This has its on texture, it does not need a new texture for every hat, but, it looks streched and ugly on certain hats, this might get added, but it wont be popular on certain hats

It's incompatible because it's making a new texture instead of changing the RGB values. All the other paints are solid colors because of this. A paint that isn't a single color in unpossible given the way paint works.

this sounded like an absolutely awful idea when i first saw the thumbnail (most paints are), then i clicked on it for a better look and it actually looks pretty good! I would just say to make the pattern a little bigger. and maybe make snow camo or desert camo versions too! xD

i really dont see how it wouldnt be compatible, where some items get painted and where it has to stop might need to be tweaked but it looks fine to me the way it is

Guys, stop bitching about whether it's compatible or not. It's been up for a week and it wasn't marked incompatible. Even so, it's for Valve to decide, so don't hate on an idea. If they wanted to, Valve could remake the paint system if it really doesn't work.

this would be a great idea, ( i want camo hair! :D) but it makes alot of usually crummy hats much better + sniper's cowl looks very good with this paint

I like the concept, but I feel it contrasts a little with the team uniforms. The hats just seem... brighter? Harsher? Like they reflect more light than the uniforms, or fail to scatter it or something... would that be a normal mapping problem? I don't model or work on this sort of thing in any way, so apologies for not knowing what I'm talking about...

Really, doesn't contradict with paint system? Does it replace the $color RGB formats? Oh WAIT, you can't replace RGB with camo, because it doesn't work that way.
