If you need to get rotten food for the mushroom seeds, you can incubate the chicken eggs and just hope one doesn't give you another chicken. It'll be in the incubator when the timer ends, possibly should incubate one at a time.
Boltte man 24 iun. 2023 la 7:15
why do you want rotten food? its basically trash item....
Doodlinka 24 iun. 2023 la 6:30

Wakazu 25 apr. 2023 la 10:57
Needs an update to work with Elithian Alliance aegian vegies
BlakLite 23 aug. 2022 la 15:07
Do the effects work only on vanilla food, or on food added by other mods, too?
Gtifighter 31 mart. 2022 la 14:16
And how the hell am I supposed to get Rotten Food to craft regular Mushroom Seeds in FU now?
Please add a crafting recipe in character crafting or somewhere.
SimplyAzgoth 11 ian. 2022 la 5:04
Mod works with FU but makes you unable to get rot.
Revalopod 16 aug. 2021 la 14:57
awesome
MokahTGS 6 aug. 2021 la 16:13
Confirming that this mod does work as intended with FU and a lot of other mods.
Revalopod 17 oct. 2020 la 18:27
does it stop FU food from rotting and allows it to stack to 1000?
Grimgor 17 oct. 2020 la 16:14
@Revalopod, i haven't seen any conflicts with FU, but it doesn't show the added effects of foods from FU
Revalopod 5 oct. 2020 la 10:02
does it work for FU?
MidnightChord™ 2 febr. 2020 la 12:09
Coudl you add support for Elithian Races?
Sovereign 11 iun. 2019 la 14:20
@Boltte: I did run across another mod that allows food stacks with timers, but to get around the above issue, the food can only be stacked if it has the same timer. They did implement a fix to this by allowing you to place food in a fridge, click a fork & knife icon, and it averages out the timers for any food in there before stacking them - this doesn't work in your inventory, so you'll have to move food to/from a fridge to stack.

I'm not going to name/link the mod here as I find that tacky to do in another mod's thread, but I'm sure you'll be able to find it.

In any case, hope that was helpful.
Sovereign 11 iun. 2019 la 14:19
@Boltte: I'm pretty sure the reason the mod author removed the spoil timer is because of the stacking. Think about it - if you have a stack of food, how would you know which food in that stack has what time left to spoil? Each item in that stack could be different - but I am willing to bet the game tracks that stack as a single item - so there wouldn't be a way to have multiple timers on it.
Sonic Chaos 13 28 mai 2019 la 0:28
ok so the food doesnt spoil but it only stacks to 20 for me
Boltte man 16 ian. 2019 la 19:00
Do you have one with just the latter affect dismissing the former effect? Coz I still like the like the idea of food rottening away, but dislike how inconsistent the game is on stacking items.....
Shedar 10 mai 2018 la 5:31
Please fix the mod after FU update its buggy
Neo  [autor] 24 aug. 2017 la 5:12
I pushed a small update to the main mod that fixes the issue with Frackin Races.
Stitchless 19 aug. 2017 la 10:50
Thanks @Rylasasin ; very easy fix indeed :SBpanda: Hopefully @Neo will do it properly soon.
Alb 18 aug. 2017 la 7:43
Yeah, I've been noticing that my foods are only stacking up to 20 right now. (Which, come to think of it, seems rather balanced)

What's FU doing to food that's messing with the stacking number? I thought they didn't touch food that much, other than adding their own foods.
Rylasasin 9 aug. 2017 la 4:21
The fix is exceedingly simple:

All you need to do is add the line

"priority" : 102,

To the metadata.

(Frackin Races runs on Priority 101)
Neo  [autor] 9 aug. 2017 la 0:48
Hm ok thanks for the info. I'll look into it next days.
Rylasasin 8 aug. 2017 la 5:56
Unfortunately, Frackin Race's new update seems to override the stacking feature. Bleh.
Myst Leissa 13 iun. 2017 la 0:58
Well for better or worse we've been playing with opposing ends of the equation for awhile now - I think my question was more aimed at if it's causing crashes with the game - which it doesn't appear to be - thanks for the response tho.
Neo  [autor] 12 iun. 2017 la 23:25
I'm pretty sure that both client and server need the addon installed to work properly.
Myst Leissa 12 iun. 2017 la 17:00
question: Is this addon (specifically the addon for never spoiling food) client-side or server-side? I play with a friend who loves the benefits of never spoiling food but I prefer more of a challenge and we play together on her server (technically adhoc through steam - but usually she's "hosting"). If I leave the improved food Descriptions Main Mod Enabled on My Side can I disable the addon and have the other party actually able to reap the benefits?
Neo  [autor] 10 iun. 2017 la 10:13
Sure
Someone 10 iun. 2017 la 6:23
works with 1.3 ?

