Good news, turns out Heemi already made a mod that recolors those parts to black, which is compatible with many avian sprite mods while also allowing you to keep yellow/orange coloring for other characters or NPCs. (unless you want to replace all colors to black)

Apologies for taking so long just to link another mod, but just today i was able to download SB again and check if there were any mods that already changed the sprites before i started to do one on my own.
I thought there were already mods for black arms/legs, but they lack black beaks and also seem to not work correctly.
So, sure, however i haven't touched Starbound in years and i barely have time to even do what i want these days, i'll do it but it might will take a while.
Oh, yeah, that's Steams fault, not Starbound's :P
And alright then, feel free to modify them as you like, however if you intent on uploading a tweaked version make sure to give credit to the original autor: h0ax
:P
All workshop mods are located on Steam/steamapps/workshop/content
You will see a lot of random numbers, with probably more numbers inside, those are the ID of the games and the ID of mods/workshop stuff respectively.
Starbound's ID is 211820 and the ID of this mod is 731063395
So, you should find the assets of this mod after installing it on:
Steam/steamapps/workshop/content/211820/731063395
Inside there should be a contents.pak file that you can unpack to get the files n.n
(If you don't know how to unpack .pak files, you can find more info on the Starbound forums)
