approximately no stone at all back.
Hex  [author] 3 Aug, 2016 @ 12:27pm
I thought about trying out negative stone values to see if it would generate stone, not sure if that would work or just confuse the 'bring marterials to construction site' part of the build process. This is my first mod for banished, so there's a lot I still don't know.

The other problem would be balancing it, it wouldn't be balanced for it to be faster than the quarry, after all. So i'd perhaps have to add a small wood requirement (for inside supports) or perhaps increase the build time even further. Thoughts?
Semirotta 3 Aug, 2016 @ 11:01am
You should gain stone and perhaps even some ores while digging the tunnel. Depending on the length of the tunnel and size of the mountain / hill of course.

Glad to see we weren't the only ones who found it strange.
TomaToe 3 Aug, 2016 @ 2:00am
I'd always thought there was somthing up with the price. If anything you should get stonbe. Thanks for making the mod!

I can't wait to try this out! I have thought the exact same thing!
