so this is my first time subscribing to a planet,how does it work? is it like a blueprint where i load into a pre gen world? or a world in which its already loaded? or something else

Yes, planets are not formed with roads in space :) this is natural shape. I like unique and unfiendly planet design. Because many planets on workshop are very friendly, very easy, not difficult.