Elithian Race mod Food does not stack :(
Doctopus 29 dec. 2016 la 0:00
This addon with its base mod has made the whole food and cooking mechanic actually enjoyable. Thank you for making this, I was really longing to see concrete stats in the game, never have to stress about food rotting and being able to stack my food as much as I want. This satisfied all that.

If anything, I'd say the only thing I'm missing is to have the duration effects of food be 20x longer. Otherwise I only use food for boss fights, than as a regular thing, since the effects are too short, especially for multiple hours worth of planet adventuring and crafting.
Kali 15 nov. 2016 la 17:35
i like food..
Buthzaan 7 sept. 2016 la 3:38
:vlad: Hi! I've tested it now, too aaand yes! It does! Good job :D:
Neo  [autor] 31 aug. 2016 la 4:26
This mod definitely stops the spoil time. Keep in mind that the timer refresh only every 10 seconds.
Buthzaan 30 aug. 2016 la 21:57
:vlad: I think, the spoil still continues. I had this mod subscribed but still had rot time, so I had to subscribe to the "Rot-B-Gone"-Mod, now it's all fine.
I did no further testing till then, maybe anyone may have an eye on this, so it may get solved ^^ :orb:
ArcaneArchon 9 aug. 2016 la 4:52
What I meant was that sometimes food doesn't stack on its own. It's fine if I do it manually, though.
Neo  [autor] 9 aug. 2016 la 4:38
What means trouble exactly?
ArcaneArchon 9 aug. 2016 la 2:59
I have a few mods installed and I'm having trouble with food stacking.
DG 8 aug. 2016 la 16:55
Food stacking works fine for me now, thanks for the fix!
Neo  [autor] 8 aug. 2016 la 15:48
I pushed an update to fix the issue about stacking problems. Let me know if it works for you guys.
Neo  [autor] 7 aug. 2016 la 19:25
Thanks for your reports guys. In the meantime I found the reason for this issue and I'm currently working on a fix.
Shark Daddy 7 aug. 2016 la 17:44
Ditto on stacking issues. It seems as though the food has a spoil timer for a short duration after being picked up, and thus is unstackable with the non-decaying stack. It is stackable once the rot timer goes away.
Neo  [autor] 7 aug. 2016 la 15:16
Ok thanks, I will take a look at this.
DG 7 aug. 2016 la 9:43
I'm having the same issue: food does not stack correctly when you pick it up. I tested with a fresh character with no other mods installed, used admin mode to spawn 10 pieces of corn one at a time, and they never stacked properly. Sometimes they would combine a few times before starting a new stack. I tried this several times and the stacks were always different.
Barf Ninja 4 aug. 2016 la 7:39
The issue I think I'm having might be due to harvesting stuff. Like, I go around in the starter planet, I gather Pearlpeas and Wheat, and it didn't stack. It had several small stacks, but when I put them on top of eachother, they all stacked neatly. It just didn't happen when I harvested them though.
Neo  [autor] 4 aug. 2016 la 7:26
Example: I have some kinds of food in my inventory. When I pick up new food it stacks with the existing ones in the inventory. Like so:

http://prntscr.com/c1kb7o --> http://prntscr.com/c1kbiu
Barf Ninja 4 aug. 2016 la 7:11
For some reason food I catch is not stacking with the food I already had in my inventory, but if I stack it by hand it works fine. Is it supposed to act that way?
Neo  [autor] 1 aug. 2016 la 16:03
In this case it is important that your Stack Enlarger mod loads after this mod because the latest mod in the load order sets the stack size. If your loading order is wrong you should ask the author of Stack Enlarger for changing his metafile.

He only have to add one line to the metafile: "includes" : [ "Improved Food Descriptions [Addon]" ],
M644 1 aug. 2016 la 15:57
The Stack Enlarger SE mod makes it so everything stacks up to 10,000 so i just had to ask
Neo  [autor] 1 aug. 2016 la 15:55
Food Stack should be no problem. I have never tried the other mod.
