MicroTurtle  [ophavsmand] 20. mar. 2022 kl. 7:46
@select19 I still think it is one of the most important mods in existence :) but this is not the version you want. Someone else has been keeping my creation up to date here https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1541959128
selest19 19. mar. 2022 kl. 9:05
wait a mod so i don't have to use vanilla expanded for good research rooms?
MicroTurtle  [ophavsmand] 25. maj 2017 kl. 17:12
Mod is updated for A17, will update when i figure out how to uplaod it :/
Its still Comaptaible with all previous version soo no reason to upload it as a new one...
MicroTurtle  [ophavsmand] 11. jan. 2017 kl. 15:37
@LittleMikey, it should show up as a mod in red text (under all the mods that are not red)

It does that beacause it was created for A14. It still works perfectly in A16 though, just ignoring the games warning.

But the source code is here
https://github.com/NiklasWilson/rimworld_sterileWall

Hey, I have a weird problem: This mod isn't showing up in my mod list at all. I've tried unsubscribing and resubscribing. Any idea what I could be doing wrong? (Or do you have a manual download link I could use?)
Kolljak 5. dec. 2016 kl. 16:33
Same when i build a mountian base i like to have some sort of nice interior wall and cover the outside in sturdiur armour.
MicroTurtle  [ophavsmand] 5. dec. 2016 kl. 16:03
@Kolljak I have not. I really jsut wanted something to match sterile tile. What kind of decorative walls were you thinking? I know in the mods I have had installed some did add other wall styles. I am a very very poor artist and designing decorative walls is not a task for me.
Kolljak 5. dec. 2016 kl. 12:42
have you thought about making decrative walls? i dont see anyone makeing a mod for that.
Kas 31. aug. 2016 kl. 5:28
@Bundeswehr The mod Redist heat makes edits to the vanilla vents so everything goes back to it. It uses the CCC placement restricting feature thingie
Kas 31. aug. 2016 kl. 5:16
@Bundeswehr The ducting work perfect :) Its just not possible to put vents on them, and the mod Clutter structure (which adds walls too) have the same issue. So there is somewhere there is a filter where to place the vents. I've tried asked on the official support forum, but as of now the support has been horribly bad. Link : https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=25223.0
MicroTurtle  [ophavsmand] 31. aug. 2016 kl. 4:39
@Kas I noticed that as well (the vanilla issue) right now just remove the wall and then place the cooler/vent, they still seal the room, it just doesnt auto remove the wall for you. I will try to find a solution to this in a couple weeks.

If your talking about duct pipes from another mod like redist heat mod, I can't add compatible for any of those mods atleast not without extreme effort on my part and possible adding requirments for you guys However I think it would be fairly easy for those mod creators to make a little patch mod that makes it work.
Kas 30. aug. 2016 kl. 6:05
Hi, I can place duct pipes in the wall but not the duct outlets. Is this what you are sturggeling with making work? Since I cant place vanilla vents either so somthing default isnt working
MicroTurtle  [ophavsmand] 26. aug. 2016 kl. 15:45
@Morgloz, yea I kinda like how compatible and non requiring this mod is, but that said there are many other mods that add things like lights attach to walls, would love for it to be compatible with those.
Morgloz 26. aug. 2016 kl. 6:36
@Bundeswehr Maybe, but I don't know if it is worth making your mod require to have CCL installed.
MicroTurtle  [ophavsmand] 26. aug. 2016 kl. 3:56
hmm im not using CCL for this mod but maybe if I did it, your may pick it up? small chance?
Morgloz 25. aug. 2016 kl. 4:49
@Bundeswehr I think the only other solution would be to ask the guys from CCL to make a base wall .cs and that the other mods create their walls inheriting it, since my mod uses the CCL restricted placement utillity.
MicroTurtle  [ophavsmand] 24. aug. 2016 kl. 4:27
That may not be the exact spelling lol, my source code for this is on github.
MicroTurtle  [ophavsmand] 24. aug. 2016 kl. 4:27
@Azinai, just put a <cleanliness> tag on the object.
SpiritRetro 23. aug. 2016 kl. 11:32
is there a way to project cleanliness stat to an area?
im trying to do the sterile light mod myself but im stuck
MicroTurtle  [ophavsmand] 22. aug. 2016 kl. 4:31
@Morgloz hmm is there a way I can override the <compclass> in my mod to add the compatiablity? Or maybe make a little patch mod? Only about 1 out of 10 people are willing to do the fix you suggested, would like to remove the trouble from the user if possible.
Morgloz 21. aug. 2016 kl. 11:04
@Everyone asking for RedistHeat compatibility:
Ok, the only thing you have to do is to add <li>NW_sterileWall</li> in the <thingDefs> list inside the <compClass>CommunityCoreLibrary.CompRestrictedPlacement</compClass> section of every wall object in the .xml
Sir Luis 20. aug. 2016 kl. 11:40
can u make sterile a materiasl you can build things out of ?
MicroTurtle  [ophavsmand] 20. aug. 2016 kl. 7:02
@Everyone Ive been sick with pneunomia for the past couple weeks which is why I still have not created lamps.

@luis Once im no longer sick I will work on making an auto door for this, but honestly I figued using the silver auto door was just fine, do you really want a building object on the structure menu just for sterile auto-doors?

@Silveressa I would like to do that, I really want to make compatiable with those external vents from another mod, but havn't figured out which mod added them.

