are the sound coming from RO2 ? =)
STUG 13 Oct, 2018 @ 7:51pm
ehm.. i just have to point this out but, the mod title included *realistic*... have you ever shot a real weapon? :/ not saying this is horrible etc but.. its definately no where near how real is, even videos dont do justice and rob a lot of the sound from anything, bolt actions especially have a glorious initial pop and the glorious part is the echo they produce

Good job guys!
Raison 19 Apr, 2017 @ 3:28am
Awesome!

I was bit of disappointed with the gun sounds because some guns sounded like guns from Insurgency so this mod is perfect! Thanks!
DElmer 14 Apr, 2017 @ 10:30pm

Hi Sokol, sorry for late reply. It seems there is a bug with the shotgun within the game itself. It is skipping some shots in between! I tried without mod and same thing happened. Someone needs to notify the devs.
Waterbottles 5 Apr, 2017 @ 4:31pm
I wish there was a before and after video...
andy 27 Mar, 2017 @ 4:54am

Toilet Paper Merchant  [author] 23 Mar, 2017 @ 5:26pm
Updated with FG42 sound sample
Toilet Paper Merchant  [author] 12 Mar, 2017 @ 7:45am
I checked the sounds, they still work fine. Make sure to hit snd_restart and if you still encounter the issue, unsub the mod, verify the game files for any errors and then re-sub.
Alphonzo 10 Mar, 2017 @ 4:41pm
The mod was working the night before the update now it an on and off occurance half the time im using the mg 42 the sound isen't even there
DeWokkel 21 Feb, 2017 @ 12:20pm
@Lt. Flint: read the discription, it says: "If custom folder is not there just make one."
Toilet Paper Merchant  [author] 7 Feb, 2017 @ 7:46am
Used RO2 version of MG42 which was also taken from a real weapon.
CRAZYNIGHT151 6 Feb, 2017 @ 7:45pm
Is the MG42 sound for this mod Recorded by a real MG42, Because the Saving Private Ryan Movie used real Guns And a person made a sound mod, Inspired by the Movie. He took the Sound and kinda ripped it and now the MG42 Sounds better than this tbh, Camera Quality might be the Problem though.
Squii 26 Jan, 2017 @ 3:05pm
garand
Toilet Paper Merchant  [author] 26 Jan, 2017 @ 6:01am
M1 carbine? Thats because IRL it sounds like a pop gun because of the 30 carbine cartridge.
Squii 25 Jan, 2017 @ 7:22pm
i just want one decent m1 sound on the workshop, every single one is tinny without any punch or beef to it. Does the m1 no justice and is completely unfitting
Mellifluous 5 Jan, 2017 @ 9:05am
It sounds like the MP40 is from a sound mod for the MP40 in RO2
Toilet Paper Merchant  [author] 2 Jan, 2017 @ 11:42am
Yes, MG34/42, thompson and stg44
Gaeus Sexus 2 Jan, 2017 @ 10:53am
Are some of these RO2 sounds?
Astrum the Warbler 26 Dec, 2016 @ 4:13pm
Many of these sounds are low quality.
Borziy 30 Nov, 2016 @ 5:46am
Maybe you could try to reduce crystalizer or sound quality of mp 40 shots so my sound system can atleast handle all that amout of crackling mp 40 shots make?
Toilet Paper Merchant  [author] 30 Nov, 2016 @ 5:02am
Yes very small number of people experience this issue. Unfortunately I tried many solutions but it does not seem to fix that screech effect they mention. This could be a sound hardware related issue which is way out of my scope :/
Borziy 30 Nov, 2016 @ 4:16am
I'm having weird high pitched digitized screeching noices they are mostly noticeable in close quarter shootouts when MP 40 is firing, maybe my sound system not able to handle such high quality sound beign played at such a high rate due to MP 40 rate of fire, all the other sounds seem to sound fine only MP 40 has such sound bug.
Alpharius 23 Nov, 2016 @ 9:57pm
Thanks buddy. MP 40 sounds better and snappy now!
Toilet Paper Merchant  [author] 23 Nov, 2016 @ 11:39am
Updated with new sound for webley revolver, changed Kar98k sounds and amplified a few other sounds. I borrowed the webley and kar98 sound from verdun.
Toilet Paper Merchant  [author] 20 Nov, 2016 @ 7:13am
Very few sounds are from RO. Initially i had used most of them as placeholders, now most of them have been changed except for a handful like the MG34/42, Kar98k, Garand. The Mp40 in RO2 was acceptable but I had gone against it because it didnt sound as I expected (infact there is an mp40 sound mod for RO2 itself). I used a different one which I have tweaked a bit right now, it should sound a bit better,
Alpharius 19 Nov, 2016 @ 10:25pm
This is my fav sound mod so far, using weapon sounds from RO was a great idea. Just one thing, i think the mp40 sounds bad, like it stands out of all the weapons because of how bad it sounds, like its low quality. I could just use the one from RO, or from COD3 I hope u'll consider my suggestion, and hope youll finish the sound pack eventually!
Natriumarm 18 Nov, 2016 @ 12:25pm
I Think these are the sounds of the Red Orchestra: Darkest Hour mod. A god damn great geame
Toilet Paper Merchant  [author] 11 Nov, 2016 @ 3:25am
Also show me which films you think I used sounds from.
Toilet Paper Merchant  [author] 11 Nov, 2016 @ 3:21am
Do you have any source or proof that I have used sounds from cinema? Please extract my mod and point out which sounds I have used from cinema.
Wesker's Wife 10 Nov, 2016 @ 11:28pm
Doesn't like cinematic sounds, uses sounds... FROM CINEMA, only 50% of the sounds were done because a player base is now all of a sudden required for the other 50% (handling). and I LOVE how you make it sound like you're building the great wall when in reality, people like Ribbon easily does handling, but w/e moving on. Finally if you can't see how bland most of the vanalla sounds are in terms of handling, then we have problems friend.
Toilet Paper Merchant  [author] 31 Oct, 2016 @ 2:28pm
Nope because the 2nd part uses a script which steam does not allow from running if you subscribe. This is primarily to prevent people from loading illegal code stored via the workshop to cheat in games (yes it has happened). So we need to download it seperatley and run it.
Chicken Jockey 31 Oct, 2016 @ 2:08pm
you couldnt make a 2nd part on the workshop?
Toilet Paper Merchant  [author] 29 Oct, 2016 @ 2:02pm
New sound for the Browning automatic rifle added. This one replaces the slightly dull RO2 sample with a more accurate depiction.
Toilet Paper Merchant  [author] 29 Oct, 2016 @ 4:57am
Updated for new weapon Browning Hi Power.
Toilet Paper Merchant  [author] 19 Oct, 2016 @ 7:30am
If there is enough interest and most importantly, enough players for this game requesting it, I may do it. But currently its at the bottom of my priority list because i see nothing wrong with the vanilla handling. I dont see the glaring difference in the mechanical component sounds when it comes to realistic sounds.
Rymd 19 Oct, 2016 @ 7:23am
Why i found this funny was how you responded to the handling sounds.
Toilet Paper Merchant  [author] 19 Oct, 2016 @ 7:20am
Yes I have. In fact this mod uses sound scripts particularly for sound randomization. Not sure why you find this funny though.