@Morgolz let me know if it needs to be done on my end.
Morgloz 18. aug. 2016 kl. 10:41
@Silveressa
I'll see if that's fixable on my end.
Silveressa 16. aug. 2016 kl. 20:13
Just wondering if you plan to make this compatible with LD's Red dist heat mod? (All that's needed is the ability to add pieces inside walls (like duct work etc.)
Starfoth The Burgundy Silk Rug 16. aug. 2016 kl. 17:29
Luis, the reinforced glass for glass+lights works well for sterile
Sir Luis 16. aug. 2016 kl. 16:49
i gurdd no hope for sterile glass and wall tiles as well as sterile auto doors and sterile lamps?
Sir Luis 15. aug. 2016 kl. 10:27
tbh i also want sterile lamp
Sir Luis 15. aug. 2016 kl. 10:25
what about sterile glass wall tiles? as well as sterile doors mainly auto doors.
MicroTurtle  [ophavsmand] 5. aug. 2016 kl. 16:39
Ill play with it, to make it as balanced as possible.
MicroTurtle  [ophavsmand] 5. aug. 2016 kl. 16:39
Im thinking ill make the percentage low, but allow you to stack them, so if you really do haev the reasources to make 30 of them and the room space, then great you can have 30% increase :P
Starfoth The Burgundy Silk Rug 5. aug. 2016 kl. 14:27
But be sure to limit their effect so they don't stack so someone doesn't just walk into the hospital and become insta-cured.
MicroTurtle  [ophavsmand] 5. aug. 2016 kl. 14:12
I will do that. Thanks for the idea.
Ill post a comment in here once it is on the workshop.
I will create it either tonight or tomorrow.
Starfoth The Burgundy Silk Rug 5. aug. 2016 kl. 13:49
@Bundeswehr
You could make it so it increases immunity gain speed by the same amount the vitals monitor does
MicroTurtle  [ophavsmand] 5. aug. 2016 kl. 13:19
@Azini

lol that wiki is almost entierly about water sanitzation, and considering that mecury is needed im not sure how human safe this is when not being used on water sanitation, since its messing with DNA of cells.

but I think I will implement this
http://www.americanultraviolet.com/uv-germicidal-solutions/healthcare-MRS-mobile-room-disinfection.cfml

Loks like that uses the same concept and is bsasically a lamp meant to be around patients, so good find. I will add it this weekend. (It will be a stand alone mod)
MicroTurtle  [ophavsmand] 5. aug. 2016 kl. 5:04
@Everyone, Anyone think I should buff the cleanliness affect the walls produce? I made it small that way you cant just spam the wall to make a extreme clean room, but I think it may be too small.

@Azinai I would make that, be fairly easy to create but I don't think its a real thing. Could you provide a real world example of a light that can do this without burning the people in the same room as it.....

I guess I could add a bug killing light bulb those really exist... and if your killing flys/mosiqutes that makes the room more sanitairy...... Bought 5 of these a couple of days ago to install in my backyard there LED and use 9W to create as much light as a standard 60W while also killing bugs.
sango213 5. aug. 2016 kl. 1:17
@TheSterilizingLightIdea
Yes....cheap...but kills your own people as they stand near it.
SpiritRetro 4. aug. 2016 kl. 16:57
i like the idea of steralising lights xD you know something not quite as effective as sterile tiles but can be placed anywhere as long as they have power, they would be a cheaper substitute for doing full tiles in a room
MicroTurtle  [ophavsmand] 4. aug. 2016 kl. 14:32
Anyone else interested in some more devices to increaces cleanliness?

Like maybe:
Air purifer
Air Cleaner
Air filtration System
(Those first three may all be the same thing)
Something that kills dust mites?

Not really sure what else there is, feel free to list some ideas in here, would like to add some passive power consuming objects.

Decontamination show does sound cool, maybe ill look into adding that. That would need to also elminate radation though.
MicroTurtle  [ophavsmand] 4. aug. 2016 kl. 14:25
@Azinai not sure if you noticed but I did accomplish that.
MicroTurtle  [ophavsmand] 4. aug. 2016 kl. 14:25
@Lunar I do intend to create some more mods that affect cleanliness. Right now im working on an aircurtain, even though granted the cleanilness aspect is minor, main purpose for it is to keep tempertures split.

Reference link if your interested. the First two sentences really explain it pretty well.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_door
John 30. juli 2016 kl. 13:50
An object that you could add would be a decontamination shower, that rinses people at the door, or keeps an area clean much like the sun light keeps an area at day time light levels.
SpiritRetro 29. juli 2016 kl. 6:48
no i mean to the sterile walls
MicroTurtle  [ophavsmand] 29. juli 2016 kl. 6:33
"reduced copy of sterile floors effects" Not sure what you mean by this. You want sterile floors that are less effective?

Or are you asking for the walls to create a sterile effect?

I do intend to make the walls have an effect on how sterile the room is, but I have not gotten around to it. Walls do not have this as an option, so I will need to write some real code (instead of edditing some XML), to make walls have this effect on a room. This weekend I will take a look into making this happen.
SpiritRetro 29. juli 2016 kl. 5:57
could you add a reduced copy of sterile floors effects? that or maybe steralising lights that help keep things clean and disease free
MicroTurtle  [ophavsmand] 24. juli 2016 kl. 15:07
Ok from what I found, walls do not have a difference in insualtion.

Saw that on forums, and confirmed there are no tags in the code that would allow to set that, plus if you go compare on the wiki, its never provided.
MicroTurtle  [ophavsmand] 24. juli 2016 kl. 15:00
Glad you like them, spent alot of time fixing up those art assets.... made this specifically so my hospitals look more like hospitals.

Do they insulate well?
Not sure how to answer that... Honestly didnt know there was a difference in wall insualtion. Ill take a look at the code for them and other walls to see if there is a way to set that.
Starfoth The Burgundy Silk Rug 24. juli 2016 kl. 12:05
Time to bulldoze my hospital and put these in, awesome job!
Do they insulate well?
